Thread: Trump expected to halt DACA but allow some Dreamers to stay temporarily ALIPAC

It is said that by ending DACA, deporting the Haitians and El Salvadorians here on Work Permits that would provide the funding for the tax cuts.......

The USA is flooded in more ways than one with problems, from immigration to trade, from overpopulation to natural disasters, to lack of self-sufficiency to trillions in national debt, from threats of terrorism to nuclear war. The absolute last thing we have the time or money to deal with is 800,000 illegal aliens whose PR outfits have described them as "DREAMERS". We don't want them on our welfare programs, we don't want them breeding anchor babies, we don't want them in our colleges and universities, we don't want them in our work force competing with American Workers, we don't want them in our news or politics impacting our policies or laws, because ... we don't want them here in our faces or on our streets to begin with. That's why they're illegal aliens under our laws, that's what they should remain and why they should eventually be deported or leave on their own taking their parents and offspring with them.

Honestly, I never did care much for Trump the man/narcissist, however, like a lot of other folks, I voted on him based on his campaign promises, not my personal thoughts of him as a man. Ending DACA "immediately" after election was central to his campaign rhetoric on ending Obama's amnesties. Breaking that promise right out of the gate does not set a very good precedent and it immediately brings to question his other immigration related promises.

ALIPAC's retraction of his endorsement was for the very reason I'm furious with him. He broke his immigration related promise not to support or encourage an illegal immigrant amnesty. The quickest way for anyone operating as a politican to lose the trust of his supporters is to promise them one thing to get elected but then give them the exact opposite. That is exactly what Trump has done. Some may even go as far as say he deliberately decieved the American people to illicit favor.

Sorry, I'm not a very good cheerleader. I'll give credit when and where it is due, but I will not offer excuses or provide cover for someone that decieved me in order to get something from me (my vote).

A supporter I may be, but I refuse to be labeled a blind follower.

I hope you choose to vote for someone else in 2020 so I'm spared reading your "day one" "broken promises" wounded bird comments. If you voted for Trump the "narcissist" solely on ending DACA then that was a most displaced uninformed vote in my opinion.

Now he says "We Love Dreamers" !?!?! How could anyone here at ALIPAC defend such a comment. Trump's We Love Dreamers comment is as repugnant as Jeb Bush's claim that illegal immigration was "an act of love"

If Trump had said "We Love Dreamers" anytime prior to November of 2017 he would not be the current President of the United States.

Anyone continuing to blindly support or chearlead for Trump after this comment is clearly putting the idolation of Trump before the issues that made Trump win with voters like us.

The question was asked in the midst of religious leaders immediately following a prayer at a session announcing the National Day of Prayer for victims of Hurricane Harvey. He said "we love the dreamers, we love everyone."

I've not read anyone posting any defense or even a comment on the statement except those attacking the statement.
