Thread: Possible Amnesty vote today! Target those facing reelection

Friends of ALIPAC,

Fox News's new Latino division is broadcasting that Congress will vote on the Dream Act Amnesty today!

We must scramble our jets quickly.

Today we want all of you to put in some quality time on the phones targeting the 31 members of the US Senate who face reelection in 2012 along with each and every member of the US House. In the past, when we have drawn the amnesty battle into the election cycle, it has helped to defeat the legislation!

Thus, ALIPAC's 2012 candidate and campaign efforts begin today!

We need you to make sure that information reaches the ears of US lawmakers in DC. Before the vote takes place, we need them to hear "Dream Act Amnesty opposition" is mobilizing in the 2012 elections NOW!

Please take the following steps.....


1. Pick up your phones and contact the 31 US Senators who are up for reelection in 2012. Please call and speak with their DC office and their main district offices. Follow up your call with an email or fax. Ask if there is any contact info for the Senator's 2012 campaign yet and if you can get a number post it for us to direct calls to. Craft your own distinct message using the keywords "oppose, Dream Act AMNESTY, illegal aliens, illegal immigration, campaigns, elections, defeat, incumbents."

Sample message

"I'm calling to ask if Senator _______ supports or opposes the Dream Act Amnesty? I am working with other Americans to remove any incumbent Senator from office in the 2012 elections who supports Dream Act Amnesty. Americans overwhelmingly oppose Dream Act Amnesty and so should Senator _____. Do you have any contact information for Senator _____'s 2012 campaign? "

2. Then call your Representative in the US Congress with the same message and methods. If you have time, proceed to contact the remaining members of Congress in your state. Call and write as many as you can as all members of Congress face reelection in 2012, unless they retire.

3. Please read, understand, utilize, and distribute ALIPAC's national press release going out today. Post copies of this online, send it to your local media and send copies to your favorite talk radio shows and national media outlets. The more copies of this press release you send to the media along with us, the more coverage we will receive and the greater impact we will have.

I called Hagan`s office today.I was told that she is opposed to both...I was not convinced.
I was also told that Hagan wasn`t up for reelection until 2014
