Thread: CSpan2 - Senate Convenes 6:40 am PT 9/26/07

Yep, they're saying over at DAP that it won't be part of the DOD bill, but they're hanging on to Reid's words that he'll get it done by November 16th (possibly for little Tommy's birthday.) They're hoping people like Hutchinson, Crapo, Ben Nelson, Cornyn, Martinez, and all others that objected to it being attached will vote for it as a stand alone.

We must keep fighting this garbage until then, especially with those Senators mentioned above.

Sounds like they are getting ready to wrap up for the day. (4:44pm PT).

Can anyone do some checking on Thomas to see if they (well, Reid) pulled the DA (Durbin's Amendment)? - not immediately, but sometime this evening.
That would be very helpful.

Ah Ha this is what I said earlier all of these people have been saying they would vote on this as a stand alone bill, can't wait to see how they are going to get out of it when it is a stand alone bill.

I said a while ago that defeating the DREAM would take a lot of wind out of their sails. Today was an important first step, but the whole DREAM idea has to go down in flames. If it happens, THAT will be a MAJOR step in turning this country back in the right direction.

DITTO...and the AG's bill, Reid brought it up earlier, well the Farm Bill, same thing they are going to attach the AG's bill to it and it is a huge amnesty bill and must be stopped. T

he Dream Act and AG'S bill are the two major pieces of the legislation from the Immigration bill 1639 with the most amnesty they are trying to push through on something else!! We must stop it they can let way to many people in under the guise of agreculture!
