Even our liberal citizens are getting fed up!
Glad to hear some of those on the liberal side starting to speak up!!
"While a series of marches focused much of the nation's attention on the plight of illegal immigrants, scores of other Americans quietly seethed. Now, with the same full-throated cry expressed by those in the country illegally, they are shouting back.
Congressional leaders in Washington have gotten bricks in the mail from a group that advocates building a border fence, states in the West and South have drawn up tough anti-immigrant laws, and ordinary citizens, such as Janis McDonald of Pennsylvania, who considers herself a liberal, are not mincing words in expressing their displeasure.
"Send them back," McDonald said. "Build a damn wall and be done with it."
The anger invoked a word that immigrant organizers who opposed Monday's boycott feared: backlash. McDonald and other Americans were particularly disturbed by Monday's boycott and civil action, attended in large part by people who entered the country illegally and are now demanding rights enjoyed by U.S.-born citizens and immigrants who entered the country legally.
"How dare they," said McDonald, a research specialist for the University of Pittsburgh who said she voted for Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.) in the 2004 presidential election. "If they are so active, why aren't they in Mexico City, why aren't they forcing their leaders there to deal with the quality of life? If you don't like it here, go home."""Send them Back." "Build a damn wall and be done with it."

Good news. I'm glad all Americans are seeing this for what it is. America is being held hostage by a bunch of foreigners who have no right to be here. If we don't give into their demands, they will stop the economy.
This is no longer a partisan issue. Its us against them.
Write your Senators and Congressmen.

Those like Reid, Clinton, Kennedy, McCain, Specter, Graham and others are playing a very dangerous game with our nation. With our very lives.

We're not being held hostage. We have all the power and the only reason people have forgotten that is because we as a nation have fallen asleep and been lazy. This protest has changed everything and "achieved" for illegals the exact opposite of what they set out to do.
I do videogames for a living and I am telling you everybody I work with was livid over this--and trust me most gamers are left leaning. For the first time this racist illegal crap (that those of us here at Allipac have known about for years) was shoved under the nose of middle America for all to see and people are PISSED.
On the other hand, on the positive side, everyone at the office remarked that the highways were clear, and the city was quieter and more pleasant. I heard about fifty requests for more "days without an immigrant."
This is an earthquake, guys, and don't think for a minute that we aren't winning.

Yes. I agree. I've never seen so many Americans so furious in all my life. My son came to visit over the weekend...he shrugged his shoulders and said "What did we expect anyway? The laws haven't been enforced for so long now that we're overrun with lawbreakers"
He's right. Time now to demand that our laws be ENFORCED. TODAY.

Your son is right, unfortunately.
I went to a bar outside of Dallas a few months ago and overheard a couple of guys talking about illegal immigration. As always, most of the guys thought it was dead wrong, but one guy was for it. I joined in the conversation, but focused on the pro-illegal guy, wanting to hear his view on the matter in case there might be some side I hadn't considered before. Finding anybody who's for it is so rare, as you know.
Anyway, I was subtle but I could tell the guy could sense my feelings on the matter, and he just fixed me with a steely gaze that bordered on hatred. Turns out he runs a construction company which employs illegals, and he was proud of it. His absolute contempt not only for the law, but working class Americans, was astounding. When I said the current administration was not enforcing our immigration laws, he looked at me like I was an idiot and informed me "they NEVER have!!" This creep then went on a blowhard diatribe about how any American who was too stupid to go to college and improve themselves deserved whatever they got AND he informed me that there was no such thing as a "living wage."
It was a great insight into the mind of an employer. You could actually feel his hatred of non-college educated Americans, and he also put across a distinct "don't F with me and my cash cow" attitude. Later after I left the bar, one of the other guys pointed out this man's car--it was a $80 K convertable with a foriegn name I'd never even heard of, and it was the nicest car in the parking lot by far.

Are there any anti-illegal immigration rallies planned?
I just joined this forum and live in Boston. I was wondering if there is an event being planned to counter last Monday's propaganda move (aside from writing to our elected politicians).

Liberals Against Illegal Immigration
I'm what you call a "liberal" . . . I'm Gay, Black, urban, and I vote Democratic most of the time. I never listen to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. I like Latinos and enjoy Latino culture. I even speak a little Spanish. I am totally against illegal immigration and always have been. I am completely offended by the rape of our national anthem. Don't stereotype all us "commie pinko liberals." We are more diverse in our views than you think. Some of us are issue-specific and don't deal in identity politics.
