Do you think Hussein Obama, Hillary Clinton or Hillary Rodham-Clinton (she gets two votes that way) will be voting on the final passage of the bill? I can bet they will vote for cloture, but they may want to reserve deniability on the "real" vote. If so that would be 2 votes gone.

Hillary will Vote out in the open, she has no choice, she has solid support of the Anti-War Moonbat leftist crowd and is a confirmed La Raza lap Dog.

I don't think any candidate that wants to remain viable will do that.

Voting for cloture on S. 1348 is tantamount to voting "YES" for the "REAL" vote.

Sort of like a "toe into the pool to test the H2O temp". If Obamanation and Hillary see that it is an ill-fated outcome, they'll "reel" in disgust that some of their colleagues thought it was a good idea. "What were they thinking"... Fill in with "heartfelt" discourse here.

So yes, they may well stifle final passage, but it is OUR responsibility to remember just how close the came to "taking the plunge" after the "toe test"... Vote accordingly.

My emotions have the gambet. Some days I feel/felt that the battle is lost. I get sad and then angry and remind myself what exactly is at stake and I start writing and calling with vigor. Never lose hope and keep fighting the good fight

That is what I'm telling staffers, but it isn't entirely true. They will still have to find 50 Senators to put their neck on the block to vote for final passage. Many know how unpopular this is. Some, even the ones that vote for cloture, will not vote for final passage. We know some turncoat Republicans who said they would vote for cloture but not the final bill (if they know that going in they should be voting no for cloture, of course but that is another discussion.) Granted the bar is lower - simple majority - but they have to find 50 still.

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS TO ME AS WELL. I FIND THAT SOMETIMES IT IS BETTER TO TAKE A DAY OFF. I THINK THAT A DEFEATUS ATTITUDE IS CAUSED BY BURNOUT. AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT HAPPENS TO ME. ONCE I TAKE A REST FOR A DAY, I AM CHARGED AND CONFIDENT AGAIN. AND I PICK THE DAYS OFF CAREFULLY AND WATCH FOR ALERTS. I TAKE DAYS OFF WHEN ALL SEEMS QUIET.

I AM SURE OUR FOREFATHERS GOT BURNOUT SOMETIMES TOO. I AM SURE THERE WERE DAYS WHEN THEY THOUGHT THEIR VISION WAS NOTHING MORE THAN A PIPE DREAM. BUT THEY PUSHED ON.
