A high quality compendium of Ronald Reagan speeches and his mutual agreement with Ron Paul.

Ron Paul was the only member of Congress who supported Reagan's run for the presidency. He campaigned for him and Reagan campaigned for Ron Paul in Congressional contests.

ABC News Side Note – Ron Paul Wins 32 of Minnesota’s 40 Delegates

Posted by Alexander Higgins - May 20, 2012 at 1:02 am - Permalink - Source via Alexander Higgins Blog

Ron Paul has won 32 of Minnesota’s 40 Delegates at the state GOP convention but because he is not an establishment sock puppet it is just a side note.

    Via ABC News:
ABC News Side Note - Ron Paul Wins Minnesota

Meanwhile, we can be rest assured that the corporate media will continue to lie to the public to display their fake delegate counts and rub it in our face while they do so to manufacture consent for Romney.

Instead, they will continue to portray Ron Paul as have quitting the campaign with having no chance of winning.

The truth is Ron Paul has already won enough states to secure his slot at the Republican National Convention where he can still win the Republican nomination .

Given his limited campaign funds – due to the fact he will not accept money from the corporations, special interest groups and lobbyists that have destroyed our nation and eroded our Constitution - there is no need for him to go into debt and spending money he doesn’t have in additional states.

This is just more evidence that he is a man of morals and lives by the words he speaks unlike other politicians who speak off fiscal responsibility but don’t exercise the same in their own campaigns.

Voting for Ron Paul is not Enough to Take Back our Republic.

Looking back at the first two years of Clinton in office, His agenda of Hillery-care and other economic killing legislation gave fuel for the Republican Party to take back the House and Senate after 40 years being out of Power. Newt Gingrich and the Candidates for House stood out in front of the Capital and agreed to the Contract with America with a few simple initiatives they would debate and vote on. It motivated the base and they came out and voted.

The Republicans won in 1994 as a result of selling the "Contract with America". During the Clinton Year with a Republican led House and Senate. Clinton did not get much of his agenda through even though they did pass the repeal of The Glass Steagle Act, which was bad for America. That is because many Congressional Representatives did hold the line that was not part of the political establishment. The years of 2001 to 2006. Both the White House and the Congress were under Republican control, which was a disaster because spending increased, and bringing in these wars. From 2006 to 2010. The Democrats took back the Congress; they have been ramming laws down the Americans throats the people rejected. During 2008 to 2010, the Democrats controlled the Congress and the White House. They did a lot of damage to this country passing the most draconian and tyrannical laws.

From 2008 to 2010, the Tea Party movement gained momentum, Ron Paul the godfather of the movement has been co-opted by the neo-cons. in the mid term election of 2010, the Tea Party movement returned the House back to the Republican party. Rep. John Boehner became the Speaker of the House. He is a disgrace. Many people were hoping the new GOP led house would be a check on power in the White House. This congress is a disappointment. They abrogated their power under the Constitution. They gave that authority to the White House by consent or by silence. Either way, they have failed to do their job. They have ignored the will of the people and put this nation in serious danger because they allowed the President to act like a dictator. Freedom is in danger of being lost completely because Congress failed the people.

Now we are in the election of 2012, the people running on the Tea Party phenomena have proved to be duds. They care more about Israel's wants than what the American people demand. They care what the Military industrial complex wants. People are sick of wars. They are tired of being blown off as if we do not matter anymore. Congress has become a potted plant, useless like tits on a bull. The allowed raised the debt ceiling putting us
in debt; they gave the President the power to arrest Americans without a trial to be held indefinitely. They become a joke and just Obama's rubber stamp.

We suffer from a Leadership Crises because our Congress refuses or is not willing to uphold their oath of office to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic unless it is AIPAC. A domestic foe as well as a foreign enemy in plain sight.

What is a possible solution? Why not leaders and Ron Paul candidates rip a page out of the Republican Revolution’s Contract with America? We should have all Ron Paul Candidates who are running for the House and Senate sign the Contract to Restore Liberty, Sound Money and Govern by the Constitution with 13 simple points people can understand:

    1. Abolish the
Federal Reserve Bank. Return the Dollar to the Gold and Silver Standard

    2. Protect the internet and Free speech.

    3. Abolish the IRS and repeal the 16th Amendment.

    4. Bring our troops home from 900 bases in 130 countries. Place troops on the Border. Cease and desist combat operations in sovereign nations that have not attacked us.

    5. Pull out of the United Nations and NATO.

    6. Repeal Obamacare

    7. Abolish the TSA, FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security. Abolish the secret No Fly, no gun buy list.

    8. Cut 1 trillion Dollars from spending the first year and not raising the debt ceiling. Have a Balanced budget in three years.

