MW, I'm sure you realize that patience is a virtue. I commend you efforts to educate nntrixie and I commend her as well for having an open mind. With regards to Mexico and China, Duncan Hunter will give us the best of both worlds.

    DUNCAN IS THE MAN!!

    Rockfish,

I agree with you 100% on China. We are funding our own destruction with these people by continuing to allow our marketplace to be flooded with their cheap goods. In turn, China is using the proceeds to amass a huge military that no doubt may be use against us (probably Korea first).

I guess this is what they call globalism. But why is this country always on the losing end of the bargain. Our politicians have to get it through their heads that it is not the repsonsibility of the United States to subsidize every country on the planet.

Duncan Hunter is the no-nonsense sort of guy we need sitting in the White House right now. I'm convinced he will not sit by idly while our sovereignty is sold out from beneath us.

Their first military move would probably be against Taiwan. If that were to happen, we would definitely be forced into a war. A war that would have a devastating effect on all involved. If China does get up the nerve to move on Taiwan, there will be no denying that the military build-up they've accomplished with our trade dollars over the years will be responsible for giving them the confidence to do so. In essence, our idiotic trade policies could eventually cause the greatest loss to American life since the Civil War. It's important that we deal with China now, not 10-15 years from now. Hunter has the right idea - let's stop funding the Chinese military expansion and the providing of military technologies before it's too late!

mw I actually had not read that before regarding Hunter - except the part of scrapping NAFTA and CAFTA - which has nothing to do with China. Well, until we build that big highway for China to use from Mexico.

Thanks, Rockfish, I don't need patience - just respect.

When I ask a question, it's because I want to know. It really doesn't matter if it has been posted a thousand times, if I didn't see it - I didn't see it and don't need to get 'gee whiz, dont' you pay attention'. Either answer or don't - depending on what you want to do. I am old - but not yet totally senile.

I make up my mind about a candidate based on what I know about them, and their stand on issues. No one else can influence my vote - one way or the other. I will say, though, that the 'gee whiz,' type posts might turn off another perspective voter. It just doesn't seem like the way to win votes for Mr. Hunter.

Hunter is my #2 choice - still is - and I would like to see him remain viable and have everyone consider his positions.

Trust me, I'm certainly not attempting to sway your vote. I gave that up a long time ago. Furthermore, using me as an excuse to be turned off to Hunter is a little beyond ridiculous, don't you think? Perhaps you may want to consider judging individuals based on their own documented merits, not what others have to say about them. For example, I made my judgement of Paul based on his writings, interviews, speeches, and voting record - not what others have had to say about him.

Well I commend these people for finally taking a stand on anything, maybe if both countrys citizens started yelling together we could change things. NAFTA, and the North American Union is a disaster for both country's, and at the same time they need to respect our sovernignty, this works two ways.

I also am sick of hearing about the cheap goods we are suppose to be getting...helllooo, just the other day I went to buy green onions that not to long ago were 4 bunches for $1.00 now 2 bunches for 1.99 we are being ripped off. I wonder what those same onions being shipped to another country are going for, how much do you want to be 25cents a bunch.

Well the fruit and veggies are spoiling on the selves in my store and will continue to at those prices....refuse to buy everyone!

Again, you put your own spin on my post - why?
It wasn't about me - I am already a potential voter for Mr. Hunter.
That doesn't mean I will stop asking questions about him.

sosadforus That is the way it is here in Texas. It has been for a couple of years. The veggies just sit there and become wilted and nasty looking because the prices are so high. YOu know also some stores once bagged up the 'over the hill' veggies and fruit and sold them at a discount - I don't see that anymore. Not sure why.

Milk is over $5 a gallon here in Central Texas. Eggs jumped by about 40% right after Christmas.

Thank goodness we have 2 full freezers and some jars of food and planting time is only about 2 1/2 months away here.

Alot of Mexicans lost their farms because of NAFTA. Farming had been in their families for generations. They should be angry as hell.

BUT IT SEEMS THAT NAFTA WAS GOOD TO THE INVESTORS, AND THAT IS ALL THAT THESE PIGS CARE ABOUT, NOT THE PEOPLE ON EITHER SIDE OF THE BORDER.
RIP Butterbean! We miss you and hope you are well in heaven.-- Your ALIPAC friends

butterbean That's a fact. It's all about money for the big guys - it's just more apparent in Mexico than it is here - but the picture is becoming clearer everyday here as well.

[/b]sosadforus I am going to try to quit being scammed. Our goal this month is to eat only from our existing stock - except for maybe milk and coffee - but we might be able to accomplish that also.
