Mexican gov't slams Arizona immigration law
Mexican government: Arizona immigration law could affect relations with state

    Buzz up! 23 Print..Topics:Legal / Law Matters.On Wednesday April 21, 2010, 4:52 pm EDT
MEXICO CITY (AP) -- The Mexican government criticized Wednesday a tough immigration law approved this week by Arizona legislators, saying it could result in rights violations and racial profiling and affect cross-border relations.

Mexico's Foreign Relations Department said in a statement relayed through Mexico's U.S. embassy that it viewed the measure with great concern and said it "could have potentially serious effects on the civil rights" of Mexican nationals.

"Mexico views with concern the possible negative effects the measure could have, if approved, on the development of the ties of friendship, culture, commerce and tourism that have characterized Mexico's relations with Arizona for generations," according to the statement.

The law has been approved by the Arizona legislators and is awaiting consideration by Gov. Jan Brewer. The measures makes it a state crime for migrants to be in Arizona without documents.

Mexico also said the bill "opens the door to the inappropriate use of racial profiling."

An estimated 11.8 million Mexicans live in the United States. A large percentage are undocumented, and Arizona has been one of the main routes for undocumented migration into the United States.

If you compare it with Mexico's immigration laws it is still milder.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

Concerned about the "civil rights of Mexicans"!!! Since when does a country get the right to dump millions of people on another one, in a non-emergency situation, and then holler about their civil rights?

Mexico is more concerned about the possibility that the illegals might return to their land. Mexico doesn't want them.

Oh Yeah? Well, the citizens of the United States view with concern the negative effects of illegal immigration over the last 50 years and we are very glad the gateway state of Arizona has recognized it's position of vulnerability next to your corrupt country and is taking steps to control the flood of your nationals where they shouldn't be.

I remember how Senator Arlen Specter included in that last attempt at amnesty, words that stated that the United States would have to consult with Mexico, before we built a fence.

No, thank you. We want secured borders, and any laws enforced.

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

So that's what you call millions of your uninvited, invading hordes into our country! Many Americans view that with great concern, which you do not seem to acknowledge.

It sounds like a forced invasion of illegals, by both the mexican Government, and the Drug Cartels. Mexico is literally telling Uncle Sam what to do, while B.O. is busy saying "Yes We Can", English for "si se puede", in Los Angeles. The U.S. is basically saying come on in and take us over. How yellow!

Why is it their government feels so free to criticize our country, be it Arizona or whatever, but our government never criticizes them? It's as if they say 'jump' and we're suppose to say 'how high?'

Fix your own country so your people can stay 'home' instead of illegally entering ours!
