Thread: "ACTION NOW" "SAVE ACT" Rep. Bilbray on

Rep. Representative Billbray was on FOX a few minutes ago, he is begging for the people to contact Representatives and tell them to sign the discharge petition for the "SAVE ACT" to get it to the floor.

He also said some of the co-sponsors have not signed the petition, by co-sponsoring the bill but not signing the petition (they are hopeing it does not get to the floor for a vote) therefore they can fool their constituents into believeing they supported it when they go out to campaign.

We need to get on these crooks!!!

(April 1) Supporters of the enforcement-only SAVE Act (Secure America with Verification Enforcement; H.R. 408 have already gained more than two-thirds of the signers needed to force a vote in the U.S. House. If the petition collects 218 House signatures, a simple majority, the bill can bypass the committee process and be placed on the House floor for a vote, regardless of any objections by Democratic leaders.

It was reported last week that Democrats are still working on alternative plans for the immigration debate. Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) has been pushing a plan to grant legal work permits for millions of illegal aliens currently holding jobs and huge increases in H-2B and H-1B visas for all types of foreign workers. However, several Democrats -- including SAVE Act sponsor Rep. Heath Shuler (D-N.C.) -- were among the first to sign the discharge petition to go around Speaker Pelosi.

You can check to see if your Representative signed the discharge petition if not please give him a call and any 0thers you have time to call.....WE NEED THIS BILL!!!

I hope to have a new list of the weasels (those that have signed the bill, but not the discharge petition by later in the day - time allowing...). Those emails and calls will be especially fun

Called my Representative Adam Schiff and left a message asking why he has not signed the discharge petition!? Let's see if he decides to take action..I can only hope so at this point!

Senator Allards office:

Called 303 220 8126 and staffer did not know why he has not signed. Referred me to the DC office. Staffer said Allard is not sure what the final bill will be so he has not signed!

Congressman Perlmutter:

Called DC office. Asked if he was going to sign the Discharge Petition to bring it to the floor and was told he has not decided. Ask her to ask him to sign..."will pass the message on!"

Because he is a Senator they don't sign.

I faxed Perlmutter earlier today.

Phrede do we have a list of co-sponsors but not signers that a Reps on site here already?

I thought the earlier list was Dems.

The Discharge Petition is on the House side only for Congress members right now.
