03-20-2006, 06:06 PM #2Now that's a new one."out of status"

I just say this Randall. I find it offensive that people choose to disregard the laws of my country which happen to exist for the purpose of protecting my children and my fellow Americans.
I say, "Warn em and deport em". If that offends anyone, then so be it.
When there are possibly as many as 20 million people in our country who have chosen to take our Federal Immigration Laws lightly, I say expect serious consequences sooner or later. Although it's coming rather late, it may be soon.

RandallE, I do understand your situation concerning your wife, but laws are laws. People who are here illegally had the choice to either enter our country legally, or break our laws by entering illegally. They made that choice, not us! As for the girl whose parents brought her here illegally at a young age, THEY(the parents) broke our laws. It was not her fault by no means but the fact remains, her parents broke our laws! In my opinion, our existing laws should have been enforced all along, not ignored, like they have been for many years and we would not be in this situation in the first place. No one has the right to enter this country illegally, no one. I am a law abiding American citizen and if I were to break a law in this country, I'd deserve just punishment. No, I don't want amnesty granted to people who CHOSE to break U.S. laws and I think most Americans will agree with me. Sorry about your situation, but illegal means illegal, and our government should not be rewarding law breakers. And something else that upsets LEGAL immigrants(this is from an email I recieved today):
Perhaps the most controversial of issues is the fact
that the new legislation would allow undocumented
immigrants to receive permanent residence ahead of
foreigners who have applied for visas and waited in
their home countries for the paperwork to be processed.
This is just not right, not fair to the people who chose NOT to break our laws!"My ancestors gave their life for America, the least I can do is fight to preserve the rights they died for"

randall - you are , this very beautiful first day of spring ,declaring war on this board- holding us hostage to your personal situation; which frankly, most of us haven't followed step-by-step.
the rage you feel is perhaps equal to the rage american citizens feel at seeing their country over-run by illegal aliens.
we have been bombarded with sob stories about illegal aliens- and we are very burned out - and burned up that the media has ignored the hardships of american citizens in this invasion.
since- I dont even know why your wife is illegal- rather then a green card with an american husband- why would I even comment?
It is not the end of the world to live in the country of one's orgin- Okay?

"treated like an attempted murderer" That's quite an exageration Randall. Are you sure you don't work for the pro-illegal alien Open Borders Lobby? They like to really make exagerated statements like that.

While I do understand your situation Randall, my point in
this matter is that all people who entered the USA illegally should be
deported.
When in 1986 President Regan granted amnesty to millions of illegals,
what happened? Millions more invaded our country."We have room for but one flag, the American flag" - Theodore Roosevelt

We've tried being "patient and nice" Randall, and it got US 20 million illegal aliens.
Randall, you almost sound as though you are looking for an apology of some sort from the American people. I believe it is those who are in our country illegally who owe the American people an apology. They also owe an apology to those who are waiting to come to our country LEGALLY.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

followed up by a bill that would separate me from my wife forever
What is stopping you from moving to your wifes country?
Im I to belive America is the only place on the planet someone can live?
What is the problem with going to your wifes Country? We call things racism just to get attention. We reduce complicated problems to racism, not because it is racism, but because it works

exactly - why not go to your wife's country?
if we follow your logic -that if the story is good enough , then the laws need not be obeyed- we would have to let everyone out of prison and dis-band the legal system entirely.