    9. Abolish the EPA, the Dept. of Commerce, Dept. of Energy, Dept of Interior, Dept of Energy, The Food and Drug Administration, Dept of Education and the Dept of Agriculture.

    10. Repeal the Patriot Act, the NDAA. Declare the War on Terror over. Close Gitmo and release all the detainees.

    11. No compromise on the Second Amendment. Start Repealing Gun Control laws.

    12. Declare the War on Drugs over. Decriminalize and Legalize Marijuana and the growing of industrial Hemp.

    13. No more foreign aid to any nation including Israel. Congress and the President require AIPAC to register as a foreign agent.

These are my talking points. People who have Ron Paul's vision believe in restoring the Constitution. It does not matter if they are Independents, Members of the Constitution Party, Libertarians, Democrats and Republicans. They need to have a strategy with simple talking points that resonate with Americans. They will work with the President to restore liberty and the Constitution. A multiparty Strategy. No bipartisanship where the globalist agree in both parties. A coming to together in agreement to the Constitution.

This is an important thing we have to think about. If Ron Paul does win and take the oval office. He is going to need allies in Congress. We need to select a candidate for Speaker of the House to run against John Boehner. Someone who is not part of the establishment who will choose responsible people to chair committees and subcommittees.

Even if Ron Paul does not win, we need people in congress who will be a counter force to Obama or a Romney in the White House who will do their jobs. A strategy as the Contract with America, which was done in 1994, might be the blue print or road map needed to start taking back our liberties and our republic. If we keep it simple, we can win to keep the Ron Paul Revolution alive long after the congressmen retires. The march towards liberty must go on with Ron Paul or not.

Ron Paul supporters claim 12 of 13 national at-large delegates

    By Cyndy Brucato | 05/19/12

Ron Paul, who addressed the Minnesota GOP convention Friday night, won a decisive majority of the at-large delegates for the national Republican convention.

ST. CLOUD — The Ron Paul supporters in the Minnesota Republican Party reached their high-water mark Saturday, the second day of the state convention here.

Candidates pledged to support Paul for president at the National Republican Convention in Tampa claimed 12 of the 13 at-large seats. Paul delegates had already claimed 20 of the 24 national slots that were determined in elections at the congressional level.

With three national slots for party officers, the Minnesota delegation goes to Tampa with 32 of 40 delegates supporting Paul.

    MinnPost/Brian HallidayMarianne Stebbins
Marianne Stebbins — head of the Paul campaign in Minnesota, who orchestrated Paul dominance at the state convention — celebrated the victory with a nod to cooperation.

“We are happy that the liberty candidates have integrated with the Republican Party,” she said. But she stopped short of a full backing of Mitt Romney when asked about what the Paul delegates will do after Romney formally wins the national Republican endorsement.

“Everybody makes their own decision on that,” she said.

Paul’s support was so strong that Congresswoman Michele Bachmann appeared to have gained the one national delegate spot supporting Romney only after a Paul delegate withdrew “out of respect.”

The top vote-getter on the national delegate slate was Kurt Bills, the newly endorsed candidate for U.S Senate who supports Paul and who spent the morning with him in St. Cloud raising money for the Republican Party.

The candidates gave one-minute presentations that often invoked liberty, freedom and apprehension. “Will today’s children be stifled by monstrous federal government?” asked Adam Pauhert, a Paul supporter who was running for an alternate slot.

It’s worth noting that selecting delegates to the national convention can be an emotional, convoluted and mischievous process.

MinnPost photo by Brian HallidayThe 'Convention Chaos Slate' flier circulated by activist John Gilmore

To throw a little gasoline onto the flaming passion of Ron Paul delegates, Republican activist John Gilmore circulated a leprechaun-green flier warning delegates of the “convention chaos slate.” Mostly names of candidates who support Ron Paul, “they will embarrass Minnesota,” Gilmore said. The candidates and GOP Chair Pat Shortridge denounced the flier.

    MinnPost/Brian HallidayJeff Johnson

The Paul-Romney rivalries, though spirited, never rose above the level of a fierce family fight. Stebbins, who was credited by national committeeman Jeff Johnson for “a ridiculous ability to organize,” promised hard work on behalf of state candidates. “What we are going to do is a major effort to elect Kurt Bills and to help candidates at the legislative and local levels,” she said.

Johnson, at the convention podium, addressed the factions directly.

“I want to say something to the Ron Paul lovers in the room and the Ron Paul haters.

To the ones that are here because of Ron Paul — the chatter is they don’t care about the Republican Party,” he said. “If that makes you mad, make sure it doesn’t happen. Don’t disappear.” To the Romney supporters, he added: “My advice to you is get over it. There’s no such thing as standing still.”

