I caught the end of this interview, but believe I just heard a FAIR rep on KABC talk radio who said that John Sweeney, prez of the AFL/CIO, met with Senators and told them he is against S. 1348. Someone confirm if you have heard this.

If so, I think this can't hurt..

What amazes me is how much the senate is with involved with employment issues, and jobs for their illegal guest workers, as opposed to governing in behalf of - We The American People.

FAIR is urging all members and activists to call their Senators' offices THIS VERY MOMENT and ask Senators to refuse to take up any more secret bargains. Ask that Senators be given more time to debate meaningful amendments that would improve the bill, and if no extra time is given, to vote NO on cloture!

You bet. Countered Kennedy's bleeding heart with examples of American citizens who are hanging on, livin and working in very tough conditions and working for low wages (exploited). And all he's heard on the Senate floor is the compassion needed for illegal aliens. He wants to know where is the compassion for the American worker. He said they aren't a part of the discussions he's seen nor are a part of the promise of the Grand Compromise.

Dorgan is throwing his Sunset Amendment that barely passed last night into the face of the "Grand Bargainers". He said he's seen them going around all day "gnashing their teeth" over his "poison pill".

He's also stumping for Webb's amendment to be offered for a vote later this evening.
