Thread: National Flyer Campaign Targets Employers that Hire illegals

The media is improving but they need to step it up a notch. I suppose the closer to elections we get; the more they will consider it newsworthy because they will get more attention from the general public.

Suggestion, unless it was already suggested

Thinking about printing one of the MS-13 illegal alien gang articles on the back side of the flyer. Give the reader somethng else to think about before he round-files the flyer.

Or maybe you know of something even more compelling that belongs on the back side.

Media is really no ones best friend, just your friend when conveient for them and they can make a buck off you. Not sure there is a lot for them to make off a organization wanting to stop illegal immigration, but I would suspect our actions have and will spark some negativity from pro-illegal groups and illegals alike enough to warrant coverage of the issue.

I firmly believe what we're doing witht he fliers is a great start.. But I believe billboards and TV ads will help us out as well.. I'm sure TV ads are prolly expensive for a national spot.. But perhaps we could all pitch in and fund one.. OR fund a national newspaper ad whcih would be far cheaper.

In my home city, we've got a marketing company that creates signs for the casinos and it's really simplistic and straight forward.. What they have done is just take a black background and in bold white letters, state some slogan of the casino or whatever they might want to advertise.. such as "Want to Win?" and has a big symbol representing the casino's logo..

In our case, I would do something like "Got Illegals in Town? Call 1-800-INS-USUS sponsored by ALI-PAC

I really like those ideas. Especially the billboard one. I read somewhere how effective billboards can be. I'll post the link to the article if I can find it again.

Billboards are reasonably affordable and tens of thousands of people driving down the expressway will see them.

I don't know much about the your other two ideas. I don't know how expensive it would be for them, but they sure would be very effective in spreading the message.

You are right. Law and Order did do that. And they have run several episodes since where illegals are let go because they helped solve a crime or put in other references to their warped views about illegal immigrants. I've about had it with them!

I want everyone to know that I put out 50 flyuers myself this weekend.

I do not ask others to do things I wont do myself.

A coalition of 45 organizations has announced a nationwide plan to distribute fliers aimed at preventing illegal entry into the U.S.
The campaign promoted by Americans for Legal Immigration political action committee is an "unprecedented cooperative effort to stop illegal aliens and companies that employ illegal labor," the group said.
The fliers, available online at www.alipac.us, contain English and Spanish instructions telling employers how to screen their employees using the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements program. The handbills also tell citizens how to report to government authorities employers who hire illegal aliens.
"We are very pleased with the response to the National Flier Campaign," said William Gheen, president of the PAC. "Forty-five organizations working together is an historic milestone for the immigration enforcement movement."
The flier campaign is endorsed by groups such as 9/11 Families for a Secure America, American Border Patrol and California Coalition for Immigration Reform.