Ron Paul Decisively Wins Minnesota and Carries Delegates in Multiple Other States

Gains in Michigan, Minnesota, Vermont and Virginia affirm delegate-attainment strategy

LAKE JACKSON, Texas – Supporters of 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul have propelled him to an historic win in Minnesota this weekend, with delegate gains having occurred in multiple other states as well. The recent achievements affirm Paul’s delegate-attainment strategy, and support the notion that he and his platform will be featured prominently at the Republican National Convention in Tampa this August.

In Minnesota, Paul organizers won a decisive 12 of 13 delegates to the RNC at the Rivers Edge Convention Center in St. Cloud, wrapping up the North Star State’s two-tier nominating contest. Earlier this spring, Paul supporters won 20 of 24 delegates at district conventions. In all, the Paul camp has swept the state of Minnesota winning 32 of the state’s 40 national delegates.

In addition to Paul’s consequential victory in Minnesota, Paul organizers won delegates in Mitt Romney’s home state of Michigan. There, Paul supporters estimate that they have won eight voting slots plus one non-voting delegate and 11 alternates. Of the 14 Congressional District voting contests held this weekend, Paul organizers won RNC delegates in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 9th Districts, denying Detroit-born Romney a clean sweep of his home state. The Michigan victory occurred despite a heavy Romney campaign presence promoting a win for the establishment pick and presumptive nominee.
At the Vermont Republican State Convention this weekend, Ron Paul supporters won two of 14 national delegates, with two more considered potential allies, and they won 10 of 14 alternates. In all, Vermont has 17 delegates including super delegates.

Finally in Virginia, 11 district conventions have been taking place in recent weeks and have ended this weekend. In those contests Ron Paul supporters won 17 of 33 national delegates selected, with the remainder of the state’s 49 delegates including super delegates to be selected at the June 16th state convention. Also in Virginia, Paul supporters elected a Republican Congressional District Chair in the Third District, over a dozen liberty-oriented Republican State Central Committee Members five of whom are Ron Paul supporters, dozens of Republican county and city committee chairs, and hundreds of county and city committee members.

“Victories in Minnesota and other states demonstrate that Ron Paul supporters possess the adaptability, organizational muscle, and unmatched enthusiasm required to continue winning delegates in upcoming contests,” said Ron Paul 2012 National Campaign Manager John Tate.

“We’re also pleased to see Ron Paul supporters engaged in party-building to broaden the activist and voting base that will advance Republican majorities for many years to come,” added Mr. Tate.

    Ron Paul Sweeps Minnesota

    Reports TwinCities.com:
The Ron Paul revolution has completed its sweep over the Minnesota Republican Party convention here.
Paul backers won 12 of 13 Republican National Convention delegate slots filled in balloting Saturday, May 19, at Rivers Edge Civic Center.
They might have taken all 13 seats if a Paul state delegate had not graciously conceded the final slot to Rep. Michele Bachmann.
The results mean 32 of Minnesota’s 40 national delegates to the Republican convention in Tampa in August will be committed to Paul. Supporters of the Texas congressman and presidential candidate won 20 of the 24 national delegate slots filled at Republican congressional district conventions earlier this spring.
The vote was a well-organized coup by the Paul newcomers over longtime party activists.
“It shows that the Ron Paul people are extremely organized and very serious about winning those spots, and the non-Ron Paul folks were not as well organized,” said Republican National Committeeman Jeff Johnson.
Marianne Stebbins, Paul’s state campaign chairwoman, said their victory “sends a message that we’re not just giving lip service to liberty and smaller government — we’re serious about it…”
Paul has all but conceded the GOP nomination to Romney, but his supporters reportedly hope to influence the party platform…
His victory in Minnesota also could have a practical impact. He needs the support of five state delegations in order to have his name placed in nomination at the national convention, which would allow him to give a prime-time speech.
Stebbins said if national party leaders are smart, they will welcome Paul supporters with open arms…
“We have had bitter battles in the past at endorsing conventions, where people were at each other’s throats, but we came together in the end and stood by the candidates,” she said. “I think we’re already unifying.”
The Paul crowd pulled off a bloodless coup. Unlike other states where brawls broke out between Paul fans and Romney supporters, the Minnesota convention was a relatively civil affair. There were no fistfights or shouting matches on the convention floor…
As tension mounted between the Paul newcomers and the longtime activists they displaced, Johnson took the microphone to address that issue head on. He told the delegates to acknowledge their disagreements.
To the “Ron Paul lovers,” he said that many in the old guard think “you don’t care about the Republican Party.”
“If that makes you mad, make sure it doesn’t happen,” Johnson said. He called on Paul’s supporters to stay active and help elect all GOP candidates.
To the “Ron Paul haters,” he said, “get over it. If we don’t grow, we die as a party…”
