The 1986 "Immigration Reform Act" called for strict employer enforcement standards. HA! We know how far those went. We all need to make it clear to that barrel full 'o monkeys in Washington that We the People want no part of their cornball, cockmamie schemes for amnesty for those already here (Kyle/Coryn(ball) or the McCain-(look what the cat dragged in)Kennedy bills). We want vigerous employer enforcement FIRST. Once the mess is cleaned up, then we will be open for discussion on other immigration matters but not until the jobs done. Bad Bonzo's, wack the chimps across the snout with a rolled up newspaper! We pay 'em enough, make 'em do their jobs over and over again till they get it right!

This poll is ridiculous. The police can't just run around arresting day laborers without probable cause. This is America, not some fifth rate Third World police state.

That being said--what the police CAN and SHOULD do is monitor these day labor sites and figure out who is coming to employ these people and then do an investigation into whether or not they are playing by the rules. I want to see SS cards, W2 forms, all of that.

Being a Felon (Illegal Alien) is probable cause is it not?
