="USPatriot"]Kathy I am an Independent too so I changed my voter Registration to Republican BEFORE the Primaries and will now change it back to Indy . I agree it is unfair we are left out IF we donot belong to one party or the other during primaries and have complained loudly about this but no one seems to be listening .

They won't listen either because both parties like it that way....They are very afraid of a not having a two party system, but in the end what they will do is create another party if it isn't changed....They are denying me my rights and eventually it will be challenged.

I could not belong to either one of them to me there is no difference between them...One borrows and spends the other taxes and spends and it is all at our expense and they all lie about it...and......they are all in bed together. It is all about control of the political system.

No way those days ended a long time ago for me and I am not the only one that feels that way...There are more independents in this Country more than any other party and it is growing. That is a lot of people to be denied the right to vote....

I totally agree and I hope the voter Registration office in FL get sick and tired of changing the Indies registration back and forth every voting season.

The time is ripe for a 3rd. party so if the Repubs donot deliverer it will happen. I hope the Repubs have listened and maybe they have , especially the Tea Party candidates.........Time will tell..... If not 2012....

Tark was clearly the better choice in terms of beathing Reid

Angle really wasn't the ditz they made her out to be though.

She was intelligent and articulate and only blew one question in the debate

My dollar will stay with me. I gave up TV 25 yrs ago, McDonalds about a year ago, Chiquita,...as of today, and to add Vegas as a no spend zone should not be so hard.

Perhaps some light on the plight of the northern Nevada ranchers and farmers and their battle to keep Vegas from stealing more of their water rights.? Cannot remember just what valley.

Sorry to all the good folks who live in Nevada, with Hispanics being only 26% of the State Population it took more than Hispanic votes to get Harry Reid re-elected. Apparently quite a few American residents of Nevada felt that 15% unemployment was good for their State. With all the Harry Reid has done for Nevada including 15% unemployment, Reid should have been voted out by at minimum, 75% of the people in Nevada. I have no doubt there was some voter fraud, but it should have never been this close to make a difference. If the people of Nevada think Reid is good for the state then you guys deal with him. Shame on Nevada for allowing this good for nothing 24 year, career politician to be re-elected.

Roundabout.....That is fine the traffic here is unreal anyways and a whole dollar won't mean to much to our economy.... As far as giving up things that will come soon enough. The way things are going in this Country not just in Nevada, lots of people won't be enjoying themselves very much in the future.

The power brokers got Reid in do you think he will work for the rural area against his big business buddies in the water rights issue in White Pine County, Armagosa Valley or any where else ??????...Money talks bull---t walks....

But why your so interested in the plight is beyond me since you don't live here or plan on visiting, but here is some information for you. I am sure you can do a search on your own about the water fight.

Water Fight Of The Century, Part 3

    By Nathan Taylor | September 2, 2009

This is my final installment (For Now) of my story on the proposed SNWA water pipeline through rural Nevada. While I was contemplating this final piece, I thought a lot about my own thoughts on the growth of Las Vegas.

I was born in Las Vegas in 1975–the population then was less than 200,000. When we look at today’s population in 2009 of over 2 million people county-wide–it should blow anyone’s mind just to see these numbers-! I’ve personally watched 4 hotel casinos demolished/imploded, I watch the first shovel go into the ground in the area now known as Summerlin, I saw Las Vegas go from having 12 high schools to now over 40, and that doesn’t include private schools. In fact, I’ve seen so much change in Las Vegas since being born here that I could list pages just on those experiences alone.

So today, we see a city that grew too fast, infrastructure that couldn’t keep up with the pace of development, and a shortage of natural and artificial resources. How do we solve the problems we now face? There are a variety of opinions on these matters by various elected officials, community leaders, and government officials. I’ve yet to find one person who has the answers to all of our problems in the Las Vegas valley–however, I do believe that a collaborative effort could reap some valuable and sensible results.

The final question that Mr. Hank Vogler answered for me was this: The Southern Nevada Water Authority has said that this pipeline is crucial to the future of Southern Nevada–do you believe this statement to be true? If not, then why is it being sold to Las Vegas residents that we MUST have this to sustain future growth?

Mr. Vogler responded by saying, “My first thought is that the yield of these valleys will be so low that there has to be another reason to scare people in Las Vegas. I would look at Coyote Springs more as the reason why the pipeline is being built. Why would a developer, wanting to build an oasis in the desert with all those golf courses and homes and infrastructure, sell half his water rights to SNWA for $25 million dollars? I doubt that Coyote Springs with all its water rights in tact could be enough to build the entire development. Las Vegas needs water and the long-term solution is going to be desalinization. Without the pipeline. No Coyote Springs. Now tell me again with a straight face, who needs the pipeline more? Coyote Springs? Or Las Vegas? Long-term sustainable growth in Las Vegas will be served better by the Pacific Ocean than destroying the sixteen rural counties of Nevada. The sixteen rural counties of Nevada do not have enough water to handle the growth of Reno and Las Vegas. We have the ability to alter rural Nevada forever. Not sure that history will speak kindly of the perpetrators.â€

And they would if the wages were not artificially depressed by illegal aliens. Illegal labor, outsourcing, and other corporate methods of wage depression have resulted in poverty wages for working class jobs. Food stamps, welfare, etc are nothing more than elite methods for keeping this very system intact. All the while generating anger and division among the population over social welfare itself. Its a diversion. A very effective one.

Just like obomba was elected because the only other choice was McCain ,

The Reid machine had spent millions making Angle out to be some monster that was going to throw babies and old folks into dealth camps , line up and execute hispanics , and do away with the liberal education camps (schools)

The trouble was that Angle did not have enough live face time

They voted for the evil they knew , not the one Harry was making outrageous lies about.

In 2 years we will have the chance to reduce this worm to the non entity he is if we can take back the senate

FYI (I read this in USA Today, this morning):

Nevada has the highest unemployment rate in the nation. Over 14%.

Las Vegas has the highest rate of home foreclosures of any major city in the U.S. It's not even much of a contest.

Nevada, which up until 2006 was an enormous population boom state, is expected to lose 70,000 residents (about 2% of its population) this coming year.
