NUCLEAR FALLOUT EXCLUSIVE: We tested 28 water filters in the lab for their ability to remove CESIUM… and these six outperformed all the rest

(Natural News) Cesium-137 is the most dangerous contaminant following a nuclear event. This includes nuclear war, nuclear terrorism or a dirty bomb. Cesium-137 persists in the environment for nearly three centuries, contaminating soils, waterways and the food supply (animal milk in particular) with a radioactive substance that mimics the metabolic pathways of potassium (and therefore out-competes potassium in both plant and animal metabolism, see this journal article in Plant and Cell Physiology: “Cesium Inhibits Plant Growth Primarily Through Reduction of Potassium Influx and Accumulation in Arabidopsis.”)
Cesium is highly radiotoxic. Once cesium-137 is incorporated into your body’s cells — typically introduced through food or water — it is nearly impossible to eliminate. The radioisotope continues to emit radiation from inside your body — at point blank range — with devastating results for chromosomal destruction, tissue degradation and cancer.
Because of the dangers of cesium-137, it is critical to understand how to remove cesium from water using simple, low-tech, low-cost methods. This is what we have achieved in our laboratory testing (see below). This knowledge will allow individuals, families and communities to survive the fallout aftermath of a nuclear event by avoiding cesium-contaminated water.
Using our food science lab instrumentation (ICP-MS, a mass-spec elemental analysis instrument), we tested 28 off-the-shelf water filters for their ability to remove cesium (see below). The results surprised us.
    Understanding cesium

Cesium-137 is an unstable, radioactive isotope of cesium with roughly a 29 year half life.
Cesium-133, on the other hand, is the stable, naturally occurring isotope at 100% isotopic abundance. This means cesium only exists in nature at an atomic mass of 133. (See this chart below. m/z means mass over charge ratio. Essentially it means mass.) (Via WebElements.com)

Stable cesium is not harmful. It is only harmful in its radioactive forms (of which 137 is the most common) where cesium emits both beta and gamma radiation. As the CDC explains:
Exposure to Cs-137 can increase the risk for cancer because of exposure to high-energy gamma radiation. Internal exposure to Cs-137, through ingestion or inhalation, allows the radioactive material to be distributed in the soft tissues, especially muscle tissue, exposing these tissues to the beta particles and gamma radiation and increasing cancer risk.
Thus, removing cesium from contaminated water is critical for survival in a post-fallout scenario.
The water isn’t radioactive; it’s the contaminants carried in the water

Also, please understand that water which is radioactive is merely contaminated with radioactive particles. The H2O itself is not radioactive. It is the things in the water — such as cesium-137 particles — which make the water radioactive as a whole. If you can remove those particles, your water is no longer radioactive. Stated another way, you can’t make water radioactive by merely exposing it to radiation. It doesn’t work that way. Similarly, you can’t make green beans emit microwave radiation by cooking them in the microwave.
For our testing, we acquired the stable form of cesium, Cs-133. We did not use radioactive cesium for our testing because that would be stupid and illegal. Anyone wishing to be instantly investigated by the FBI as a terrorist would only need to go online and attempt to purchase cesium-137. Don’t try that.
You can, however, purchase stable isotopes of cesium-133 on Amazon.com, in various chemical compound forms which dissociate in water to leave behind positive cesium-133 ions (i.e. essentially “free cesium”).
Here’s my video that summarizes the results of our cesium filtration testing:
    Brighteon.com/ce1332b1-6a74-4904-a666-f1c1ac18ceff

Things that do not work to eliminate cesium

Boiling water does not remove cesium-137 because it is an element and cannot be “killed” by boiling.
Adding iodine, chlorine, chlorine dioxide or other sanitizing chemicals to water does not remove cesium either. The original cesium-137 is still there and it is still emitting radiation due to the laws of physics.
There is no simple way to remove the radiation from cesium-137. If there were, the nuclear accidents of both Chernobyl and Fukushima wouldn’t be noteworthy accidents at all.
The only way to eliminate cesium from water is to filter it out.
That’s why we tested 28 off-the-shelf water filters to see what would work. See the results below.
Some water filters are advertised as special radiation removal filters

