Most of us got Vonage lines to cut costs on calls. You can also check out SKYPE online which is really cheap for long distance calls. I think they offer unlimited national calls for ten bucks a month.

I was actually thinking about Magic Jack so I can call anywhere in US and Canada for free, but the reviews are good and bad.

Magic Jack works pretty good, I have a friend that got one as a free promotion and says it works well 90% of the time. SHe spends hours on the phone with her boyfriend and it has worked well for her.
