I'm not sure if the goal is global socialism, I looks like it's just globalism in general. Socialist do care about others. Bush, his cronies, and greedy companies have nothing to do with socialism, all they want is globlization to make the rich richer, that's even worse than socialism. As they get successful wins with the Mexican immigration problem expect to see them go on to other issues with their busy hands: jail time for hate crimes, innoculating American citizens with strange "drugs", taking away 60% of a worker's income in taxes....

The only reason I can think of that Congress and the White House can get away with amnesty is b/c most Americans are more worried about the war in Iraq. The next presidential election will be about the war, and hardly about illegal immigration

The "I am a legal immigrant but I support illegal immigrants" ring to this makes me think that this is being made up by a troll.

With the global socialism it seems that it works this way.

The rich hire the cheapest person they can find. It seems they prefer illegal. They pass on the bills like medical, social security and welfare and a host of other handouts over to the honest working class that have spent their lives paying into it and building it up only to have the rich loot it for their criminal laborers.

Communism is that every person on earth must make ther same amount of money. Actually it's that you must work for free and the government will take care of you. Socialism is not comminism, but both will try to reduce the gap between rich and poor. The different thing with today's globalization is that the gap between rich an poor is only getting wider.

Globalization can be either capitalism, socialism or communism. Communism is not the same as socialism. Socialist allow you to keep some property / money for your own, they care more about social neccesary programs ( education, health care, etc ).
Communists want to take everything away from you, money, property, freedom of speech, and even your life if you don't obey them. This is what I understand of the difference between socialism and communism.

Many European countries have socialists in the government and it ain't that bad. I don't like them both, I'm a liberal and believe in liberalism. More government but ONLY to take care of important matters, such as subsidized health care, reduce military budget, increase educational budget. More benefits for poor citizens and legal residents, NOT to illegal aliens of course, etc.

The fact is that there has never been a Communist state. Communism can only occur in vacuum, and there is a transitional period from other systems into Communism. That transitional form of government is Socialism.

The fact is that there has never been a Communist state. Communism can only occur in vacuum, and there is a transitional period from other systems into Communism. That transitional form of government is Socialism.

There are/were still communist states China, Cuba, Laos, North Korea, Vietnam. There're many ' socialist ' European countries, these are not communist. You haven't been abroad that much, or experienced other countries. You said you have, so it's just that you hardly know international relations and politics. I meet foreign nationals every time I work, including Russians, and they told me themselves that Russia was communist and not socialist ! Our presidents during the cld war labelled USSR as communist, and not socialist. I usually don't answer your posts anymore, but some posts show so much ignorance that it's hard for me not to reply.

No. We called the government Communist because that was its ultimate alleged goal. But if you actually study political science, you will understand that Russia and all of the other states of the Soviet Socialist Republics were in fact socialist, just as China is Socialist. If it were truly Communist, China could not and would not allow private foreign invastment nor would it be actively engaged in capitalist trade with the West.

It appears that you would be well served by spending more time studying and less time posting.

I don't need to "google" it. I actually studied political science. Not only that, I have spent a substantial amount of time in Russia and the old USSR. The USSR was a Socialist government and society headed by the Communist Party - so called because its ultimate goal was universal Communism.

Maybe you should consider this excerpt from the preamble to the old Soviet Constitution:

In the USSR a developed socialist society has been built. At this stage, when socialism is developing on its own foundations, the creative forces of the new system and the advantages of the socialist way of life are becoming increasingly evident, and the working people are more and more widely enjoying the fruits of their great revolutionary gains.

Looks like the Soviets had a better understanding of thier own system than you do. Go figure.
