2 Years Before Ferguson: Tanks and Heavily Armored Personnel Carriers Roll Through NORTH St Louis

    Dean Garrison August 16, 2014
    2 Comments

For those who are unaware, Ferguson is basically a suburb in North St. Louis.

For anyone who has ever lived in a large city, you will understand that Ferguson is basically part of St. Louis, but with its own unique identity. After this week, that identity is something that Ferguson might not want to claim.
In January of 2013, I wrote an article called "Blackhawks, Tanks, DHS Ammo Containers and Litmus Tests?"
That article has been on my mind all week.
    Why?
Because even though I have written about the movement of military equipment many times in the last two years, that is the only time I have ever written about heavily armored vehicles actually rolling through the streets of an American city. I had to go back and look at the article and video because I was curious. Though the local news report did not specifically mention Ferguson, it did mention that the military vehicles were moving through North St. Louis.

Here is the video which was shot in 2012:

Does this mean anything? I don't know.
I understand that the news report makes it sound like a driver's education class for tank operators. I also know that the real story and the story we are given are not always the same. I just can't understand why they would risk an accident in a major city when it has been revealed that our military has its own replica cities for training. Why can't they practice in Virginia rather than risk an accident with civilians involved?
    It is a legitimate question.
We have certainly heard plenty of rumors and even had one congressman call for military presence. For those who may have missed it, Representative John Lewis has called for martial law in Ferguson.
The question in my mind is if this 2012 "drill" or "training" has anything to do with what we see now. It might seem like a stretch to say that, however…
For anyone who lives in San Francisco, Dallas, Chicago, Boston or Miami…
Or any other large city in America…
When was the last time you saw military tanks and heavily armored vehicles rolling through your streets?
Why the North side and not the South side for these drills?
Earlier in the week, Jerome Corsi revealed that the Northern part of St. Louis has actually been deemed by the French government as an unsafe place to visit. Could it be that our government has been waiting for something to happen there?
    I don't know.
I can't totally dismiss that they were training for something that was specifically in North St. Louis. If that is the case, then we may be far from done in Ferguson. Early morning news reports seem to indicate that tensions started to rise again last night after they seemed to be calming.
    As for 2012…
    Strange coincidence?
    I hope so.

Please share this on Facebook and Twitter if you believe that Obama and Holder should not turn this case into another racially charged situation and, instead, wait for the facts to be discovered.
Obama wants racial division where ever he can get it, he is fanning the flames.....it is part of his masters agenda.

In The Name Of Safety… Be Careful What You Wish For America (Re: Ferguson)

    By News Staff

On a rainy summer night in Ferguson, Missouri protestors gathered in the streets crying out for their voices to be heard. No matter what side of the Mike Brown incident you stand on, one thing is clear; when citizens and media alike are confronted by heavily armed militarized riot police, free speech does not stand a chance. Though the gathering of individuals on the streets of Ferguson was diverse, the individuals assembled for had one united concern “Freedom of Speech.”
On the evening of August 16th, the protestor’s anguish only grew after the state of Missouri warned of a curfew at midnight. Hundreds stood fast in the pouring rain to tell the government they refused to have their rights violated. However, protestors were only to be met with the menacing sight of militarized police armed to the teeth firing “CS Gas” and rubber bullets into the crowd indiscriminately.
A freelance journalist was witnessed walking away from the epicenter with blood running done his arm and a severely disfigured shoulder. Earlier in the day, several citizens actually stated that they believed the show of force was necessary, that it was just in the name of safety. What these citizens do not realize is that giving up your rights in the name of safety only makes you more vulnerable, the constitution was formed to protect the people, with it removed, you must ask yourself… “How does having no rights make me safer?”
The Ferguson situation has painted a clear picture; if the government pushes the people too hard, they will push back, the end result with only lead to disaster. If safety was the main concern, this situation was handled inappropriately. When citizens believe that they can no longer express themselves freely they feel they have nothing left to lose, that’s why we are here.
Furthermore, I am not advocating violence and looting in anyway shape or form, I am advocating the citizens and police alike to be lawful and constitutional.

The cops are going after the wrong people at the wrong time in Ferguson. Al Sharpton is celebrating the violence in the aftermath of Michael Brown's death and the New Black Panthers are stirring the pot as well.

Obama’s DOJ Silent as New Black Panthers Leader Incites Violence in Ferguson

Posted by Rottdawg on Aug 17, 2014 in American Culture

The leader of the New Black Panthers is instigating more violence in Ferguson, following the shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown and the Federal Bureau of Investigations says it is concerned.

