And you have a great point about jackpot babies. Of course, these days, we have no clue if they were conceived (made) in America or just happened to pop out here.
The made in America label may not mean that all components of any product are manufactured here. These days it means that many of those raw materials and components arrived here by container, were trucked to an assembly plant where American workers put the parts together.

I HATE it too and throw many an article when I see the tag regarding
country of origin. Its made me much more selective and more discriminating
which leaves lots of $$ in my possession.

Shop at Goodwills. You can be assured none of your money goes off
shore to support countries that loathe us.

Unfortunately you are right, but we gotta do what we can do and its a
start.

Also if you make a habit of informing the manager of the store how pleased you are to be able to purchase American produced goods, or how much
more money you would have spent in the store if everything wasnt from
China!!!! Do it. Money talks, especially when they see it walking out the
door.

Its only free to the countries that flood our ports with junk made by near
slave labor. The original chant was that it would raise the standard of living
in other countries thereby creating demand for US made goods. Problem
is, nothing is made here anymore so nothing (much) is sold to these
golden markets and we are the losers. Big time!
