Thank You for sharing your story and I so wish the misguided youth at UNC could hear your story.Maybe an email to the Chancellor or The Student Union of UNC or the college newspaper.

Your words have inspired me to try and do more to protect our country and our constitution !

    Bravo...

Your story brings sorrow to my heart , you are a
brave soul. My great grandparents came to this country
(New York City ,) in 1885 , they had to learn the hard way
and I've come across many here who don't want to learn
English and many don't even understand our currency, this
    shocked me.

I'm very sad to see that the government is turning towards
the left , many people in this country doesn't know what this
means ! I know a family I've been friends with for over 30 yrs.
they fled Cuba fromCastro's Tyranny and everything they had
was taken away and they weren't wealthy. Matter of fact I wrote
a book with one of the brothers titled: " Visions Of Freedom,"
Many Americans should read and know what it's like living under
Communists or any other type of government where they rule
with fear and horror.. I pray to God every day that this doesn't
happen here , I always felt in my heart my people in our great
country would never let this happen. My dear lady thank you
for your great story and welcome to our great country...

    Cheers.......Joe

The time is near at hand which must determine whether Americans are to be free men or slaves. ~George Washington~

Mrs.BigTex, welcome to ALIPAC and we are REALLY glad you are here, and here in American with us in this new fight we have on our hands.

I give you this quote from George Washington. I have found a lot of the founding fathers of this nations quotes so relevant in todays issues, that it is almost scary to think of how they seemed to know, or is it just that the fight for liberty has been renewed out of necessity, so we Americans again find ourselves back to square one? No matter, we are ready for it.

I cannot imagine what you all had to go through down there, it must have been an absolute nightmare. I have spoke with immigrants who came from communist nations and what they endured over there, and the fears that they had daily. I respect the opinions of immigrants who have endured these things, as your insights into why Americans need to fight now, is very important and needs to be heard.

As we drove home yesterday from the TEA Party I was mad . While almost 10,000 people show up in Houston to protest, millions did NOTHING. They are still sitting in their ez-chairs watching TV and have no clue about what is really going on. They sit back and wait for people like us and immigrants like MrsBigTex to solve their problem so they don't have to miss their favorite TV show.

Welcome MrsBigTex. How about, I thought SLPC said we hated immigrants? Heck many of us married to immigrants or are immigrants ourselves.

    MrsBigTex Welcome, welcome.

Yesterday at Tea Party I heard the same story from a couple from Canada who are now Americans.

Hi TexasBorn... Thanks for your welcome, and nice to be here.

I was yesterday in Houston's Tea party. It was cool to see the other fellows, guys like you, me, like everybody else... It was cool seeing for example, an elder couple -they must be at least 70 years old-, standing, under the sun, in a mass of guys moving like on an ant's nest... ELDERS, there, standing... I heard no words of complain from them, nor one... I was as amazed and in love as when I traveled over here for first time. Excuse me the next words... but... "Those are Balls!!!" Those are the heroes, and in the other side... -how I can call them, maybe not cowards, maybe they just don't know...- I saw all the "other ones" with the head in the sand as you said, or into an hamburger... restaurants packed with people living in some kind of cloud, absent, people, lots of them driving everywhere in their daily universe, with the heart and mind I don't know if in denial or just plain "I don't give a squat" for anything.

So, let’s go forwards, anyway, with the “mentally absentâ€