    Fox St. Louis reports:
The FBI is concerned members of the New Black Panther Party are in Ferguson and advocating violence against police.
According to an alert from the St. Louis Division of the FBI the National Chief of Staff of the New Black Panther Party is in Ferguson. Chawn Kweli and other members of the NBPP are in town to respond to the shooting of Michael Brown.
This is part of a Facebook status posted by Kweli, “This is the hour all the greats promised. If you die, die like a warrior. I’ll see you on the ground.”
Roche Madden, a reporter with the local Fox affiliate tweeted:
Al Sharpton, race baiter extraordinaire arrived on the scene in Ferguson, not to calm the people down till the facts come out, but instead to do exactly what he and others did during the Trayvon Martin media circus, get social justice like a pack of wild dogs. We are a nation of laws, not vigilantes.
The New Black Panthers produced a list of demands for police.

    Among those demands were:

    1. The officer involved in the shooting death of Michael Brown be IMMEDIATELY identified.
    2. The same officer should be immediately fired and charged with murder.
    3. The Ferguson Police Department “Protocol Handbook” be distributed throughout the Ferguson community.
    4. The racial composition of the Ferguson Police Department should reflect the racial demographics of the community.

It appears to me the only racists in this entire thing are the New Black Panthers and their accomplices in the Obama administration. Whatever happened to “not judging a person by the color of their skin but by the content of their character? I thought people like Jesse Jackson was supposed to have been a disciple of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Why is he not speaking out against this kind of talk? It’s because he backs it because he and his ilk profit from the demoralization and suffering of the black community.

And now it’s been learned the Brown may have actually been involved in a robbery shortly before his being fatally shot.
Keep in mind that Attorney General Eric Holder let these guys off the hook back in August of 2012 for threatening to kill all white people. Take a listen to the unlawful statements of New Black Panthers King Samir Shabazz. *Warning* Graphic language.

Can you imagine if white people said this in public? Holder and his team would be all over them, charging them with hate crimes! The hypocrisy of this administration is astonishing.
Shabazz had plans for the New Black Panthers to create inner city militaries that would murder white people and even enter nurseries and murder white babies. This is the criminal conduct that Attorney General Eric Holder allowed to go free from prosecution to terrorize entire neighborhoods.
While Shabazz has claimed that white people have been the ones pushing “crack, AIDS and unemployment” on black people as a war to “exterminate” them, he fails to realize the very Judas’ in his own community who have been active to kill off black people. He fails to realize how Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have been at the forefront, along with people like Barack Obama and Eric Holder in painting blacks in a bad light, keeping them on welfare and encouraging them to murder their own children by means of abortion. They encourage the thug lifestyles popularized by the likes of Jay-Z and the pornographic actions and lyrics of his wife Beyonce, who claims to be a Christian, but her fruit is absolutely rotten.
They forget that FDR laughed as he said he would have them voting democrat. They forget that the likes of Margaret Sanger and many in the eugenics movement sought purposefully to eliminate the black community by abortion and through members of the community killing their brothers. If you have not seen it, I would highly recommend the DVD Maafa 21: Black Genocide in 21st Century America and learn exactly who is responsible for the desires of the extermination of blacks. You might be surprised.
In the end, this isn’t about race. We are all one blood. The Scriptures teach us that we all came from our first parents Adam and Eve. Through them, God showed tremendous diversity of the human race even though all men fell into sin in Adam. However, in Jesus Christ we are to be one new man (Eph 2:11-22). Therefore, let’s put the racial divides aside and start treating one another with love and respect each other as we are all (red, yellow, black and white) made in the image of God.

America Is Under Military Occupation, But Americans Are Pushing Back

August 18, 2014 by Bob Livingston

Heavily armed and armored, camouflage-clad storm troopers swarmed across the city, pointing rifles at citizens and journalists, firing tear gas and blasting with sound cannons the crowds that were standing in their own yards and business parking lots, or walking down the streets. An armored vehicle with a machine gun mounted on top rolled past in a show of force.
A scene from some Third World dictatorship or from Communist China? No. It’s right out of middle America.
The response by the St. Louis County Police Department to protests in Ferguson, Missouri, following the shooting of Michael Brown, an unarmed teenager, by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson was to demonstrate the overwhelming force of a military occupation in an effort to intimidate the populace into submission. It served to do the opposite.
Rather than disperse as ordered, residents stood in defiance, shouting “Hands up, don’t shoot,” and holding their hands in the air as a symbolic gesture to descriptions by multiple witnesses of Brown’s actions as he was shot multiple times. With crowds growing — and growing increasingly militant by throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails at their oppressors — the local police were relieved of patrol duties by Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon and replaced by state police, led by a black former resident of Ferguson, Capt. Ron Johnson.

