Well, I go away for most of the day (since this morning) and this issue has taken off!!! I'm Absolut-ly livid myself too.

It still makes no sense to me why this company would display an ad that is not true. The Southwest belongs to the U.S., not mexico. This is part of the U.S. history.

An Absolut NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sent an email and a copy of the ad to my Representative in Georgia and asked him if there was anyone in Congress who would care to censure the Absolut (V&S) corporation for their insult to America.

I do want to say several things about this ad.

Quien magazine is geared toward affluent residents in Mexico. The Absolut ads " if this was a fantasy world" are usually outlandish and well, fantasies.

Considering the fringe groups who believe in reconquista and are not sophisticated enough to get the "tongue in cheekiness" of the ad, this ad does more harm than good and should be banned.

OMG!! How do I tell this one to my husband? Absolut and grapefruit is his drink.

Snowinpalm - I am the one that accidentally called you earlier this afternoon. I figured out what I did. When you posted your number on here I thought it was another number for Absolut. Sorry to bug you. I figured it out, and I was able to leave a message on Moran's recorder.

lower quality. I know I bartend part time. That's why Absolut mixed drinks cost more. I've been told Absolut is smoother and it doesn't tear up your stomach.
