Another Bush Kick in the Shin of Americans
From the Polipundit wesite. Seems like we can't win on any front!!!
One Step Forward, Two Steps Back
Congress gives us one step forward;
Millions of Americans will soon have to clear a new hurdle to get health care through Medicaid.
Starting July 1st, recipients must show birth certificates or U.S. passports to qualify for state programs.
Supporters say the measure will keep illegal immigrants from getting health care paid for by the government.
The Administration takes us two steps back;
The Bush administration moved Friday to let states accept sworn affidavits from people trying to access government-sponsored health care for the poor when records such as birth certificates and passports are unavailable.
Please, what Administration Staff Members think this stuff up??
