You did not have to see the faces of the FROBLs to sense their dismay. Their moral imploded and the battle was soon over with smoke coming up from the engine room at FR.

You can disagree with Hannity all you like, but we should all remain respectful for what he did during the battle of Free Republic and he was one of the ONLY major media personalities to join the Minutemen at the Border.

That is true William. But have you noticed that all the FOX people have either become quiet, or were told to not discuss the illegal immigration issue. Even Bill O'reilly has changed his tune. Thats why I prefer CNN over FOX now.

That's cool and all, but what irritates me as well as i'm sure alot of people on this board is that Hannity is so wishy-washy on this issue. I'm glad he acknowledges that we need border security, that's a no-brainer, but to say that we shouldn't go after the employers is absurd. They are the biggest reason why our borders remain so porous. It's like he's trying to have his cake and eat it too. You either enforce the laws to a T or not at all. We can't afford to compromise on this issue. All those who've been responsible for leaving our borders wide open must be held accountable. Hannity needs to be more like Savage. He needs to quit trying to appease Bush and tell it like it is 100 percent. He's always trying to claim we all need to be intellectually honest and tell it like it is regardless of party affiliation, well he needs to practice what he preaches. He also needs to hold Republicans just as accountable as he does Democrats. Just my two cents.

Lou Dobbs went to Tombstone during the MM in April 2005. Technically I don't know if Dobbs went to the physical border, but he did indeed cover the MM on his show and went to Tombstone.
Lou did an admirable job of covering the MMP. I was one of many people who put him onto it. Lou was one of the best supporters.

I don't know if anyone realizes this or not but there was a major effort going on behind the scenes to get all that publicity for the MMP from all the news media. I, personally wrote to at least 75 local and national broadcast stations to make sure that those people, headed to AZ to sit on a desolate border and face the unknown, would be safe from not only attacks by the threat of violence from across the border but from provocation by American groups like the ACLU and others who always manage to find a way to stir up trouble at the worst possible moment.

The MMP was intended to focus the attention on the border. I think it was a huge success. I consider it sort of an "awakening." It was when American citizens banded together behind a common cause to prove that we CAN make a difference.