MCT/Capt. Ronald Johnson of the Missouri Highway Patrol smiled as demonstrators marched in Ferguson on Thursday.

Johnson came to Ferguson as a peace officer rather than an oppressor; and like a light switch had been turned, the tensions of the crowd subsided and protests became peaceful. Johnson walked the streets with protesters, listened to their concerns and showed he was on their side rather than on the side of their occupiers.
The crowd stood up to tyranny and won — at least temporarily. That changed Friday night. After some looting began, police again moved on the crowd but did little or nothing to help those being looted. On Saturday, Nixon declared a state of emergency and curfew. The curfew was largely ignored and the police brought the military equipment back. It erupted again on Sunday night when police moved in with teargas and smoke canisters and rubber bullets.
It’s the second time in recent months that American citizens have stood to defy a militarized assault. Back in April, armed goons from the Bureau of Land Management began rustling Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s cattle in order to free up land he’s been grazing for years so that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, his family and his cronies could make what they considered better use of it. It was land to which Bundy claimed ancestral grazing rights, land he claimed belonged to Nevada rather than the U.S. government.
After a video went viral that showed armed BLM agents siccing dogs on and shooting Tasers at Bundy family members, members of Oath Keepers and other patriots — many of them armed — showed up at the Bundy ranch to stand up to the BLM, which was bringing in heavily armed and armored troops of its own.
A tense standoff ensued. Some of the highest-ranking members of the U.S. government called Bundy and his supporters domestic terrorists. President Barack Obama considered deploying the military to drive Bundy and his supporters off the land. Some reports identified special forces members among the BLM agents on the scene.
In the end, the armed aggressors backed off and dispersed.
The militaristic style response by the St. Louis County PD is not surprising given the rising militarism of local police across the country. I began warning you of this several years ago in articles like “The Violent Militarization Of Local Police,” “Local Law Enforcement More Dangerous, Thanks To Trickle Down Of Military Equipment, Militarized Mindset,” and others that can be found in our Power of the State section. It is a natural and predicted outgrowth of the War on Drugs and the War on Terror, which has created an us-versus-them mindset between the government and those it views as its subjects and has resulted in the U.S. having the largest prison population in the world.
The increasing interaction between local police and unconstitutional federal law enforcement agencies like the Department of Homeland Security, the passing out of federal dollars to local agencies for training and equipment purchases and the proliferation of military hardware and weaponry have turned peace officers into oppression officers with military training, military equipment and the natural outgrowth of that: a military mindset.
Of course, blacks have for years been subject to special scrutiny and abuse by local police, but their complaints are usually dismissed by the majority that has been propagandized into believing that anyone falling on the wrong end of a police encounter must have been guilty of something and was, therefore, deserving of the abuse, no matter how egregious. Self-styled “law and order conservatives” are quick to dismiss the 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th and 14th Amendment rights of blacks and those who they think look like thugs or criminals or drug dealers whenever they have an encounter with police that ends badly. If they got shot, those “law and order conservatives” say, then they deserved it.
It appears that Ferguson police may have a history of not only abusing innocent people, like many other LEO (legally entitled to oppress) agencies, but of officers’ committing perjury in order to cover their abuse.
With a history like that, and with the militaristic response that followed, it’s certainly not surprising that Ferguson residents would suspect that their chances of learning the truth about the Brown shooting and seeing any punishment meted out to the LEO if he did — as it appears — go too far in administering his form of justice to a suspected strong-armed robber would be nil.
Another newly leaked document from DHS predicts an increased “anti-government violence of the next year.” Of course, the regime has been peddling this for several years with DHS missives and reports warning that enemies of America include people who believe in small government, fly the Gadsden flag, store food and water, served in the military, photograph landmarks or oppose gun laws.
But if there is anti-government violence in the next year, it will be because an abusive and oppressive government kept pushing Americans until they wouldn’t be pushed anymore. And if the government fears that if it pushes too far there will be anti-government violence, that is a good thing.

