It is all a scam. If Thompson was not in the race tonight, McCain would not have won. Thompson will stay in until his best friend sews up the nomination, or at least close.

Then McCain will lose to Clinton. And we are in deep you know what.
    Exactly!!!!!

Do you have a source for that statement? Or is that just rhetoric?

    Jonathan,

There is some relation to Thompson's first wife and McCain. He helped her with some medical or political problem. I don't remeber. I think they are still friends.

Based on the above statement, Fred Thompson sure was willing to suffer a great deal of defeat and humiliation for this friend named John McCain. And let's not forget the large amounts of money that he accepted from the public, his family and friends. To repeatedly be beaten, to never really get a foothold in the run for President, he must really be beholden to this John McCain. A well thought of former Senator and actor tossed his hat in the ring to help John McCain and in the process to a certain extent humiliate himself.

If Mr. Thompson endorses John McCain that would indeed be disappointing as said earlier.

    Ephesians 4:32
    Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

But did Thompson and McCain actually go on a honeymoon together with their wives? What is the source of such a story!? If it was true, the media would have been all over it. Therefore I doubt it ever happened.

John McCain and Lindsey graham are good firends and have been allied on many non-GOP positions. Outside of immigration both Graham and McCain supported a bill that would limit interrogation techniques of terrorists but did not acknowledge torture of Americans in captivity (provisions removed by McCain and Graham). Their positions are identical on illegal immigration and when you vote for McCain you vote for Lindsey Graham as their positions are identical.

    Remember this:

Bill Clinton, Hillary and John McCain agree on immigration. Bill Clinton endorses John McCains Amnesty Bill:

Tim Russert reminds us of John McCains Amnesty:

John McCain attacks people on illegal immigration:

McCain still supports Amnesty in this video. If he is president that will be his main push:

Graham spent countless hours campaigning for McCain in SC and it really only indicates the particular stance of the RNC and their influence in South Carolina. The majority of active folk are older and depend on main stream media to get their information. South Carolina has a great deal of independents. But we cannot forget the power of the agro lobby here, regardless of South Carolina's known-for rebellious place in history, many socialists and global corpratists have moved in there over the years.

I would have to say that a vote for McCain is a vote for Graham and Kennedy.

Thompson is an actor and one of John McCain's best friends. Thompson's job in S.C. was to split the vote enough between he, Huckabee and Romney to give SC to McCain. He delivered, but the more I think about it; the more I understand it was not South Carolina's fault. They were just taken in by the Karl Rove machine.
I heard Buchanan talking about the fact that this might be the strategy.
The fact that Pat said it gives it even more credibility. Wow, they sure played us. That would also explain why Fred looks like he does not want to be in the race. Perhaps he doesn't. Maybe he even overplayed his disillusionment to make sure that he didn't steal from McShame (remember he was actually LEADING before he entered the race).
Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.

    See you at the signing!!

The best way to defeat McCain is to continually bombard him with very SPECIFIC illegal immigration questions.
