SATURDAY, MAY 6, 2006

LOCATION AND TIME: Sundance Square, downtown Fort Worth. We will begin assembling at 3rd and Houston in the parking lot directly across from Razzoo’s and Billy Miners. Organizers will arrive at 10am and all protesters are expected to be present by 11:30am.
OBJECTIVE: It’s time for Congress to hear from the voices that count! We must show them that OUR votes will unseat those who sell us out for big business and that we intend to take our country back from these criminals.
SPECIAL GUESTS AND SPEAKERS: To be announced soon. We plan to have speakers from the Texas Minutemen, Mothers Against Illegal Aliens, LAIR, and candidates for Congress who support our cause.

PARKING: The following places are FREE on weekends: 4th & Main Street (Chisholm Trail), 4th & Houston (Gateway Lot), 4th & Throckmorton (Sundance Square Garage 3), Calhoun & 3rd (Sundance Square Garage 2), Calhoun & 3rd (Sundance Square Lot), Calhoun & 2nd (Sundance Square 1), 3rd & Main Street (1/2 Flying Saucer Lot)

Note on Parking. You can ride the bus from remote locations. Get a day pass and pay for a round trip. You can park at remote locations like Ridgemar Mall, The TRE STation in Richland Hills... Also, Downtown is considered the "free zone" you can catch the bus on one end of downtown and ride it to the other. Also, you can ride the T (train in from North Richland Hills and hop a city bus and ride the "free zone" to 3rd St.

WEAR AND BRING: Think of this as “Independence Day in May.” Wear and bring everything you have that is RED, WHITE, and BLUE including every American flag you have! Also, bring posters and signs that reflect our cause. “SECURE OUR BORDERS” is a must for signs.

NEEDED 1) Volunteers to help me contact radio stations and other media :in DFW from now until protest day. 2) Computer junkies who can spread the word through emails, message boards, forums, websites, etc. 3) Giant American flags. If anyone can secure one or find a place that will rent it for the day, please contact me. 4) Volunteers who will email me when you see or hear our protest being discussed so I will know who we are getting to and who we are still missing. 5) Mobile P.A. equipment, megaphones, etc. 6) Others with ideas, contributions, etc. I need your help!!! P.S. We got minimal radio time on this so the success of our effort will depend heavily on word of mouth. It's great if u can attend, but u must contact anyone you know who might be interested, and tell them to tell everyone they can think of as well. Don't think Feinstein and Boxer won't be watching to see how Bush's amnesty speech is received! We can influence their vote!

If this Presidential visit is like others around the country, they aren't going to let anyone who isn't outright INVITED and can prove it within distance where they can even catch a glimpse of him.

In El Paso, when he came to "look at" the border, all the roads were blocked off for hours until he got done monkeying around.

If I was anywhere near California I'd be there with you, buddy! Georgia is a bit of a haul from there. I don't know how many folks here are in California, but I'm sure there are a few, and I'm sure those few will make an effort to be there. It is frustrating though, when you can't make people turn adjectives into verbs.

Most folks just aren't wired for protesting. Those folks are better at calling, faxing and e-mailing Congressmen than marching in the streets.

Try not to be so harsh, we're all on the SAME TEAM.

Joe, have you ever tried to protest around Bush? If not you are in for a rude awakening. I am not am armchair patriot; you can rest assured of that.

I am assuming that you are angry and you are justified in that, but don’t direct your anger at us, the majority of folks here are on your side.

I wish you well on your protest and hope that you are successful.
