In my view they both made a wise choice, one they felt suited both their individual needs. In the end I for sure will be supporting one of their choices. Just haven't quite decided which way to swing yet.

At first Trump was my guy, but the more I've learned the more doubtful I've become of the true motivations behind his many promises (it's a trust thing). Additionally, the "expedited return of the good ones" weighs heavy on me. If he's sincere about that, it's amnesty. Cruz on the other hand has seemed more statesman like to me and is pretty much promising a lot of the same things Trump is with the exception of "expedited" returns. No he hasn't promised to rid us of 30 million illegals in less than two years, but that's not a really an issue with me because I think such a task is extremely unrealistic. Our problem didn't happen overnight and it's not going to get fixed overnight. Cruz's past attempt at tripling work visas does concern me, but he has since come out and promised that's not going to happen.

Oh, and Trump's continuous boast of being a "deal maker" also gives me pause. I worry about anyone that is eager to deal with liberals on issues such as immigration and border security. Another huge worry of mine concerning Trump is his two potential nominations for the U.S. Supreme Court. At least with Cruz I have an idea of what we would get, with Trump it's anyone's guess.
