I thought for a minute today the Austin American had come to their senses. On page 23 there was an article about how we should look at what happened to the Germans with their guest worker program. Evidently the Germans had a guest worker program in the 60's which allowed Turks to work in Germany. The article said that there are now millions of Turks in Germany now, who are marginal people who do not assimilate. I initially thought ALRIGHT>>>>>>>Then I read on and found their point was that the Germans did not give these poor Turks a path to citizenship. Some things never change. Preachingtothechoir, and bornbredhere, I am so glad to have you here standing tall with us. I am Native American and I can't think of 2 many good leaders we have either! You both sound like you could be good leaders for your people in your own right. I think Mr. King was a leader to all of us not just the balck race. he was a man with a vision ahead of his times and we all lost the day he was brought down by an idiot with a gun. I don't know it seems that the best of us that are needed so bad are always killed. I ask both of you to please go out to your people and beg them to join us here at ALIPAC in our fight to save our nation for all of our races, let them know that yes, there is something they can do to help stem the tide. We need to hear from more Afro Americans, how this is affecting them and we need them mad as hell and ready to fight. It is going to take all of us to win this, and with your help we can take the sting out of this racist thing the illegals are throwing around every chance they get. I can think of one excellent leader you have and that is Wade Hayes, he made such an impression on me after seeing him on the Sean Hannity show, I believe he is also a volunteer minuteman. Anyway, please go out and get your friends and their friends help us turn this racist thing right back at them because I believe that is their strongest ammunition in this fight right now, if they did not have that issue they would be hard put to have anything else!

You know, I take a lot of surveys that ask about race or nationality. Any of them that have the option "other" is the one I check and I type in the word American. What the hell difference does it make what color people are when it comes to getting our jobs taken away, given away and abolished? Americans are Americans. Period.

I check this board and email information I obtain to all friends, coworkers, etc. I agree too many Blacks are shying away from OUR RESPONSIBILTY AS AMERICANS. I can only hope nobody listens to Jackson and Sharpton other than the ignorant media who continue to acknowledge their self-serving proclamations as "Black Leaders". I will continue to check this board daily and pass along all information with regard to boycotts, marches, etc.

I live in the south suburbs of Chicago and as you all know Chicago Politicians are pro-illegal and the police force has a history of non-enforcement, political corruption and torturing Black people. As a woman (single parent) I am wondering how to proceed with getting the word out without risking bodily harm/arrested and /or leaving my child with no one to care for him.

I find it amazing how passive white Americans are in the face of certain ethnic extinction. This is exactly where America is headed. I can assure you no Latin American country would allow another non native ethnic group especially whites to become anywhere near the majority of that country. It is the total intention of all these illegals to change the culture of America to suit them and not the rest of the other ethnic groups in America. Its all or nothing.

If this country gives amnesty to 20 million illegals they might as well give reparations to descendents of slaves.

I don't even support reparations, so i sure in heck ain't gonna support amnesty.

I try to tell African Americans how illegal immigration is harmful to minorities, and especially to low-income, low skilled workers.
I also continuously inform people how the onslaught of illegals will affect low-skilled citizen workers and trickle down to the middle class blue collar and white collar workers.

I've begun sending people to ALIPAC, and encouraging them to write, call, fax, and email politicians.

I am constantly amazed at the complete lack of concern by our leaders over the fact that the middle class is disappearing and the gap between the "haves" and "have nots" continues to grow. The poor can't get a break because illegal workers keep wages low. Many middle class and white collar jobs have been out-sourced, and of those that are left, employers are doing everything they can to convince Congress that they need unlimited access to cheap, skilled legal workers from overseas, who of course will work for less. All American workers should be concerned about their future with a President and Congress who are marching us straight into a North American Union.

I recently read that there is something of a job crunch here in Austin, but nobody here is alarmed about the #'s of illegals
