What we need if we want to organize something of this magnitude, is a group of at least THREE people if not more, to agree to opening up a bank account where donations and funding could be sent. I've lived long enough to know that you don't want to donate money to someone who has a bank account set up where one person is able to spend the funds. A requirement is to ensure there is accountability by a GROUP of people to ensure the donated funds aren't sqandored.

You know, I've been very willing to pay for a high-bandwidth hosting provider and coordinate such a million-man/woman march at the Capitol in D.C. for quite some time! But I've never been able to get enough INITIAL folks to help fund such an effort.

It amazes me how the illegal immigration marches were so very well funded by socialist groups who are aganst our free country, while all I've ever been able to locate was a group of LESS than 200 people at any given time who would spend for OUR cause.

There is the matter of permits to march in D.C. Permits must be obtained for a given area upon where to march. The mall would be an excellent place. Get used to the fact that protestors aren't allowed within a specified distance of the White House and other federal buildings. After all, we are living in a post-911 nation. However, media can be "bought" with some funds to cover the events if they won't do so willingly.

If you all can find me at least 1,000 deep-pocketed financiers who would go with this, as well as three VERIFIABLY responsible folks who will work with me in setting up a bank account to accept donations... AND a handful of folks who have previous experience in organizing marches (I am personally looking for those who organized the "million man march" in Washington D.C. some time ago), then I will work together with them to create a HUGE march in Washington D.C.

But until then, it's not just my hands that are tied... so are the hands of thousands of others.

dxd I thank you for the statement about the Bonus Army. That was one portion of my public schooling that had been left out. lol I had no idea such a confrontaton ever occurred. It's definitely interesting when a bunch of illegals march on Washington D.C. and nobody interferes, but we know what would happen if WE tried to do the same thing. Look at what happened to the Minuetmen when they were recently in DC. Nope, we have to come up with some new and different tactics. We need an innovative plan.

Who did organize the million man march? Thats an awesome Idea to get them involved. We could really move this along with planners who know the ropes.

Bonus March, a march by World War I veterans on Washington, D.C., in 1932. In May 1932 Walter V. Waters and other veterans in Portland, Oregon, formed the Bonus Expeditionary Force (BEF), known as the Bonus Army. They demanded payment of a bonus promised to them in 1924 but not available until 1945. The veterans were suffering through the Great Depression and needed the bonus immediately.

The Bonus Army left Portland, added thousand of recruits along the route, and arrived in Washington at the end of May. About 20,000 veterans gathered at Anacostia Flats and demanded the United States Congress provide immediate payment of the bonus. In June the House of Representatives agreed to immediate payment, but the Senate defeated the legislation. Many veterans then left the capital.

More than 4000 veterans remained in Washington, D.C., however, and they rioted on July 28. President Herbert Hoover ordered federal troops under General Douglas MacArthur to end the riot. The Bonus Army was driven away by cavalry, tanks, and infantry armed with tear gas, and their camp was destroyed. The group left Washington after Congress appropriated $100,000 to send them home. In 1936 Congress passed legislation providing for cash payments of the veterans’ bonuses.

The Nation of Islam organized the Million man March. That could be a tough nut to crack.

Bonus Army/March, Ruby Ridge, Waco, the "militia movement" of the 1990s. I'm thinking these "fringe" groups saw the light long before I did.

I think the big thing was getting people to even listen.

I know FAIR did a press conference last week and flew in some black leaders around the country. From my experience, the black men are the most concerned about this -- the ones I've talked to don't like it one bit. And something needs to be done to nip this in the bud, because this is going to get ugly real fast!

I gave some info to a black minister that I met week before last and he said he would bring it up before the church and give it to another minister friend of his -- he said the people need to know. I haven't been able to get up with him since then because my car died again, but I will check with him this week some time.

Lovely. Shoots that idea out of the water. I wouldn't approach those groups even IF someone paid me all the money in the world.

I'll look elsewhere. How about the Greenpeace? LOL (Hey, only kidding!)

We can get it ironed out. Even if it means building the effort from scratch.

This was posted by ALIPAC in the news area of the forum. You don't have to travel to Arizona. If you go to the web site for the organizers, they have planned protests at nearly EVERY Mexican Consulate in each state. This is something we can all do.

HANDS ALONG the BORDER: RALLY the NATION

On Saturday June 3 American citizens all across the nation will be joining together to rally for Secure Borders. Ground Zero for the rallies will be the Arizona Border on one of the largest human and drug smuggling corridors on the southern border where human smugglers load human cargo to be transported to cities and towns all over the U.S.

In Arizona, at Ground Zero, a human fence will be formed at HIGH NOON AZ time as American Citizens link hands on the Arizona Border. At the same time, at rallies at Mexican Consulates, State Capitals and cities across America, U.S. Citizens will link hands in solidarity to demand secure borders. Join us on June 3 and help us send a strong, powerful message to our elected leaders—Secure Our Borders!
Bring your signs and flags and remember to take pictures.

If you plan on attending the Arizona Border location you will need to bring some things with you.

Wonder if Dobbs would be interested in it? When we went to the city to protest he came out, so did 3 other anchors from CNN they interviewed us on the street , they interviewed me twice. I never saw the footage but i was told by a number of people that know me and saw it they didn't really cut it up too much, and I was LESS than nice on all subjects. Soooooooooo my point is, if we/or any of us can get Dobbs to even agree to talk about it, I live 45 mins away from NYC and will go there and talk and try to kick start this.
