It is ok IMO to criticize, poke holes or even question my candidates position on every issue. It doesn't mean I will not support him or that I am giving aid and shelter to the enemy. They are smart enough to figure things out for themselves and shove it into the topic for the day. When supporters raise concerns and questions, it is telling me that they are thinking, they are not sheep and maybe some have deciding factors that will send them to the other side, seek a third candidate or just sit it out. If Trump backed away from his illegal immigration agenda in totality, then yes I would not see any point in supporting him. If you think hiding the truth on certain issues retains voters, eventually everything becomes known and no candidate is perfect. We must accept many flaws in these candidates and support the ones we think are going to resonate the best with our own distorted perceptions of reality.

Of course you're right, joe s. There are several things I don't like about Trump. I'm Pro-Choice, yet he's now Pro-Life, and I support the FairTax, yet he decided to modify the existing income tax system instead as his Tax Plan. So I hold my nose and vote for Trump in spite of his Pro-Life stance and hope he can be convinced by the FairTax organization and their supporters which includes me to support the legislation once he's in office. He stated during the campaign that he liked the FairTax when asked about it in an interview but thought modifying the income tax would be faster to implement. I disagree with him on that.

But what "truth" is someone hiding and who is hiding it?

Trump has been absolutely clear, open, transparent and truthful about his deportation plans that includes keeping families together as they are all deported including so-called citizen children.

Again, anyone who thinks after going through all that Trump is going to use his political capital with Congress to "bring them back" just isn't thinking realistically. Does that mean that some One in the World brain surgeon or nuclear scientist or cancer researcher who overstayed a visa, the "good ones", won't have some opportunity to come back at some point? Who knows. Trump said he would "try". Under current law, they don't be coming back.

Just saying, like on this topic supporters are poking at the different components of his idea. He is going to deport everyone, now he is going to allow back just the good ones. Personally, I think we don't know exactly what he is planning. What is the real truth? If he can mirror the illegal immigration platform to the beautiful job he did on his SCOTUS appointments, we can dig our teeth into something other than speculation.

Yes, some are poking, and I don't understand that. He's made it abundantly clear and been called a "racist" and a "bigot" and a "xenophobe" because he wants to build a wall, ban Muslim immigration and deport all illegal aliens within 2 years, he's made it clear that families will not be separated, they will be deported as a family unit, and he will remove minor children of illegal aliens born in the US with the parents and other members of the family who are deported. He said several months ago that he would "try" to bring "some of the good ones back" and when pressed on who those might be he mentioned doctors and highly educated people who had overstayed their visas.

There is going to be resistance, protests, riots and probably attempts on his life over this. So as supporters, I don't really know or understand what more any member of ALIPAC or any citizen of our country would want or expect of this man at this time. Donald Trump didn't cause this massive problem, he's just a good person running for office to try to fix it. To me, he needs our unwavering support in return for his unwavering loyalty to the American People and the United States so he can win the election, take office and get after it.

I'm sure after he's elected, all his political enemies will do everything within their power to stop and block him. We're a pretty sophisticated political action committee here at ALIPAC, so we know this is not a one man show and we already know far too well the strength of the opposition. So, there will need to be massive public support for Trump in order to influence others like members of Congress, courts, states and law enforcement, who may have a role to play or funds to budget to get this done.

Just my opinion for whatever it's worth.

If they are here legally, there's nothing that can be done about it until their visa expires. If they're here on green cards, they're here forever and will probably become citizens at some point. If some of those were here on visas, the visa expired and they didn't leave, are deported, and they're "good ones", under US law they're barred from re-entry for 10 years. Some of these may be the type of people Trump was referring to or had in mind to bring back if Congress changed the law to allow it. It's doubtful to me that Congress would have the public support to allow it even if Trump after getting them out of here would use his political capital and "try" to bring them back.

This whole issue of some "good ones" coming back after they're deported seems a much ado about nothing to me, because the tide is rolling in and Americans are fed up with immigration on all levels. Too many college graduates are without work, along with the rest of the population. We have our own PhD's. We don't need to import them unless they've discovered the secret to clean free energy.
