Even if the sign is a fake, I believe that's what a lot of them think.

    photo of sign

I can't speak to the authenticity of the photo, per se, but as a 30 year resident' of AZ, and a very "Gringo" looking American citizen, I can honestly say this IS the attitude with which I'm met whenever I encounter illegals, which is often, since something close to half of all AZ businesses employ them, according to the ICE report released in April, which also sounds about right. The only word on that sign I even question at all is the presence of the word "jobs" since they seem to believe we should simply support them in comfort, period. Their manners are at best rude and offensive and so on. Understand, I'm NOT speaking of ALL Hispanics, only those who are here NOT seeking to become Americans, but to be coddled BY the American system! However, like many of the others, I'm compelled to ask precisely what it is that makes them believe we owe them anything. As I learned history, the Mexican War, as we call it, in the early 1840s was between 2 well armed and fairly equally matched armies; the US Army and the Mexican Army, and was much closer to their home turf at the time, so they had the "home court" advantage, but the US Army prevailed and the lands were acquired as part of the peace treaty from that war, not "stolen" as many are now claiming, in the manner, so they say, that we took the lands from the "other" Native peoples here. Our Native Americans weren't generally as well armeed, for one thing, and the Mexican peoples are a mix of Spanish and Native, rather than Anglo and Native, but still European, so the claim seems pretty spurious to me. Further, whatever some ancestor of mine, and I did have one in the Army in that fracas, MAY have done 160+ years ago, I am NOT responsible for, neither will I accept guilt or punishment over! I wasn't here to "control" his actions, and this leftist/socialist "race card" and PC nonsense is JUST that; a way of "guilt-tripping" us into giving the "oppressed minority" whatever it is they're demanding be handed them at the moment. See it for what it is: a SCAM against us! That we're too broke to continue supporting them in the style to which they've been accustomed, or led to believe we will never enters their minds, and they're behaving, by the evidence of the sign like any thwarted, immature peoples by throwing a "tantrum" {the riots and protests}, and threatening further mayhem. They have been holding protests and DEMANDING their "rights" down here for nearly a decade and a half now, at least annually, so if I was pressed to say, I would think that sign might well be accurate, but again, I have no proof, only my gut feeling based on how they do behave toward us here.

    regarding the photo.

The resolution of the picture is pretty low, so I cannot tell if the actual sign that subject was carrying was overlayed, but from my experience in Law enforcement it would appear to me that the entire sign both black print and red were written by the same hand. It is possbile if someone has a better copy of the photo to enhance it enough to determine if it is the origianl sign, or it has been overlayed with another.

    The sign looks bogus

I was a photographer in the Navy and ran a photo finishing lab after I was discharged.

The cardboard on the lower part of the sign is not the same as that above and the edges(lower one especially) look like an add on to the original.

2nd point, why would the sign maker use a different poster board color
( look at the other signs in that group)?

Some one is stirring the pot and doing a poor job of it.

By the way, I am pro Legal Imigration.

    Their Thoughts

It is a real travesty to say that is what they think. especially when you say all of them. But they leave very little doubt when they pulled the riot the other day and pelted the police officers with bottles and rocks, that it is clearly what many of them are thinking. If you or I had done that they would probably be putting embalming fluid in us at the moment. They mostly don't care in either case because most of them don't have to sweat it that much. If the heat gets to hot they just dodge back across the border and it's cool again. This is what makes them so dangerous. and why the borders must be secured. My first impression when I viewed it was that the bottom red sign had been photoshoped in, Then after careful examination every detail of the two signs are the same. Either both signs are faked or it is legitimate. I personally would hope for the former but sincerely feel it is the later. I sure feel that if it is something that has been faked, it is a shame. There is enough hate going on over this already no one needs to fan the flames any. The government is just looking for a good reason to throw more weight around. And more intensity on either side just might give them justification. Not what we want to happen. May GOD help us we are going to have to walk a fine line here. keeping our freedom, dignity, and honor is going to be a difficult job.

IMHO it appears fake. The head sitting on the body seems out of proportion as does the hand holding the sign.
I don't think the organizers would want their true feeling shown.

Thoughts on the photo you posted

I am not an expert, but my understanding is that if, for example, a "field" is photoshopped into a photo, under magnification pixelation will appear around the inserted field. I don't have the best means of checking this, but I do not find any pixelation in or around the sign, or of the man's hand holding it. I DO however see what appears to be blurring along the line where the two parts of the sign overlap. That is very curious. Further, comparing the style of the printed letters, most of the letters would seem to have been written in the same hand. Such as the "S" in "us" America on the upper sign, and in "shoot" more on the lower sign. The "Es" seem pretty consistent also. A notable difference is between the "F" in "FREE" and "FOOD" in the upper sign, and "FREE" in the lower sign. However, the "REE" in FREE in both signs appear identical.

I don't think it was photo shopped. You can tell that by looking at it. I do believe that they were added together and by the same person. This is the mentality of the illegals. They wish death upon our law enforcement and the American people.

The picture does not obviously appear to be altered and rumors online claim the picture was taken by police in Phoenix, Arizona during the pro Comprehensive Immigration Reform Amnesty marches on May 1, 2010.

However, if this picture is a hoax then we want to get that information out there as soon as possible to clear things up for those circulating the picture already.

We are putting this e-mail alert and picture out there and sending copies to Snopes in the hopes that we can determine who took this picture or who made this picture.

We are also sending this picture to our media list with requests for assistance determining if this picture is authentic or a hoax.

The sign reads "Health care jobs no-taxes house food you owe us America! We will shoot more police in Arizona till we get free!

We will update everyone if we can make a determination.
