I trust Kaus-I've met the man, and I know he only publishes what he believes. Plus, reading between the lines of what McConnell has said it seems like he's open to surrendering on DREAM if the Democrats agree to extending the Bush Era tax cuts.

I don't see it with the dream act being in the mix

The repubs know one of the reasons they got put back in power was because of the illegal immigration issue , If these idiots throw it away
in a deal then its going to be tar and pitchforks , I see no other out after that.

Understand , The repubs have the high ground , they don't need a compromise on anything , It would be against their best interests to give the dems one inch on anything.

The repubs got the nod because America is sick of the shady deals the dems have been pulling.

We have all been making tons of phone calls these last couple weeks , but its nothing compared to the amount of calls that are going to shut them down if they try for a vote on cloture on the dream act.

If they do get cloture , I'd love to see a movement to arrest and detain any congress person that votes for this during a time of economic upheaval , or better yet , try this
