Although many people are priding themselves on "waking up the President" with their threats of impeachment, even if you get a million signatures, do you realize what a small percentage of the population that is? Wow! I bet he is trembling.

    Nicholas and others from Florida,

We really have no one who listens...
Rep CW Young comes close but I do not think he
    listens.

I voted for Max Linn for Gov....I am thinking about going to
his office and begging him to help Tancredo or teach me
how to help. Linn is staunch on securing the border.

Florida is in a financial housing crisis right now, so I
believe that is all they care about. Martinez cares about
nothing and listens to nothing. The responses I get back
are not even on the issue I wrote to him about.

You are right about Florida. If there is anyone listening in this state I have yet to find them. You are also correct that all they seem to be interested in now is the housing problems.

How do you like their latest on the homeowners insurance? Rates have gone up 200% to 400% and we will likely see a 5% decrease due to their special legislative session. What a waste!

Next they are going to tackle property taxes,

Crocket, Anniealone, April I think what you all have said is so right, so true and so important.

Personally, I sincerely think that it is President Bush who we must focus in on at this late stage. He is the one who will sign this bill or not.

With the exception of a few Democrats who have the courage to stand up for what is right for this country....most of them will flock together just to empower their party.

We know the Republicans are not as afraid to break ranks among themselves and will tend to stand up for what they believe to be better for the country even if they must disagree with the leader of their own party.......they will do it.

And I dare say in spite of the strong opposition that I may get, that I do not believe that President Bush is entirely for the idea of granting citizenship to those who have entered illegally. I mentioned this the other night and someone else agreed with me. (I think it might have been MW).

He wants a Guest Worker Program, that's mainly what he wants, but he has been moving in a general direction away from the idea of a path to citizenship. I admit it's a hard thing to see....but there is a little evidence of this.

I wouldn't write him off entirely. You can bet that the illegals and open border lobby will be focusing in on his sympathies. If we write him off we will leave him wide open.

I vote that we focus in on him right now with emails and phone calls filled with the facts and all of the important reasons why he needs to stand on the side of the law and to support those who believe in maintaining upholding the rule of law in our country.

And I would be darn nice about it!! I do not think that this is a time when we should be insulting he who holds the pen.

We need to put our best foot forward. We can do it and we can win, if we stop complaining, focus in and do what we must do.

I sincerely believe this to be the truth. I know that people are angry and upset.

This is the way I see it: Thinking that President Bush is so stubborn that it's useless to try to get him to understand our reasoning is going to be a big mistake for us. Thinking that we are going to scare him into submission through name calling and threats of impeachment is going to end in failure for us.

I think we need to join together and send the emails and send a lot of them.
    End of my opinion.

P.S. April, I know you believe in the Impeachment path. A lot the of the people fighting for Impeachment are people who do not stand with us on fighting illegal immigration. Many of those people actually want open borders and amnsesty!!

If you think that you could leave it up to them for awhile, and if you think that you could send some emails to President Bush it would be a great help. But only if you want to.

If we try the best that we can and don't succeed, you can always return to your apparent calling!!

Thanks USLEGALCITIZEN, I think we should focus on several avenues not just one or two in order to help do what must be done. I am doing that on several levels. IMO attacking each other for the way we decide to stand against corruption is not doing anything except wasting time.

I agree with you that our strategy needs to include many tactics, which is how most of us have approached this all along I believe. IMO, focusing on impeachment is a waste of time, but that isn't an attack on you at all. It is just my feeling that I will use my time in ways that I feel are more productive. Debate is healthy. I have changed my mind on one or two things because of posts that people have made here. That doesn't mean I don't have courage of my convictions, just that I was open to another perpsective. A different opinion isn't a personal attack. It's just an opinion, no?

April, I don't see that sharing my opinion or idea about a new approach as being an attack. I'm sorry that you see it that way. I wrote you a special message below my post which was meant to express to you that I understand your belief that working on Impeachment is important to you, but that I'd like to introduce what some might agree could be another approach.

You don't have to agree with it. There are times that I come down hard on President Bush and express a lot of anger. Im just as upset and angry as everyone else.

I just happened to notice that for every minute we spend trying to discredit him and bring him down, we might have spent the time sending him an email which supports our stand, that's all. There is little to zero chance that he will come here and read ALL of our mostly legitimate critisism or that he will be shown posts where people call him the anti-Christ or Hitler. (That doesn't happen too much here anyway)

But there is at least a chance that emails written in a way that is usually considered to be the proper way to discuss something with a president has a chance of being read by him and could give him a chance to understand the problem as we see it.

I do appreciate people like Tom Tancredo, and Representative Rohrbacher and Lou Dobbs when they come speak out with strong and very harsh words. They are in a position to get his attention using that tactic or approach. I think that is important and we all know how much they have helped our urgent concerns to be heard.

Please don't think that people who are trying to put new ideas and approaches, or bring back ideas that have been tried but didn't work in the past, but might work in the present as attacking someone.

All you have to do is say, "I disagree, I think this approach is better."

We are all angry, we've all feel the same pain and we all have the same concerns about what will happen. We all hope for basically the same outcome.

If your impeachment work is what you believe to be the best thing that you can do for our country, then by all means continue it. As I supported you the other day, I said although I don't choose to work on that, I said that I thought it was possible that it is something that he is being forced to think about. Whether it is a true possibilty or just an idle threat....I do not know.

Keep looking for possible answers....I think that is all any of us are really trying to do. Thanks for being here, American Sister and for trying to help our country!

No LegalUS, I was not saying you were attacking me, I wrote that before I read your second post.

Thanks for your input. I just think we are all Americans and we can each choose how we want to fight corruption. I do not feel anyone except God truly knows what will or will not work in any given situation ,so when I am told over and over what will not work, when in my heart I know what I am doing is right for me ,it justs gets old. Once again, I respect everyones right to stand up in the way they think is right and I will continue to stand up in the way that is best for me .

I think another important reason to maintain this type of attitude is so none of the new people in Alipac will feel Alienated and everyone can feel good about how they choose to stand up against the corruption and invasion.

Thanks again LEGALUS for your understanding!