Ferguson Events Offer A Reminder: You Can Photograph Police On The Job

August 18, 2014 by Ben Bullard
    THINKSTOCK
It is legal to photograph or video record police officers in public as they carry out their duties. And, as a recent court ruling reinforces, it’s absolutely legal to photograph police on your property, even (rather, especially) during the execution of a search warrant.
Just because something is legal doesn’t mean the police will honor it. That’s the crux of the argument for protest against police who kill in the absence of a threat, or those who, with much greater frequency, deny due process in hundreds of little ways to Americans every day.
The chaos in Ferguson, Missouri, over the police shooting of Michael Brown has drawn national media attention. Reporters from major networks and newspapers have converged on Ferguson to report on the shooting, the rioting and the inevitable, regrettable appearance of Al Sharpton.
But in doing so, the press has become a part of the story. At least two reporters for separate news organizations have been detained simply for documenting what they saw.
Here’s Martin D. Baron, executive editor for The Washington Post, on the Ferguson Police Department’s treatment of reporter Wesley Lowery. Lowery and another reporter from The Huffington Post were detained inside a McDonald’s after several officers came inside the restaurant, told them to leave and ordered Lowery to stop filming once he’d whipped out his phone to document what was taking place:
Wesley has briefed us on what occurred, and there was absolutely no justification for his arrest.
He was illegally instructed to stop taking video of officers. Then he followed officers’ instructions to leave a McDonald’s — and after contradictory instructions on how to exit, he was slammed against a soda machine and then handcuffed. That behavior was wholly unwarranted and an assault on the freedom of the press to cover the news. The physical risk to Wesley himself is obvious and outrageous.
After being placed in a holding cell, he was released with no charges and no explanation. He was denied information about the names and badge numbers of those who arrested him.
We are relieved that Wesley is going to be OK. We are appalled by the conduct of police officers involved.
At one point after the police had placed Lowery and the other reporter, Ryan Reilly, in a cruiser, Lowery wrote about the following exchange:
A woman — with a collar identifying her as a member of the clergy — sat in the back. Ryan and I crammed in next to her, and we took the three-minute ride to the Ferguson Police Department. The woman sang hymns throughout the ride.
During this time, we asked the officers for badge numbers. We asked to speak to a supervising officer. We asked why we were being detained. We were told: trespassing in a McDonald’s.
“I hope you’re happy with yourself,” one officer told me. And I responded: “This story’s going to get out there. It’s going to be on the front page of The Washington Post tomorrow.”
And he said, “Yeah, well, you’re going to be in my jail cell tonight.”
Lowery’s one foil against the cops was his power as a member of the press. It ultimately worked — he and Reilly were let go after spending a short time in a cell, with no charges filed.
But it’s vital to emphasize that his rights are the same as any American’s: It’s not illegal for anyone to record what the police do in public.
“The arrest and intimidation of journalists for documenting the events in Ferguson is particularly disturbing because it interferes with the ability of the press to hold the government accountable,” wrote The Atlantic’s Olag Khazan last week. “But actually, anyone — journalist or otherwise — can take a photo of a police officer.
“Citizens have the right to take pictures of anything in plain view in a public space, including police officers and federal buildings. Police cannot confiscate, demand to view, or delete digital photos. Private property owners can set different rules for recording, but it did not appear from Lowery’s account that the McDonald’s manager was objecting to his video recording… Police officers frequently ignore these laws.”
And there’s the rub. Americans must routinely weigh their risks before participating in legal activities — if the police are nearby.

PARANOIAVILLE, AMERICA AS IRAQ, PSYCHO AND THE NEON LIGHTS OF THE BATES MOTEL

    By Paul McGuire

    NewsWithViews.com

When you turn on the television news and see all the armored vehicles, men in army green camouflage outfits with military helmets, snipers pointing their guns at crowds of unarmed civilians, and tanks you would swear you were looking at the American military in Iraq. But in reality you are looking at Ferguson, Missouri right here in America. The looting and protests in the Ferguson neighborhood streets over the shooting of Michael Brown, an 18 year-old black teenager, do not warrant an Iraq-invasion military response. But the greater danger is that this military-police response is not an isolated incident, for all across the nation local police have purchased armored vehicles, military outfits, night-vision goggles, sniper equipment, silencers, military helicopters, drones, and body armor that for all practical purposes has transformed the police into a military force.