In acquiring water filters for our testing, we noticed that some water filters are promote as anti-radiation filters, with claims that they specifically remove radioisotopes from water.
Since all the filters we tested removed some amount of cesium, almost any filter can claim to “remove radiation” from water. However, we found no noticeable correlation between water filters that claimed to remove radiation and their actual ability to remove cesium.
In fact — importantly — the water filters that performed the best at removing cesium were not advertised as radiation removal filters.
Or put another way, you could accurately say that, “Some water filters effectively remove cesium even if they make no claims about removing radiation from water.”
Here are the water filters that did the best in our tests

    First, some lab notes:

    • Our “reference solution” or starting solution contained around 78 ppm cesium. That’s a little over 78,000 ppb.
    • Our laboratory is ISO 17025 accredited, which means it is audited, inspected and subjected to proficiency testing on a regular basis.
    • We use ICP-MS instruments for these tests. For cesium, their sensitivity is in the sub-ppb range
    • We use external standards from Inorganic Ventures for our calibration curve, and have a 5-point curve with an impressive curve fit.
    • The water introduced into each water filter came from the same 35-gallon drum, with uniform distribution of cesium in water.
    • Cesium removal effectiveness across the water filters we tested ranged from 17% to 100%.
    • Six of the water filters we tested removed less than 50% of the cesium. Six others removed 99.98% or greater (see below).
    • We did not test pump-style camping water filters, but perhaps we will do that in the future.

    Some disclosures:

    • We ran one test per water filter. Consider this a “snapshot” of that water filter but not necessarily representative of every filter across the entire brand. Your mileage may vary.
    • None of the water filter companies paid us to be included in these tests.
    • DISCLOSURE: The Big Berkey brand is one that we carry in our store, and we earn an affiliate reward for direct sales of that filter. However, we are not linking to that product in our store, and importantly, our lab analysts have no knowledge that we carry this brand. You will also see that the Big Berkey was not the best-performing filter in our tests, although it performed near the top.
    • The Alexa Pure water filter that we have in our possession was not able to allow water to go through its filter, so we were unable to collect a water sample from it, and it has not been included in these test results. This may be our fault, as we have subjected these filters to several different tests and it’s possible we may have inadvertently clogged the filter. We invite the Alexa Pure brand to send us a replacement filter element and we will include them in the next round of tests.

The six water filters that performed the best in our tests are as follows:
Filter name / brand Cesium removal
    Crystal Drop Water Filter 99.98%
    Zen Stone Filter 99.98%
    Big Berkey Water Filter 99.99%
Hskyhan Alkaline Water Filter Water 99.99%
    AquaPail 100%
    Zero Water Filter 100%
DISCUSSION: Both the Zero Water Filter and Hskyhan Alkaline Filter are smaller, pitcher-shaped filters that would be suitable for use in a bugout vehicle or a small living unit. The other units are larger, more suitable for being permanently stationed in a home or office setting.
Note that smaller filters have less media mass which means they are not capable of filtering the larger water volumes that larger filters can handle. For example, even though a Zero Water Filter may achieve 100% filtration, due to the smaller size of its filtration media, it is unlikely to filter the total number of gallons that, for example, the Zen Stone water filter could handle over time.
Generally speaking, the larger the mass of the filtration media, the more volume of water it can filter before needing to be changed. Naturally, this all depends on the quality of your source water and the concentration of contaminants you are working to filter out.
One of the two top-performing filters in these tests — the Zero Water Filter — is an excellent choice for both household or vehicle use. Given the effectiveness of their filtration media, the retail price on their products is impressively competitive. (We have no affiliate relationship or business relationship of any kind with Zero Water. We are simply reporting what the instrument tests tell us.)
We use the same tests on our food, nutrition and supplement products at HealthRangerStore.com

