Personally, I believe the original concept of Halloween is more atune to Islam in they they both celebrate death and/or dieing (for god or satan) and are anti-christian in one way or another. So why would moslems need to be anti-halloween? It's obvious they just want to flaunt their supposed authority, towit use our own pc weakness against us. If this ruling stands, there is very little time until the United States will become like England already has. Brace yourselves!

USA HAS CELEBRATED CHRISTMAS SINCE ITS BIRTH. IT IS A NATIONAL TRADITION. CHRISTMAS IS OUR WINTER BREAK HOLIDAY THAT BRINGS FAMILIES TOGETHER. SOMETIMES THIS IS THE ONLY TIME OF YEAR THAT FAMILIES ARE ABLE TO SEE EACH OTHER AS THEY LIVE MILE APART.

WE SHOULD CONTINUE TO HAVE CHRISTMAS. ANYONE WHO HAS A PROBIE WITH THAT SHOULD NOT COME HERE. THEY SHOULD GO TO A COUNTRY WHOSE CUSTOMS THEY AGREE WITH. I DONT THINK MUSLIMS CAN BE HAPPY IN USA AS OUR CULTURES ARE SO DIFFERENT. THEY SHOULD GO TO ARAB COUNTRIES. AND USA SHOULD CONTINUE HER TRADITIONS AS SHE ALWAYS HAS.

IN FACT I DONT THINK WE SHOULD LET ANYONE IMMIGRATE HERE FROM CULTURES THAT CLASH WITH OUR OWN. IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE

Too much accomodation and not enough assimilation. It just keeps getting worse.

The old saying goes, "If you don't like what you see on TV, change the channel or turn it off".

"Elizabeth Zahdan, a mother of three District 122 students, says she took her concerns to the school board this month, not because she wanted to do away with the traditions, but rather to make them more inclusive."

What a whack job, and the problem is they are listening to her!

The fun stuff that kids always look forward to every year worries her that it excludes Muslims. Guess what Elizabeth, the Muzzie parents could include their kids if they wanted to. Bring Jello back too.

This must be some more of that assimilation that we've been forced to to abide by.

Pretty soon the America they all came to because it was so nice and such a great thing to be a part of will be no more.

What exactly is Jell-O made from?

If you've ever eaten in a cafeteria, chances are good that your dessert options included Jell-O. There are hundreds of different desserts that use Jell-O to create everything from your basic institutional-style gelatin square to ornate designs that incorporate varied Jell-O flavors, fruit, and whipped toppings. Jell-O consists of four basic ingredients:

    gelatin
    water
sugar or artificial sweetener and artificial flavors
    food coloring

The gelatin in Jell-O is what lets you transform it into all sorts of different shapes. What exactly is gelatin? Gelatin is just a processed version of a structural protein called collagen that is found in many animals, including humans. Collagen actually makes up almost a third of all the protein in the human body. It is a big, fibrous molecule that makes skin, bones, and tendons both strong and somewhat elastic. As you get older, your body makes less collagen, and individual collagen fibers become crosslinked with each other. You might experience this as stiff joints (from less flexible tendons) or wrinkles (from loss of skin elasticity).

The gelatin you eat in Jell-O comes from the collagen in cow or pig bones, hooves, and connective tissues. To make gelatin, manufacturers grind up these various parts and pre-treat them with either a strong acid or a strong base to break down cellular structures and release proteins like collagen. After pre-treatment, the resulting mixture is boiled. During this process, the large collagen protein ends up being partially broken down, and the resulting product is called gelatin. The gelatin is easily extracted because it forms a layer on the surface of the boiling mixture.

Gelatin is a common ingredient in foods because it is so versatile. It can be used as a gelling agent (as in Jell-O), as a thickener, an emulsifier, and a stabilizer. You'll find it in a variety of foods, from yogurt to chewing gum. Here is a list of some other foods that commonly contain gelatin:

    gummy bears
    sour cream
    cream cheese
    cake icing and frosting
    marshmallows
    soups, sauces and gravies
    canned ham and chicken
    corned beef
    sausage

Thanks for the info, Skip. But it was a rhetorical question. I realize Jello is made from the collagen in animal bones.

Someone can't eat jell-o but they can call for jihad and murder people. Let's not make accommodations for nutcases and enemies. They came here for the good life I believe. But their life can only be good if it means ours is bad (or non-existant?). Correct any errors in my assessment.
