04-03-2006, 08:25 AM #31I'm still wondering about dxd's write in vote.BTW I did a write-in for President in 2004.
I am probably going to need to do that this time around and I want to know how these people get on the ballot, because even a write-in candidate has to be on the "list." You can't just jump up and write somebody's name down. It doesn't work that way.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I think they are dickering and dragging their feet so they can come back and tell us, 'We tried, but we can't get anything done until after the elections."
Is it true Frist isn't going to run for re election? Could this be the cause of his new found backbone? Or is it grandstanding in preparation for a presidential run???
It really doesn't matter - we can keep the heat on - but push comes to shove - they have had over 20 years to fix this. That is how long it has been a serious problem. I realize that isn't the case for a lot of America - but for the border states, it is. Congress has known about it.
Years ago, McAllen, Texas, school district was contemplating a law suit against the federal government for failing to enforce the border laws. IT was breaking their school district.
In Texas, schools were once financed primarily by property taxes in their own school district - with some state funding, and some federal funding (since the 60's). So a school district with a lot of illegals was in big trouble.
So what did our TExas legislature do? They passed the 'Robin Hood Bill'. They decided that ALL school districts would be funded equally - not from the state - but monies would be taken from the wealthier school districts to prop up the others.
This was not passed for any nice reason of making education equal for all - it was passed to keep the school districts adversely affected by illegals from going through with that lawsuit.
The man leading the push for this bill was a man I had met, talked with, contributed money to, and campaigned for - what a sucker I was.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

04-03-2006, 01:02 PM #33Frist has planned to run for President for a long time, I think. Another globalist who will go out of his way to mess over Americans, if you ask me. the puppet show goes on......Is it true Frist isn't going to run for re election? Could this be the cause of his new found backbone? Or is it grandstanding in preparation for a presidential run???
I'm not sure which man this is you are speaking of but I know the pain that betrayal from politicians. The man leading the push for this bill was a man I had met, talked with, contributed money to, and campaigned for - what a sucker I was.
I thought they ditched the Robin Hood proposal though? After all, those rich folks don't want their schools disrupted. I live in a border city, too, so I know exactly what you are talking about with regard to the ruination of the country starting in border towns.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

The “Rumble” Grows…
Rumble at the Ranch Event Highlights Bush
Immigration Law Non-Enforcement
TEMPLE, Texas – Plans are progressing for “Rumble at the Ranch,” a rally highlighting George W. Bush’s non-enforcement of immigration laws. The event, scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, May 6, in the football stadium parking lot (adjacent to the Community Center) of President Bush’s adopted hometown of Crawford, Texas, is sponsored by Latino Americans for Immigration Reform (LAIR) and the Texas Minutemen and locally hosted by The Lynn Woolley Show (www.BeLogical.com).
Another component of this event is a Homefrontal Assault campaign in which citizens can express their support of immigration enforcement by sending the president a postcard. As patriotic Americans are flooding their congressional officials with letters, faxes and e-mails, Rumble at the Ranch organizers are also working to keep a flow of cards and letters en route to President Bush. “We are encouraging people to send a postcard from their hometown to the president’s with a message regarding Mr. Bush’s illegal immigration stance.” Lou Ann Anderson, producer of The Lynn Woolley Show, said. “This is also a great opportunity for those who cannot travel to Crawford on May 6, but would still like to participate in the effort.” Postcards should be sent to Homefrontal Assault/P.O. Box 266/Crawford, TX 76638-0266.
The Rumble at the Ranch rally will feature speakers from across the country. Minuteman Project founder Jim Gilchrist, American Patrol’s Glenn Spencer and radio talk show host Terry Anderson will address the crowd. Additional speakers include John Clark of Americans for Immigration Control, Barbara Coe from California Coalition for Immigration Reform, Rick Oltman of the Federation of Americans for Immigration Reform, Michelle Dallacroce of Mothers Against Illegal Aliens, California State Assembly candidate Tony Dolz, Bob Park from Veterans for Secure Borders, Tennessee gubernatorial candidate Carl Twofeathers Whitaker, David Heppler of Arizona Border Watch, Minuteman Project Executive Director Stephen Eichler, veteran Ray Herrera and New Mexico Minuteman Clifford Alford. When sending the postcards, please do not put anything referring to George Bush in the address area. Simply use Homefrontal Assault P O Box 266 Crawford TX 76638-0266. Anything with the president's name or title in the address gets forwarded to Washington.
To date, we have received 0 (that would be zero, zip, nada.) post cards. If you have sent a post card to the address above, please let me know.
Thanks.

No Recess for “Rumble”
Immigration Reform Discussion Headed to Crawford
TEMPLE, Texas – Although Congress is in recess, “Rumble at the Ranch” organizers continue preparing for the May 6 rally that will highlight George W.
"This is a bittersweet event," Lou Ann Anderson, producer of The Lynn Woolley Show said. "Many of us voted not once, but twice for the President. We support many Bush administration positions, but feel absolutely 'sold out' when it comes to illegal immigration and its negative effect on our country."
Rumble at the Ranch will feature speakers from across the country. Minuteman Project founder Jim Gilchrist, American Patrol’s Glenn Spencer, Barbara Coe from California Coalition for Immigration Reform and radio talk show host Terry Anderson will address the crowd. Other speakers include representatives from Americans for Immigration Control, Federation of Americans for Immigration Reform, Mothers Against Illegal Aliens,
Veterans for Secure Borders, Arizona Border Watch, New Mexico Minuteman and the Constitution Party of Texas. Political candidates from Tennessee to California will speak along with other individual immigration reform activists. The complete speaker roster is listed at www.areckoning.com.

As patriotic Americans are flooding their congressional officials with letters, faxes and e-mails, Rumble at the Ranch organizers are also working to keep a flow of cards and letters en route to President Bush. Organizers cite the Homefrontal Assault campaign as a great opportunity for those who cannot travel to Crawford on May 6, but would still like to participate in the effort. __________________________________________________ _______
I just received a letter from Frist saturday.
Part of the letter states: "In order to address this issue I have Introduced S.2454, the Securing America's Border Act, a billion-dollar down payment that focuses on border security and interior law enforcement and will enable the Senate to pusue comprehensive immigration reform."
His final paragraph states:
Let me be clear, I do not support amnesty, but I do understand the labor challenges facing our nation, and as Majority Leader, I will continue to work with my colleagues to address this critical problem in the 109th Congress. On the basis of sound immigration policy, we can protect our borders, and continue to welcome legal immigrants, and in doing both we will improve the lives of all Americans".
HE SURE SOUNDS MORE AND MORE LIKE BUSH TO ME.
Notice how he says "improve the lives of all Americans". Is he talking about NEW Americans, or is he talking about us??!!!
RIP Butterbean! We miss you and hope you are well in heaven.-- Your ALIPAC friends
