Can I ask you guys' opinion/feeling?

With so many candidates withdrawing, do you think it is going to boil down to just McCain and Romney for the Republican nominees?

And if yes, should we just start NOW campaigning for Romney instead of waiting for some miracle to happen? In other words, instead of splintering among Paul, Huckabee, and whoever is still running, should we just unite as one behind Romney to fight McCain?

    What do you think?

I'm already making calls for Romney today and had a Huckbee supporter who is an Evangelical change her vote to Romney. The rest were very pleasant and voting for Romney or didn't have time to talk.

    It's easy.

    Sharp turn

From Bush to McCain is not a sharp turn. Rather it is a continuation of the Republican Party's globalist path that they have been on for quite a while.

The Republican Party has not changed. We have. That is, we have opened our eyes.

    Ditto for me.
    Romney has got my vote.
It will matter, since I'll be voting in San Diego.

This just in from Glenn Beck:

    Super Tuesday

After getting approximately zero media attention when he won Maine over the weekend, Mitt Romney is preparing to do the impossible (like the Giants did) and win Super Tuesday. McCain leads in many of the key states on Super Tuesday and has the liberal media backing him, but Romney has just taken a lead in the polls in California. Could California, of all states, be the ones to turn the tide back towards Romney? Watch it all unfold live as The Glenn Beck Program goes all night long Super Tuesday with Glenn doing his first ever live television show coupled with Stu and crew broadcasting the results live, exclusively for the Insiders online.

    McCain's character beyond question

    By: ROCKY CHAVEZ - Commentary

Why John McCain? It comes down to character

Uncertain voter wrote on Feb 4, 2008 1:50 AM:I was planning to vote for McCain but if all of the info on this blog is true, I am having second thoughts. Romney might get my vote by default. What else should we know about these people?

Maybe slightly further. I would not call it a lot further. On the most essential issues they are in lock-step. The war, immigration, trade etc. On some less important issues McCain may be further left. But he is essentially a continuation of Bush.

My point is that the Republican Party is not changing before our eyes. Its the same party, we just have a different perspective at this point. Did you think John McCain was this dangerous back in 2000? Did you think George Bush was? But I clearly remember back then that they were both soft on immigration. Nobody cared back then. Now that we care, we are making a huge deal of McCain, even though he was the same McCain who ran in 2000. Same Bush conservatives embraced in 2000 and 2004. Just that Bush was not controversial because immigration was not a huge issue. McCain is today because immigration is a huge national issue.

So, like I said, it is we who have changed, and not the Republican Party.
Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.

    See you at the signing!!