With the racial tensions already set to explode in Ferguson, why would anyone in their right mind send in a military-style force where armed snipers are aiming their guns into the faces of unarmed crowds? That kind of response is likely to incite violence, not restrain it. Now in fairness to the police a very strong argument can be made that in many places in America there are armed gangs who are heavily armed and this kind of military force is necessary to send a loud and clear message to Ferguson and other places across America that violence, looting, and riots will not be tolerated. There were some pretty grim pictures taken from a news helicopter of a truck driver being brutally beaten in the inner city of Los Angeles after the Rodney King riots. In addition, in Los Angeles alone there have been the Watts riots and other riots where stores were looted. These small stores, which were owned by Vietnamese and Korean-Americans and other Asian-Americans had to be protected by their owners, who climbed to the roofs of their stores armed with guns to protect their property from the looters and rioters. The anarchy that broke out was so widespread that the police could not get in to protect the store owners.

There was a long period of time when police officers across America were literally outgunned by gangs and other criminals, who had sophisticated assault rifles, machine guns, and other weapons. Clearly, when criminals have superior firepower it not only endangers our law enforcement officials, but invites anarchy.

Perhaps this is why the decision was made to show a military-style police force with armored vehicles, tanks, snipers, etc.?

We now live in a post-911 world where the police and other agencies have been given expanded powers starting with the Bush Administration, supposedly to combat potential terrorist threats. However, the war against terrorism has not come without a cost. America’s freedoms have been diminished and it appears every American is under constant surveillance 24 hours per day in the quest for Metadata. When America ceases to be America, the case for the argument that Osama bin Laden won is not as strange as one may think. If America continues to move from the freest nation in the world into a totalitarian state, then America has been defeated just as surely as if someone had dropped a nuke on a U.S. city.

Totalitarianism is death and nuclear radiation is death. Pick your poison.

Our Founding Fathers established a Constitutional balance of powers between the different branches of government that was designed to protect those basic freedoms. The Bill of Rights guarantees Freedom of the Press, Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, and so on. Those freedoms and others have now been undermined as part of a long term strategy to radically transform America.

What some call an “invisible government” of extremely wealthy and powerful people who have been operating in our nation since its founding and whom our Founding Fathers warned us about have managed to establish control over our nation. This invisible government has installed its men and women into both political parties for many decades while cleverly maintaining the illusion of democracy. In addition, ever since the advent of mass media, the elites have raised up an almost all-powerful and unelected Fourth Branch of Government, the media, which they control through six major corporations. The consolidation of power through the use of propaganda and scientific mind control is staggering.

There is no question that America as we once knew it is being destroyed and an Orwellian State controlled by Aldous Huxley’s “Scientific Elite” is now in place. There appears to be very little mainstream protest to these trends because the vast majority of our political representatives from both parties are bought and paid for and they are paid well to keep their mouths shut. The vast majority of media personalities are also bought and paid for.

The intellectual dishonesty and the willingness of certain media personalities to be used for propaganda purposes are appalling.

Dressed in designer clothing, Botoxed and ever image-conscious, these media personalities spout their lines on cue, exactly as they are told. The most insidious form of the perversion of a free press comes in the form of the so-called conservative television and radio talk show hosts, authors, and other media personalities. They know full well that they are part of a dog and pony show to occupy the masses with the illusion of a meaningless conservative revolution. There are many notable exceptions to be sure, but most are frauds. Some of the “super conservative” media personalities seem to be the product of some kind of MKULTRA program. The constant spinning inside their eyes, the psychological fragmentation of their presentations, and their subtle, but strange facial expressions and smiles are reminiscent of the 1960 movie, Psycho, directed by Alfred Hitchcock and starring Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh.

Anthony Perkins plays the role of Norman Bates, who murders Janet Leigh in that infamous shower scene. Towards the end of the movie we discover that Norman Bates is dressed like his dead mother in a dress and a wig, and has a large knife in his hand. Next to Bates is the somewhat preserved but horrible looking corpse of his mother sitting in a rocking chair. When Norman is finally arrested for the murder, a psychiatrist discovers that he was raised by a domineering mother, who eventually had a lover.

He became pathologically jealous and murdered his mother and her lover. In order to deal with what he did Norman later developed a split personality to erase the murders from his memory. He goes back and forth between his Norman personality and his mother personality, which completely dominates him and causes him to commit the murders.