If you wish to support our continued lab testing work, consider shopping at HealthRangerStore.com where we subject all the products we sell (storable food, nutritional supplements, superfoods, herbs, personal care products and more) to similar testing:

Home Depot looking to take advantage of America’s housing affordability crisis by offering tiny house kit for under $44,000

(Natural News) As Americans continue to grapple with high home prices, Home Depot is trying to cash in on the problem by offering a tiny house kit that costs just under $44,000.
The offering comes at a time when the National Association of Realtors found that 75 percent of homes are currently too expensive for middle-class home buyers to afford. The problem is being pinned on high mortgage rates as well as the prices of the homes themselves. Rents have also been climbing.
The current state of real estate prices has given rise to the tiny home trend, with many Americans choosing very small and much more affordable dwellings and abandoning dreams of having a traditional family home surrounded by a while picket fence. It should come as no surprise that the RV Industry Association has reported a spike in demand for mobile homes during the first quarter of the year.
Many aspiring homeowners are starting to look for rural land on which they can build a small home and avoid crippling debt, and Home Depot is hoping they’ll find its “Getaway Pad” to be the perfect solution.
The one-bedroom, one-bathroom home measures a cozy 540 square feet and features a roof deck. It’s made by the Plus 1 Home Kits company, who are marketing it as a tiny home, guest house, home office, cabin or even a backyard rental.
The lower level of the modest home has a living area that has enough space to accommodate a small kitchen along one wall. It also has room for one bedroom with its own closet and a full-sized bathroom. It also features an entertainment area on the rooftop that can be accessed with an external staircase, sold separately. The open area on the rooftop measures 453 square feet, and there is an area where an optional barbecue, bathroom and sink can also be installed.
The steel home kit is delivered for free to most locations in the U.S. and has pre-assembled steel panels. The company says it can be erected in under a week with help from others. The company also provides engineering and building code certificates and assembly instructions.
Tiny home kit involves a lot of extra expenses

If you’re thinking the $44,000 price tag sounds too good to be true, even for a house that small, it’s important to keep in mind that it only includes the steel stud frames for the home. It must be constructed on your own concrete slab foundation. This also means buyers must supply their own finishing and furnishings, including windows, flooring, cabinetry, drywall, stairs, appliances and electrical and plumbing hookups.
In the Questions & Answers section on Home Depot’s website, the manufacturer repeatedly refuses to provide prospective buyers with a price to finish the steel frame to the standards in the photographs. Instead, they ask people to get in contact with them for further discussions. However, one licensed general contractor who posted a reply there estimated that it could cost between $50,000 and $75,000 to build.
With 61 percent of Americans in a recent survey saying the cost of purchasing a home is simply too high right now and 1 in 5 saying they don’t believe they will ever be able to afford one, it won’t be surprising to see more “solutions” like this being offered to take advantage of those who feel home ownership is out of their reach. However, people must perform some due diligence before embarking on this type of project as it could well end up costing just as much as a modest existing home in some areas, especially for those who don’t already own a lot.

Prepping 101: How to clean up your home after a flood

Friday, June 16, 2023 by: Zoey Sky
Tags: cleaning products, Collapse, disaster, emergency, floods, homesteading, household tips, how-to, off grid, preparedness, prepper, prepping, SHTF, storms, survival, tips
    310VIEWS

(Natural News) Every prepper should know what to do after a flood because flooding is the most frequent natural disaster. A one percent annual flood risk (one in 100 year flood) may seem low, but this means that there is a 25 percent chance that you will experience a flood within a 30-year mortgage.
Prepare ahead of time because it doesn’t take much flood water to cause huge amounts of damage.
It’s also important to take precautions because floodwater usually contains sewage and other disease-causing microorganisms. Aside from the water damage, you will also have to deal with various health issues.
Cleaning up may be the last thing you want to do after a flood, but the longer you wait to clean up, the worse the damage will be. This is why you should know how to clean up properly after a flood. (h/t to PrimalSurvivor.net)
Cleaning up immediately helps prevent further damage

