To my grandfather (WWII Vet). You are still the man I hope I can grow to be, may god let your soul rest in peace.
To my grandfather (Korean Vet). You left this world when I was only a child barely 5 years of age, yet stories of your heroism and courage still linger in my mind. Pictures of your large frame hoisting me and showing me photos of you in uniform will always be ingrained in my mind's eye.
To my father (Vietnam Vet). I know life hasn't always been easy but you can sleep easy today for today we remember your daring contributions, and those who fell next to you.
To my brother (Iraq War Vet). You put your life on the line in place of mine (literally). If it weren't for you I would have joined the army and been in your shoes. Im not sure how I would have done, but I know your home safe now and I know you helped keep home safe.
To all the fighting men and women out there. My family, my friends and those fighting so that I can sit in my air conditioning and type this message. Today is the day when I shed tears for the fallen and share hope for those in danger. Today is the day I turn and recognize you as the heros you are. Today is your day to stand tall and be acknowledged.
Today I remember, Today I hope, Today I want to say "Thank You" for all that you have done.

I've fought some pretty hard battles in the last few years. Every time I feel I can't go any further I think about all those that died and still fight for freedom -- then I get the courage to take the next step. If they put their life on the line then so can I. Every time I hear 'Letters from Home' I get goosebumps and almost cry -- then I suck it up and keep going.
