4 GOP Governor Candidates Make Illegal Immigration A Top Priority

ALI-PAC is raising awareness about four GOP candidates for Governor on the ballot in 2022 who are making the Biden Harris illegal immigration invasion a top issue in their campaigns.

Americans for Legal Immigration PAC is a federal Super-PAC that currently endorses more than 50 federal campaigns for office. ALI-PAC doesn't endorse state-level campaigns, but can share information about state-level candidates and immigration issue ballot initiatives like Arizona's Proposition 308 and Massachusetts Question 4.

The four GOP gubernatorial candidates focusing on illegal immigration issues are Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott, Florida's Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, Arizona's Republican candidate for Governor Kari Lake, and Oregon's Republican candidate for Governor Christine Drazan.


Christine Drazan (R-OR)

Christine Drazan is in a very close race to become Governor of Oregon, even though the state is usually considered a Democrat stronghold. She is running against Democrat Tina Kotek. A website called IsideWith.com has immigration survey questions that are very similar to candidate questions on ALIPAC's federal candidate survey. (View SURVEY HERE)

IsideWith.com indicates those surveyed who plan to vote for Drazan oppose citizenship for children of illegals, oppose in-state tuition and Amnesty for illegals, oppose federal funding for sanctuary cities and healthcare subsidies for illegals, while her base supports the detention and deportation of illegals caught committing crimes by local police and the building of walls on our border. Christine Drazan supporters also believe immigrants should be required to learn English which is part of our ALIPAC platform.


Kari Lake (R-AZ)

Kari Lake is the Republican candidate for Governor in Arizona who is running against Democrat Katie Hobbs, who refuses to debate Lake. Lake has promised to fly to the border in the first hour of her first day in office if elected, declare this disaster an invasion, and secure the border against illegals and fentanyl. (View Video)

Kari Lake supporters also have answers to immigration issue questions at Isidewith.com (View), where Lake's base indicates she should oppose in-state tuition, healthcare subsidies, and Amnesty for illegals, while supporting local police enforcing immigration laws, stating, "all illegal immigrants should be turned over to federal authorities and deported."


Ron DeSantis (R-FL)

Florida's incumbent Republican Governor Ron DeSantis recently grabbed national headlines by transporting Venezuelan illegal aliens to Martha's Vineyard, where they were quickly deported to a nearby military base by National Guard troops.

According to OnTheIssues.org (View), Ron DeSantis opposes Amnesty for illegals, including citizenship for DACA illegals, and he opposes sanctuary city and catch-and-release policies that favor illegal aliens. Ron DeSantis supports the E-Verify program and banning illegals from military service. Legendary Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio is supporting him.


Greg Abbott (R-TX)

Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott has generated national headlines for transporting illegal aliens from border areas to Washington, DC, and New York City.