When water gets into your home after a flood, you could be dealing with extensive damage like wet furniture and appliances. You should also know what to do when dealing with mold growth and food contamination.
First, call your insurance agent and report the water damage. Ideally, you should do this within 24 hours.
Your insurance broker should be able to recommend a contractor with experience in repairs and mold removal. Your house and furnishings are less likely to grow mold if they are dried within 48 hours, so it’s best to do this immediately.
Severe water damage also requires the help of specialists. You also need to make some difficult decisions about which items can be salvaged and cleaned and which ones have to be discarded.
Floodwater may carry silt, raw sewage, oil or chemical wastes that can cause different bacterial, viral or parasitic diseases. This highlights the need for proper clean-up methods, especially thorough disinfecting.
Check with local authorities to determine how to get rid of household items contaminated by sewage or that have been wet for a long time.
Some localities may have regulations and specific procedures for bagging, tagging and disposing of contaminated items. Consider all water unsafe until you have confirmed with your local health department.
This includes water used for drinking, cooking and cleaning.
    Flood cleanup supplies

When you’re stocking up before SHTF, you will probably be focused on getting enough food and drinking water for your family. But if your area is prone to floods, you will also want to stock up on various cleaning supplies.
For flood cleanup, you will need the following:

    • Bleach
    • Biocides/mold killer
    • Buckets
    • Dish detergent
    • Fans
    • Hand tools
    • Heavy-duty trash bags
    • Protective gear, such as long-sleeved shirts, long pants, plastic gloves, rubber boots, goggles and respirator masks
    • Shovel
    • Sponges, scrub brushes and rags

    Cleaning up after a flood

Take photos to record the extent of the flood damage
You will need these for insurance purposes.
Wear protective gear before cleaning up
This can help protect you from disease-causing organisms that may be present in the flood water. Face masks can protect you from mold, building materials or airborne contaminants.
Open windows and doors in the room you are cleaning
If possible, leave the doors and windows open when you’re done. If mold starts to grow on surfaces, wash or scrub them with a mixture of one cup bleach to one gallon of water.
Rinse with clean water and allow the surfaces to air dry.
    Remove all soaked items
Store wet items in trash bags or plastic bins outside your house.
Throw away things that can’t be cleaned and dried within 24 to 48 hours
This includes porous items like carpets, pillows, mattresses, stuffed animal toys and textiles.
    Shovel out dirt and silt
If you have a wet vacuum, use it to remove any remaining debris.
    Open wall panels
Panel walls are very porous and can absorb water above the floodwater line. Opening up wall panels and removing insulation can help facilitate fast drying. Discard all drywall or insulation that has been contaminated with floodwater.
    Clean all contaminated hard surfaces
Use water and dish detergent. Clean flooring, wood doors, metal furniture, appliances and countertops. Rinse the surfaces with clean water afterward.
Use bleach to disinfect all salvageable surfaces and items
For most items and surfaces, use one cup of bleach per five gallons of water. Look for unscented household bleach with a sodium hypochlorite concentration between five and nine percent.
Let the surfaces or items air dry after disinfecting. If you have a fan and it is safe to use it (no electrical risks), turn it on to facilitate drying.
    Clean up mold
If mold starts to grow on surfaces, wash or scrub them with a mixture of one cup of bleach to one gallon of water. Rinse with clean water and allow the surfaces to air dry.
Never mix bleach with ammonia cleaning products.
If you’re sure about a damp item, throw it out. Leaving wet items in your home increases the chances of mold growth. (Related: DIY cleaning supplies: 3 Simple recipes for homemade cleaning products.)
    Cleaning kitchen surfaces

You need to clean your kitchen thoroughly after a flood because this is where you prepare and cook food for your family.
Items like dishes, glassware, pantry shelves, refrigerators, stoves and areas like kitchen counters that have come in contact with water must be thoroughly washed with warm water and soap, rinsed and disinfected.
To disinfect your kitchen, use a solution of 3/4 cup of liquid chlorine bleach per gallon of water. Keep the surfaces wet for two minutes, then rinse them with clean water.
Wood and plastic items, like cutting boards, utensils and food storage containers, that have been in contact with contaminated water must be discarded because they may harbor bacteria, which makes them harder to clean and disinfect.
    Cleaning instructions for specific items

