dk3 is definitely a female. And yeah, I am a survivor, a tough old bird that refuses to sit down and shut up like some think I ought to. When I hit 55, I lost all braking power on my mouth, and see no need to change it. I just love to see people wiggle and squirn.

dk3, that's how things have gotten with me, living where we do. I had one time on the past in my early 20's ran after burglars, yelling at them, and my then fiance' was completely disturbed, but then he found after 14 years of marriage that his protesting will do no good.

Letely I have been known to corner our big Romanian slumlord, and chew him out. He avoids me now.

It is a good thing to not use the perverbial brakes sometimes. Run that American mouth, let people know you are fed up!

Don't know how you do it DK3. I read nickled and dimed and was shocked. The writer didn't intend to make a statement against illegals, but that's what I got from it. Cheap housing is hard to come by because illegals will live in crowded conditions and pay no taxes so the rent goes up in proportion to their ability to pay.

Speakin' of those hungry illegals, have I got a short tale for you all.

Tonight we arrived back in town after a drive up the scenic Columbia River Gorge to Hood River to get some fresh apples, cider and pears (had to put that in for any potential tourists to our area!!!).....well we stopped in the grocery store to pick up something for dinner.

Anyways, it was busy, and the lines were dominated by the illegals with there kids. I was two lanes down in checkout from a group, two young couples with two kids each, and they had two carts full of groceries (I mean FULL), they were coordinating the items, and each woman pulled out the EBT cards for foodstamps as well as the men with bundles of cash in their pockets for diapers and such.

The two women did not look at all like they have missed a meal, and although the men were lean, they looked quite well. They all walked out together and got in the same newer mini-van. I assumed they were sharing a place as well.

None of the many illegals I had seen in the store left with anything less than a cart full of groceries. All looked well fed and nicely dressed, so whatever this article was supposed to be representing, it was not the illegals in the store near where we live, nor in our complex.

I see them at Wal-Mart...carts full...I mean brimming and sometimes they have TWO CARTS. All chubby. No illegal is starving here and if you watch the films of them crossing the border, they look very well fed before they get here too. They might need a meal after crossing the desert because they ate all their stuff but we know from the trash all over the routes they are eating...well...there is a ton of food trash.

So, I don't believe this starving immigrant crap either. Starving is in Africa...not these people coming across the borders.

I agree Judy, if we need to focus on any people, it needs to be the people of African nations. They are suffering the most, not the people of Mexico and Central America.

The long commercials for all the charities working to help the people in the African continent, all show people in dire need and suffering. It shows children growing up on their own because their parents died of AIDS.

I do not care what people tell you, the illegals here are not starving and there are just as many struggling black, white and Asian families in this country, all of them citizens to boot!
