These "new" and/or illegal immigrants aren't loyal to America, few will actually be loyal to America.

These people think our laws need to be changed, we need to throw all our laws out, just for them. They come here and demand we change for them...how much more arrogant can they be?

What makes foreigners think American tax payers owe them anything?

I don't recall taking on a country such as Mexico, to raise!

These people are worse than some American teens we now have, that live in the "gimme" generation!

When the rich in Mexico threatened to move out of Mexico if their taxes were raised to help their own......they think we should support them???

If one loves their former Country, then one should stay and fight for change, DO NOT come here and demand we throw out all out immigration laws, give you entitlements, birth your babies and give you our jobs because you don't have backbone to fight for change in your own Country!

The government had millions of our unborn children slaughtered to, they claimed, try to control population growth.

Your going to have to come up with a better argument than that for many of us!

Just because something passes in this country anymore, it has little to do with the reality that follows!

You say this and yet you align yourself with Socialists and anti-Americans who hate everything this country stands for and the values that made it a great country able to offer opportunities to more people than any other country in the world. We don't want to see anyone starve, but we know we cannot take in all of the world's poor and oppressed. Those people must be helped in their own countries, and they themselves must try to effect change in their countries to improve their lot.

The senate is doing the right thing by passing centrist immigration reform that does enforcement and giving some illegal immigrants a second chance to get right with the law...This country should be tought and compassionate at the same time..I believe in forgiveness and a second chance because im a christian ..Sorry you dont believe in it.

It is not fair to reward people for coming here illegally. They are being rewarded because in addition to not having to return to their countries of origin, they will be granted citizenship--something that is precious to Americans and those who have had to wait their turn and obey the law. As well, as we already learned in 1986, there will be no enforcement. After making a show for awhile, it will be business as usual with even more illegals flooding in. In a few years we will be right back to square one. By that time, we won't even recognize this country. You will be able to take pride in the fact that due to your support of illegal immigration, you helped to ruin this country.

Nobody here hates you. But you have insulted us on more than one thread and have exhibited arrogance; as well you attempt to demoralize us (it's not working).

We do not hate "immigrants." We are against illegal immigration from any country. Amnesty--we have already been there, done that. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. No mass deportations! Just enforce the laws on the books, no welfare to illegals, allow them to return to their home countries to whom they are loyal, and apply to come in legally.

There are a few good men/women left who cannot be bought!

This may seem extreme to some but it is exactly what needs to happen to these traitors in power. They are suppose to uphold the law not go around it. I'm very discouraged by all of this that is going on in Washington.

Why are they even discussing it in Congress ?
10 million people is the total population of Michigan, or Georgia or Ohio

These posts are too "story oriented", that is, they look like conconcted arguments being made up for the purposes of political propaganda. The "I am a legal immigrant but I support illegal immigrants" ring to this makes me think that this is being made up by a troll.

Expect even worse things to happen in the future. Our politicians have converted themselves over to global socialism, and like all communists, they eventually go insane...

As they get successful wins with the Mexican immigration problem expect to see them go on to other issues with their busy hands: jail time for hate crimes, innoculating American citizens with strange "drugs", taking away 60% of a worker's income in taxes....

I used to believe that only nutcases believed in Bush's plans to build concentration camps for American citizens, but now I can see it coming.