Only use clean water when disinfecting. If a boil water advisory is in place, boil the water before mixing it with bleach.
    Books and papers
Freeze books and documents in a sealed zip-lock bag until you can properly dry them. Defrost and place a sheet of blotting paper between pages to help them dry.
    Children’s toys
Throw away all soft toys and molded toys with injection holes that came into contact with flood water.
Clean non-porous toys with hot water and detergent. Once dry, disinfect with a bleach solution (one cup of bleach to five gallons of water).
    Clothing and textiles
Shake out mud and hose down items before putting them in the washing machine. Add one cup of bleach to the wash cycle.
If the clothes cannot be washed with bleach, use a pine oil cleaner instead.
    Feather and foam rubber pillows
Wash pillows in the laundry machine with one cup of bleach added to the wash cycle. Wash up to two pillows at a time to avoid overcrowding the washing machine.
Use an extra rinse cycle, then dry in the dryer or hang to air dry.
    Food items
Throw away fresh foods and pantry-type foods that touched dirty flood water. This includes unopened foods in glass containers, like salad dressing and canned foods.
Food in glass containers may look safe, but there is currently no lid that will keep out water if the container has come in contact with flood waters. Canned goods containers may develop rust after being exposed to water.
Paper labels on glass and can containers can harbor bacteria and other contaminants in floodwaters.
Dispose of the following items in your pantry or fridge:

    • Canned goods
    • Containers with cork-lined or waxed cardboard tops, pop-tops, peel-off tops or paraffin seals
    • Flexible containers, including cloth, paper, foil and cellophane
    • Food in cardboard boxes
    • Staples stored in canisters
    • Unopened containers

    Non-porous food surfaces
Wash non-porous food surfaces such as plates, utensils and counters with hot water and soap.
Rinse and sanitize them with a mixture of one tablespoon of bleach to one gallon of clean water. Set aside small items on a clean surface to air dry.
    Photographs
Stack wet photographs between clean sheets of wax paper and put them in a zip-lock bag. Freeze the bag to slow damage.
Defrost and air-dry the photos when you’re ready to clean up.
    Porous food surfaces
Throw away items like baby bottles and nipples, pottery, wooden cutting boards and soft plastics which have touched floodwater.
When dealing with the aftermath of a flood, clean and disinfect salvageable items to reduce further damage to your property.

(Natural News) There’s little question that globalist actors are hell bent on mass extermination of the human race. What’s both horrifying and fascinating is that while most human beings are rather easy for globalists to (slowly) kill, a minority of individuals can make themselves very difficult to exterminate by taking specific actions that achieve resiliency.
Resiliency means “anti-fragile,” and in the context of survival, being resilient means being able to bounce back from losses or mistakes because you have redundancies and alternative plans at the ready. Redundancy is a key concept in resiliency planning, and in the twelve steps outlined below, you’ll notice a lot of them focus on resiliency.
If you follow the steps outlined below, you will be hard to kill. You’ll be difficult to starve out, difficult to bankrupt, difficult to trap and difficult to silence. What you’re about to read are the skills of survivors who plan to make it through the ongoing culling of the human race — a nefarious plan which will not fully succeed, meaning there will be survivors who will have an amazing opportunity to determine the future of our world.
Learn and apply these 12 principles (and skills) to survive the global extermination agenda that has been unleashed against humanity.
Twelve things to apply that will make you a resilient survivor

