Gov. Schwarzenneger VETOES SB-60 IA Driver's license!!!!

From Jeff Schwilk, San Diego Minutemen:

Thank you Arnold! See attached statement by the Gov. REJECTING this bill.

Here's the list of all bills signed and vetoed today: http://gov.ca.gov/index.php?/press-release/10701/

Due to our constant pressure by we the people, this alien drivers bill never had a chance. It was One Bill Gil's last try for La Raza licenses before he leaves the Senate in January. Good riddance!

So true. You know this financial mess could become our best weapon against an iminent amnesty push.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't SB-60 just for the drivers licenses?

What about the Calif. "Dream Act"?

Looks like the CA Dream Act is AB 2083. Did this become law if Arnold didn't veto it?

    YES HE DID!!!
    Its SB 1301 (Gil Cedillo)

In his veto message on Tuesday, the governor wrote that it was not appropriate to pass the bill given the condition of the state's economy.

"I share the author's goal of making affordable education available to all California students, but given the precarious fiscal condition the state faces at this time, it would not be prudent to place additional demands on our limited financial aid resources as specified in this bill," he stated.