The psychological distortion in the eyes and facial expression of Bates is a tip off that something is not right inside his head. So the question has to be raised again, why do some of these media personalities and politicians remind me of Norman Bates? Not that they would commit murder, but their eyes just don’t ring true.
There is a dynamic relationship between the spiritual and moral breakdown of America and the loss of freedoms. History shows that when any culture deteriorates, some kind of authoritarianism rises to manage the chaos. Due to the break down of the family unit and the rejection of spiritual values, we now have countless millions of people who are psychologically imbalanced. All psychological data states that children raised in families without fathers have a far higher statistical risk of getting involved in crime and violence. This is not a racial issue; this is a psychological issue. You add the psychological potential for crime and violence along with hard core drugs like Meth and sophisticated weapons and you have a potentially explosive mix.

How do you deal with the problem? One way is through a military-style police presence and a show of force. There are logical and rational reasons for that kind of approach, but the downside is America begins to look like Iraq. When America begins to look like Iraq and the people who have the power to stop the drift towards totalitarianism refuse to take a meaningful stand, by default America is becoming an Orwellian State.

Some people believe that Edward Snowden is a defender of our civil liberties against intelligence agencies like the NSA, but the NSA and other intelligence agencies are actually necessary in a global Orwellian world. This does not mean that the NSA and other intelligences should not be subjected to Constitutional accountability and that the most vigorous protections should not be put in place to protect the rights and freedoms of the American people, for there is great danger here.

But there is also unprecedented danger from the very active intelligence agencies of Russia, China, militant Islamic regimes, rogue nations, terrorist groups, criminal cartels, and wealthy individuals who have access to the most advanced technologies.

These nations, groups, and individuals could crash the Stock Market, shut down power grids, transfer billions of dollars out of accounts, and create any number of deadly scenarios.

Like it or not, the NSA and other intelligence agencies are necessary, but they also are potential evils. If you get rid of the intelligence agencies you leave your front and back door wide open to every threat on Planet Earth. Is Edward Snowden simply a courageous “whistleblower? I really don’t know. But I do know that Russia still has KGB era style surveillance on its citizens. So let’s not be naďve regarding Snowden. For a start we could look very carefully at his eyes, facial expressions and other visible clues to his true nature. It is amazing when we use our God-given perceptions, how much information there is to see.

Rather than de-escalate situations using mental health professionals, police ALWAYS doubled down on their high-pressure tactics and militarized response.

DHS Says Law Enforcement Should Prepare For More Citizen Enemies

August 15, 2014 by Sam Rolley

    MCT

The militarized police response to protests in Ferguson, Missouri has led Americans from all walks of life to question whether law enforcement agencies have gone too far in arming themselves and training as though the civilian population is an ever-present enemy.
Meanwhile, leaked documents from the Department of Homeland Security suggest that police militarization is only likely to increase as officials claim that they are planning for increased “anti-government violence over the next year.”
DHS’s seven-page report, “Domestic Violent Extremists Pose a Threat to Government Officials and Law Enforcement,” cites the standoff between the Feds and Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy as a “perceived victory at Bunkervile” for domestic extremism that will “likely prompt more violence.” DHS officials go on to cite the crimes of Jerad and Amanda Miller, who killed three people in Las Vegas after spending a brief time at Bundy’s ranch before being asked to leave, as more evidence of increasing extremism.
    Via the report:
After years of only sporadic violence from violent domestic extremists motivated by anti-government ideologies, I&A has seen a spike within the past year in violence committed by militia extremists and lone offenders who hold violent anti-government beliefs. These groups and individuals recognize government authority but facilitate or engage in acts of violence due to their perception that the United States Government is tyrannical and oppressive, coupled to their belief that the government needs to be violently resisted or overthrown.
If the DHS report sounds familiar, it’s because it echoes the sentiments of a report produced earlier in the summer by the liberal Southern Poverty Law Center.
The organization argued in its executive summary:
For those harboring deep hatred of the federal government, the BLM pullout was seen as a dramatic victory, one instance where the armed radicals of the right stared through their own gunsights at the gun barrels of law enforcement officials and won. Rather than being condemned, their actions garnered the support of numerous politicians, including the governor of Nevada and commentators like Fox News’ Sean Hannity — a truly repulsive spectacle. This pandering to the far right by both politicians and media figures ended in a hurry, however, when Bundy engaged in racist blather about “the Negro.” Racism was crossing a line, apparently, but the calls from the ranch for revolution and outright defiance of federal law enforcement seemed to be just fine with the Hannitys of the world.
