LULAC urges Congress to pass laws that provide stronger sentencing and more aggressive prosecution for hate crimes. The federal government’s role should be expanded in the prosecution of hate crimes by being allowed to assist state and local efforts to prosecute a broader scope of hate crimes.
They're preparing for the passage of this bill in the House.

This issue is long from being over, especially if passes the House

I will tell you what is going to be justice --

When all these illegals begin filing lawsuits against their employers for one thing or another.

Do not think they won't. Once they are 'legal', they can then sue for

not being paid as much as the white person they replaced -

    for workplace safety -

    for back overtime -

for having no one to speak Spanish to supervise them -

    The list is endless.

    Mamie,

What an excellent thought! You should copyright that! :P And put it on t-shirts, billboards, the whole nine yards!
thanks for the compliment. I'm so sick of hearing the word 'racism' from people that are NOT even citizens of this country, what's funny is they include everyone regardless of 'race' -- blacks, white, latino, etc. All of these 'races' have one thing in common -- they're Patriotic Americans and citizens of this country

    Mamie,

You and I are from the South. Being called a racist is nothing new to us.
It has been used to silence dissent for a very long time.

I don't know about you, but it never held much water with me and all it does now is let me know the people attempting to silence me have absolutely no facts, no logic, no reason in them - just an attempt to shut me up.

    It doesn't work -

I don't know where you are, but it's funny when I tell blacks that we are called "racist" -- the look of disgust is priceless.

    Oh, I live in Texas.

I just mean that I have been called a racist on various boards just because I live in the South. No other reason.

that is sooooooo stupid, but that's probably from people that still think the civil war was fought over slavery

Do we have any groups urging Congress to pass laws for "caucasian hate crimes'? There seems to be twice as many people who openly show hatred and scorn toward people with light colored skin. Who is going to protect us?

    Butterbean,

There's already a hate crimes law on the books. Doesn't the Congress know that? My guess, if I may, is that LULAC wants more laws to encroach upon the First Amendment. Then, bad-mouthing illegals, becomes a hate crime.

    Damn communists!

Butterbean, when the year 2010 gets here, I hope you come visit me; I'll let you know which jail I end up in (for the crimes of making unkind remarks against LaRaza, Lulac, and for bad-mouthing Hillary).

What part of "We don't owe our jobs to India" are you unable to understand, Senator?

I'll be in the same jail. I have already begun to prepare my family for my eventual arrest. I'm not going to be a part of their open borders, socialistic "mi casa su casa" propaganda.
