Iam new, hello all! I heard about this site from saveourstate.com!

I support the MMP and i wish them all the success in their pursuit of doing what they are going to do. I only wish i was able to do what so many are going to do.

Someone stated that they where worried about an international incident and I don’t see how they could effect anything that is going on down their in regards to the MMP.

The only thing i could see and i have read is that Mexican president has indicated that he is going to talk to Bush and also file a compliant to the World Court, but what are they going to do? They are as much of a joke as the ICC (international criminal court). Even if they find against the MMP they can’t do a thing, it is protected by 1st amendment in the US Constitution, which the world sees as not supreme over the US, they believe that the World Court and the ICC are the supreme law! Yeah right! We don’t recognize the World Court because of their belief that their laws supercede national laws and our constitution!

I do hope that something big happens after this project on the border happens. I hope that it lets the federal government that we the American people are tired of this and something needs to be done.

By the way, great site and forums.

    Thanks for all the feedback!

Opinions about there being a ton of police watching and everyone being on their best behavior partialy reinforces the idea of mine that even the enemy may be on their best behavior.

We hear about MS-13 issuing threats and such, but it all may be crap.

The real message from MS-13 might be this:

"Pssst, we got a pretty good business thing going on here, smuggling tons of dope and millions of slaves, so let's just cut things back to minimum in the sector, and let those dumb crackers play army. Then when they go home, we (MS-13, and the U.S. government) will happily return to business as usual."

Pardon my pessimism, but if MS-13 wants to teach the Minutemen a violent lesson, and probably get away with it, without Law enforcement confrontation, they should.............. Nah, I don't want to give them any ideas.

    ------------------------------------
I hope Mexico goes to a World court, and tries to get sanctions against the U.S. or the Minutemen.

I want America to see Prez. Fox on T.V. every night, trying to dictate U.S. policy through a world court.

If the U.N. or the world court tries to dictate to America on this issue, I want them to do it loudly and shrill-ly. None of those sneaky, behind-the-scenes, bureaucratic, power grabs.

I want America to resent the U.N. and the World court. Maybe this issue could destroy those dangerous institutions.

    More later....

The main concern for the Minuteman project is the safety of the volunteers. If for any reason the safety of a volunteer comes up and a true threat is deemed, the Minuteman Project will pull back and regroup. I have no problem standing up and saying, “Time to stop….. The carrying of firearms is based on the Laws of Arizona. We would ask that if you have an Arizona CCW permit or a CCW permit that is recognized by Arizona that you carry your weapon concealed. Although it is an open carry state, my feelings and my statistics show that maybe 12% to 15% of the volunteers will be carrying weapons. The use of Long rifles is, as was stated above, not part of the Minuteman project plan. Long rifles give the appearance of overbearing, vigilantes (even though vigilantly means protector, but not to the media) that are out to cause problems. We plan on not having anyone cross the border illegally the month of April. If someone is seen crossing the border it will be very suspicious to me, seeing how everyone knows were we are going to be and what we will be doing. It is like this, you don’t rob a bank when there is a police convention in the parking lot. We have regrouped and changed some plans of operation for the month. This will help us keep a safer environment for everyone involved and will be more of an asset to the project. I want to again thank you all for your support in this project.

It would seem to me Mr. Hepplers' position is excellent. The illegal immigrants are NOT being portrayed as rough and tough.. but merely the little guy coming up to work. No one asks why the little guy from Mexico cannot work in Mexico of course, but a lot businesses want that cheap labor... slave labor in many respects. In fact, Mexico is rather wealthy in this world. Not as wealthy as the United States, but the illegal aliens coming up represent the failure of a corrupt government that doesn't want to change. Opening page on this web site tells us how much Mexico is making off of these 'little' guys who are, actually, the product of a corrupt government in Mexico City.

Open Borders are excellent for Texas. But the business that is going on with open borders is not always above board or on the table. And so, I believe the Minute Men are doing what needs to be done: bringing a LOT of attention to the border. And if the Minute Men do not have the weapons, and do not posture as vigilantes, the Minuteman project wins.

A caller that is attending the MMP called in on the George Putnam show today. I put in a good word for MMP and called the ACLU the MCLU (Mexican Civil Liberties Union) and pointed out that it was ridiculous that they were more concerned about the protection of illegal aliens breaking our laws than our legal citizens exercising their 1st and 2nd amen rights. I let em have it.

Actually, I have a contrarian viewpoint.

I think the the government is incredibly concerned that a violent incident may occur at the border. Such an incident might prove to be a flash point and a major catalyst for a populist uprising in this country.

I think the recent reports that MS 13 would attack MM volunteers and the subsequent nationwide roundup of these individuals emphasizes the concern our government has about the status quo being upset.

The overwhelming majority of Americans are fed up with illegal immigration. And I am convinced that the majority of Americans support the MMP. If something out of the ordinary occurs, I believe the American people will place the MMP in a sympathetic light.

    Just my take.

    You are too kind.

By the way, I am going to do my best to make it out to Vegas for the Summit. I read today that you are coming out this way and I haven't been to Vegas in several years.
