A little bit of public shaming about greed should help. I'm not against people becoming wealthy, but with politicians, it becomes a bane as they can't let go of their little perks and will do anything to stay in office.... Like John McCain collecting SS benefits despite owning (think I heard this number awhile back) 8 homes.

The very uninformed and uneducated people of the U.S. today need to learn where the governments actually gets money. I can't believe the number of people who either don't know or haven't ever even given it a thought....
I agree with this in spirit, but IMO the only way for it to truly work is if we first seriously reform campaign finance laws. Congress already gets most of their salary from lobbies any way. Cutting their pay could possibly make them even more dependent upon corporate lobbies, and hence more beholden to them, unless we end that system of bribery.

Yep, that too! Hit them from all sides! The puffed up poppycocks...

As for sleeping in their offices, that's great... but it'll get old soon enough, won't be a permanent thing... but hey, I'm all for the Bama;, Reid, Pelosi et al doing it! Shucks, they're not newbies, but they ought to be - they need sent back to freshman Understanding the U.S. Constitution, What You Can... and Cannot Do 101 class...

We need to cut all this so called humanitarian aid to overseas nations. Stop all this aid and use that money to rebuild OUR COUNTRY. If we cut the aid we will see who our real allies are and who will stand with us even without us buying their loyalty. Also stop all this sending millions to the UN. All they do is take the money and then tell the US to go and fix the worlds problems with little or no help from other UN members.

    1. Military on the border doing so the military way.
    2. No benefits of any kind for illegals from medical, school, citizenship for kids, welfare and so on.
    3. Employers of illegals lose their liscense, go to jail for 1 year, and $25k fine per illegal..
    4. Welfare system.... GONE. Replace with a worker system where the government helps you relocate to a low wage workplace. Don't work don't eat.
    5. Medicaid system gone, you don't work you don't eat, same for healthcare. You don't wish to carry insurance you don't get taxpayer paid healthcare. (replace with a new system for ONLY those with real disabilities.... laziness and stupidity is not a disability but a personal choice).
    6. No Child Left Behind GONE. Put all Citizen children in school but if they fail or don't care enough we always need agricultural laborers. Don't hold better students back for a bad one.
    7. Dept of ED disolved with most powers at state level and only a small board that puts American educational issues on the agenda. The basics from an American cultural belief view. Add in Economics and Politics. Kids need to learn how politics work and understand the different forms.
    8. Disolve the current IRS and create a new one. A tax on every good and service in the US having a state and a national %. Or Fairtax
    9. Imports from 3rd world living standard countries get a mandatory 25-30% import duty/tarriff/tax imposed. Waived from accepted developed countries with a developed standard of living.
    10. Bar Unions from ALL Public sectors.
    11. Ban all foreign lobbyist groups. Ban non Citizens from lobbying making it a Citizen only right.
    12. Make Immigration work FOR the American People not against. No more chain immigration, visa lottery's and so on. Either bring a skill and a culture that benefits the US or don't come at all.
    13. Create a Military Tribunal for trying Congressional Members who break their oath of office also capable of trying the US President for the same grounds. Only applies to Breaking Oath of Office.... basically Treason.

Remove them? Better to arrest them on dereliction of duty and see how well they like being in a cell with the illegals they support!

There are some interesting ideas here, but I am not certain they have been carefully thought through. Our founders feared Government because they understood how easy it is to take a law, warp the interpretation and end up in tyranny.

Once the nose is in, like the interstate commerce laws, a lot of these changes will be mis interpreted and leave us worse off than we are now. Go back, read them again, this time with the frame of mind on how you, as a member of congress or a liberal, can twist this to rob the average American of both their money and their liberty.
