    ODE TO A SOLDIER
    The battle's over,
    The victory's won.
A soldier makes his journey home.

    He fought so hard,
    He fought so long.
And now he sings a victor's song.

    It was not easy.
    It was not slight.
But it was such a worthy fight.

    The battle scars,
    They tell the tale,
That war sometimes can be like Hell.

    But he fought the fight,
    Endured the pain,
For he knew just he would gain.

    Commendations,
    Medals, cheers,
Those things fade across the years.

    But his gain would be
    Much more than that--
A place where only few have sat.

    An honored seat,
    A place of call,
    To sit before his General,

    And hear the words
    That come from Him,
"You fought the fight, now enter in!"

    Greg,

Maybe you need to consider a different view point. Flying the flag upside down is a distress signal. Every time the fly our flag upside down, it sends a message that our nation is in distress, which has been caused by the very invaders that are flying it upside down.

Secondly, if they are burning our flag, that is the best thing they can do. They think it is insulting. Actually, they have desecrated our flag, so it should be burned. Burning is the only proper way to dispose of an American Flag. It just proves the illegals and their supporters don’t know our laws or they wouldn’t try to bother us by burning our flag or hanging it upside down.

How could any body ever disrespect that?
Greg, I never thought I'd say something like this in a thread related to our flag, but get off of the crack! YOUR son went up to a man's casket that he never met and your son will go home from school without the deceased man?!!

To me, it's almost a living entity, with the colors representing the spirits of all those who willingly gave their lives for our country. Nothing makes me tear up so quickly as the sight of our flag or the music of our national anthem. I'm as true red white and blue as they come!

From my perspective, (based on my intent), the flag flying upside down is NOT about surrender or weakness. Please consider the intent before you rush to judge. And it's not a message for the illegals, communist groups or terrorists. It's a message to our own people to open their eyes and take note that our government has sinister plans for it's citizens. That our rights are incrementally being taken away from us. If anything, people would be curious and ask questions as to why it's being flown like that. And I think that's a good thing. It's an opportunity to tell them about the NAU, globalists, the national id card, etc.

This isn't some minor protest over a small issue. This is about the end of our country as we know it! It's a warning signal. A fire alarm. It's Paul Revere riding through town spreading the word of an impending attack. It's forcing Americans to take notice and to participate.

It's also a message to our government that WE THE PEOPLE know what they are up to. That they are destroying our country from within and we will not go quietly. THAT is my intention. If others like the illegal groups misread the intention as a sign of weakness then they will just be deceived. And as an American, I'd rather the other side be deceived than my fellow countrymen. Once again, please consider the intention behind the idea.

I certainly respect those who feel otherwise. I just wanted to articulate in greater detail where I was coming from on this issue. Thanks!

That's what I understood you to mean, that was my thinking when I thought about doing it. It's like a cry for help, screaming for Americans to wakeup before it's to late. That's why I cry or come close to it when I see our flag, she's being trampled on and disrespected not only by the invaders but by many of our global minded leaders and citizens. Some patriots strongly believe in keeping our flag rightside up no matter what. I respect their thinking.

    I also respect your thinking.

Anyone else who displays the American Flag up side down is a weak, give up type of person.
