Just A Reminder: Donald Trump Is A Liberal

Billionaire and reality television star (who ever thought those two would go together?) Donald Trump has been making a lot of headlines of late with talk of a potential Presidential bid as a Republican in 2012. He’s caused a stir with his demands to see President Obama’s birth certificate, and it seems as though people are taking him seriously. An NBC/WSJ poll of potential 2012 candidates has Trump tied with Mike Huckabee for second behind Mitt Romney.

Trump/Huckabee have 17% to Romney’s 21%.

But before anyone gets too excited about President Donald, let’s take a good hard look at what his past political contributions tell us about where he really stands politically. Poll Insider did some digging, and came up with a laundry list of contributions that aren’t going to sit well with conservatives:

Charlie Rangel (D-NY): 2006 – $10,000 Yes, he of corruption, tax evasion, and mass liberalism

Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) $12,000 Total, $2,000 in 2006 Re-election

Harry Reid: Donated $4,800 in 2010 to Reid to defeat Sharon Angle. $10,400 to Reid overall

Chuck Schumer: Donated $4,000 during 2010 Election Cycle

Kirsten Gillibrand: $5,800 over past 2 cycles

Ted Kennedy: $7,000

John Kerry $5,500 ($2,000 in 2004 Pres race, which he also gave Bush $2,000. How bi-partisan!)

Democratic Senatorial Committee: $116,000 (versus $30K to GOP equivalent)

Going further, Trump is pro-abortion writing in his book published in 2000 “I support a woman’s right to choose, but I am uncomfortable with the procedures.â€

Mark Levin, Conservative radio talk show host, pointed out today that Donald Trump has made more than $65,000 in political contributions to Democratic candidates than Republican candidates in the past. While Trump is considering a bid for the Presidency in 2012, this might raise some eyebrows of many Republican primary voters as to why Donald Trump has supported many Liberal candidates. Donald Trump has also come out in full force as this wonderful Conservative guy, who “will make America great again.â€

Very wealthy people play politics to meet their own desired ends. Loyalty to anything other than their interests is imaginary or projected illusions.

There is money to be made or secured on both sides of the fence. Only a idiot billionaire would gather or secure his eggs all in one basket.

Party loyalties are manufactured and hyped for the little people, the masses. Just like baseball teams.

I don't get your point because most of Trumps donations have been to liberal, not conservatives, which means he is placing most of his eggs in one basket. Furthermore, you can't deny that conservative policies are typically more beneficial to business investors. Some of Trumps donations have been to liberals who rate to the extreme left. With that said, I won't deny that Trump has friends on the right, however, it seems like most of them are RINO's, not true conservatives.

Just to name a few more billionaire businessmen, the same can be said for Warren Buffet, George Soros, and Peter Lewis. They too seem to go opposite of what you're saying and put most of their eggs in the same basket, the liberal basket.

I think there is plenty of evidence to prove that most billionairs who donate politically do so based on their true beliefs.

Well until I see someone with a real chance of winning who has already taken a strong stance and record for doing what I think should be done I'll stick with Trump. Its not that I think he's super great but show me someone else who has a realistic chance of competing AND winning. Right now most really stand no chance who stand up for our ideals because they are to unknown and split votes to much between those who could put a strong candidate in office.

I also am hesitant to trust ANY politician as those who've been in politics just about all play the game and I think NONE of them have the balls to do what needs to be done if we're to actually reverse the situation we're in.

Lastly personally draw it down the original line and I tend to side a bit more liberal myself and also many Republican politicians have been extremely rude to people like myself in the past. But keep in mind there is a difference between liberal democrat Americans and the liberal socialist progressive party the DNC now supports.

1. I support Unions fighting for worker rights. But not Unions controlling workers rights or forcing Unionization.

2. I support pro choice not because I like abortions but its not my place to tell others what to do with their body. But I don't support taxpayer funds for such.

3. I support free education (k-12) for American Citizens (not foreigners or illegal aliens).

4. I support a welfare system (that helps people improve themselves and get to work... not provide for them for life).

5. I support a form of socialized healthcare such as Britain or Canada has for US Citizens who are working of have a real disability. This would mean however all hospitals and such are government ran with few private hospitals working only for private insurance or cash payers. (bit hazy on my current stand on this these days though). Anyways the system can't work as it currently is... it can't afford a public payer with private prices and care.

7. I support the rich having to pay a higher percentage of taxes then the poor and middle working class. However this can be done by the FairTax and simply tax based off consumption/expenditure.

8. I support free trade.... when its actually equal and fair. However right now that would rule out 90% of the world basically 99% of the Non Western World plus Japan.

9. I support foreign aid to our friends and in severe emergencies.... but basically 95% of the world really isn't our friend.

10. I support freedom of religion at home and religion not being allowed in public spaces pushed by the city/state/feds.

So yah I'm told I'm a liberal.... but def don't support where the DNC has gone in their treasonous methods. But I've still at times not knowing every stance of a politician as most lie or cover up their real agenda... I've hence supported some liberals who now I classify as bad. But often the alternative was a nutcase far right republican who didn't support my agenda either and often tried to shove religion down my throat.

Guess my point is show me a good candidate who can stick to their guns and do the hard choices that need to be forced. Till then I see Trump as not a politician but just another American like myself forced between 2 bad candidates having to choose the one that supports me just a tiny bit.

I think this is just my opion.I dont think he will run,right now he is talking a big game but i dont think he wont run.If you listen to him speak he has got the TV.deal with his shows.If he commits on running he has to give up his TV.contract.I think he will stay with the sure thing he alresdy has instead of taking a chance to loose a political race.I been watching him talk on interveiws and thats just what im feeling about it.Remember he has done this before and didnt run.