    1) Get some of your assets out of the fiat currency debt-based monetary slave system, because that system will crater (and it’s rigged anyway). Become proficient in using gold, silver and crypto as means of exchange, because those assets are more “honest” in the sense that no government can artificially inflate their supply. (No government can print gold, silver or Bitcoin, in other words.)
    2) Relocate far from the “death zone” cities, many of which will be non-survivable. Move to a local area that reflects the culture and rule of law you wish to live within. Things are about to get very local, so you should pick a local living area that reflects philosophies of resiliency, self-reliance, honest, compassion and the right to self-defense.
    3) Keep your passport up to date in case you need to seek a new destination around the globe. Have a crypto wallet where you have memorized the seed phrase so that you essentially have a “brain wallet” that you can access from anywhere. Use privacy coins that are untraceable to protect your privacy and avoid crypto confiscation attempts. Use crypto swap aggregation sites like SwapSpace.co to trade BTC into privacy coins. Watch for an upcoming announcement about my new Brighteon show focusing on decentralization solutions for humanity.
    4) Become proficient in secure, private messaging technology. Deploy the Session app. Learn and deploy privacy crypto (Monero, FIRO, etc.). Learn about Apricorn thumb drives with keypad encryption. Also make sure you acquire sat phones (a sponsor) and radio comms as alternative means of communication that don’t rely on cell towers and can’t easily triangulate your physical location.
    5) Practice dressing down. Discard signs of visible wealth or abundance. Don’t live a flashy lifestyle. Toss flashy jewelry. Move out of your McMansion. Don’t drive a luxury vehicle. Don’t flash cash or gold. Embrace the “grey man” philosophy. Blend in with locals.
    6) Store food and learn to grow food so you can be ready for the coming food rationing. Learn how to grow food in a way that isn’t immediately obvious to everyone (guerilla gardening). Stock up on necessary supplements like vitamin D and zinc. Acquire non-GMO garden seeds. Learn food preservation techniques such as canning or drying.
    7) Learn a means of self-defense and become proficient in it. The easiest tool to master is a firearm, and the easiest firearm to learn is a rifle. Pistols are much more difficult to deploy and require far more training than using a rifle. (Sight picture, eye dominance, recoil control, etc.) If you don’t know what to buy, get an AR-15 and a Glock 19. Consider acquiring ballistic armor (see HopliteArmor.com) if you anticipate violence targeting your household or community.
Be prepared to have your location overrun and have a backup supply of critical items at another location. (Bugout plan.) Be ready for the Marxist / communist “Activation day” scenario. Have enough supplies at your bugout location so that you have a chance at retaking your home, farm or community buildings if they are initially overrun. Don’t make the mistake of thinking you will never have to retreat from your house, ranch or city. There will be many refugees across America who are fleeing collapsed cities and regional kinetic conflict. This is why having a crypto “brain wallet” is critical because it cannot be detected nor confiscated from you.
    9) Secure a reliable water supply at both your primary and secondary location. Water scarcity is an easy means of control to subjugate the population. A reliable water supply requires water treatment solutions such as a gravity filter or a high-quality pump filter / camping filter. Have a plan to acquire and filter water without using electricity. Consider surface water, well water and rain water. Make sure you prepare water storage at both your primary and secondary locations.
    10) Stock up on off grid emergency medical supplies and first aid items. Many will be nearly impossible to acquire after the collapse kicks in. Specifically look at prescriptions (including antibiotics), ivermectin and antiseptic supplies such as povidone iodine. Related: Natural News is launching a new telehealth partnership that gives you access to licensed doctors who can write needed prescriptions where medically necessary.
    11) Maintain your physical fitness with cardio and strength training, to be ready for the harsh physical realities of surviving a collapse (and working a garden). Bone density is essential for resilience and survival. Stamina will be required for the heavy physical demands of “collapse living.” Anything you can do right now to increase strength, endurance and bone density will pay off in the years ahead.
    12) Practicing living without electricity. Although a total power grid failure may never occur, we do expect regional, intermittent outages that could instantly plunge many areas of the country into darkness. Without electricity, water pumps stop working. Gas stations shut down. Retail establishments cannot function. Refrigerators and freezers halt, and air conditioning grinds to a halt. There are ways to live without electricity, but none of them are convenient or easy. Plan to deploy solar charging devices to provide trickle charges for small electronic devices such as cell phones and flashlights, but also plan for local cell towers to stop functioning for extended periods.
