FRIDAY NIGHT RELAX TIME .......... GRAB BAG
Tonight we all deserve a bit of relax time , The battle will begin again very shortly , While the Dream act has not came up , yet , You can be sure it will before this is said and done, we cannot give them an inch.
Before resuming our calls to action , take a few moments and consider this weeks selections
--------------------------------------------------
I give you the first really heavy metal song IMO
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGmkM4v9AaY
Mid 60s , a dark and evil song , a 17 year old guitarist , Brilliant work
--------------------------------------------------
I give you one of the top 5 classic songs of all time , Take a moment and just LISTEN. The doors were amazing in so many different ways , some think of Morrison as a drug addled loser , but I can tell you , he was way beyond genius , I don't agree with his life style but would he have been Jim Morrison without it?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flOvM4Z355A
The carnival signature sound conjures up something from a Ray Bradbury novel , This is the sound of a cool summer night on a Calif beach , been there done that.
I have extensively studied the Doors and their music , There will never be another
--------------------------
As a sidebar the remake by Jose Feliciano is every bit as good but in a
different style, A true work of genius in music is when others cannot remake a bad version

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
For anyone here that is unaware Jose Feliciano is totally blind , and yet

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GT0Sz6iR ... re=related
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've shown you a Hispanic , a Black and now a White guy
Eric Johnson can stand with these 2 any day of the week

(Taste, speed and feel beyond compare)
Guitarist search for this tone for life and most never find it

In A Gadda Da Vida! The actual title was supposed to be In a Garden of Eden but the lead singer was so drunk at a rehearsal he was slurring it like this. It sounded good to everyone involved though so they kept it like that for the final recording.
It was the first album I ever bought that one entire side of the album was just one song. Still have it and the Metamorphosis album too.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
