The police were so pumped up that they over reacted. None of their expected adversaries showed up, so they took out their frustration on a convenient citizen. That's all, but that is enough. Now their department can deal with the civil rights lawsuites. Those trigger-happy cops need to learn better coping skills!

In light of the ignoring of what prompted the heavy law-enforcement presence in Morristown over the weekend by the Hannity & Colmes show, we are asking everyone to send an email to Mr. Lou Dobbs at CNN requesting him to pick up the REAL story: the attempt by local government in Hamblen County, Tennessee to effectively shut-down a peaceful rally organized by American Citizens because it was opposing illegal immigration instead of supporting it. In fact, on May 1 of this year, illegals and their supports were allowed to block streets AND carry flag poles in Morristown with practically NO police presence - even from the LOCAL law enforcement and yet, when American Citizens want to rally to show their support for securing our Nation's borders, "Law" enforcement refuse to allow Old Glory to be flown from an aluminum flag-pole calling it a 'potential weapon'. Those rally goers who braved the SWAT teams were searched for anything and everything that might convievably considered a weapon and forced to either surrender those items or return them to their cars before being allowed inside the barricades to listen to the speakers!!

This is an egregious example of a double-standard - one that elevates law-breakers over law-abiding U.S. Citizens and IT MUST STOP NOW!!

In addition to contacting the Lou Dobbs show, we'd also like to ask that you continue to flood elected officials in Morristown, Hamblen County and the State of Tennessee (contact information for all in our "Morristown Updates" section) with phone calls and emails telling them that we, as LEGAL U. S. residents will no longer accept such treatment!

Totally agree with you, LegalUSCitizen. I have absolutely NO desire to try to understand or condone this kind of crap just because they are cops. Some people (including these cops) just don't understand that they work for us. No doubt that these cops had their own agenda.
Any American that sits on their thumb and fails to speak out against such activity, contributes to a dangerous situation.

MORRISTOWN, TN (WATE) -- A rally that was supposed to be peaceful ended
with chaos Saturday afternoon [June 24] outside the Hamblen County courthouse.
Things got testy for a while as police tried to stop a disabled veteran
from carrying an American flag onto courthouse grounds.

I speak as a Christian first, as an American Constitutionalist

You will see more and more of this. I encountered this same hatred
at the May 6th "Secure the Borders" rally at the S.C. State House
in Columbia. I spoke to a State Trooper in a pleasant, upbeat, friendly
tone, "I SUPPORT law enforcement." He sneered and growled, "Get
out of my face!" with body language that made it plain what his next
move would be. His conduct was as redneck as it gets.

But he and his cronies do, have done, and will continue doing whatever
their masters tell them to do. In the same way, Alabama Attorney-General
Bill Pryor rejected his sworn obligation and duty to uphold the Constitution
of the United States. He and U.S. District Court Judge Myron Thompson
carried out the anti-1st Amendment orders of their masters by evicting
Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore's Rock, the 10 Commandments
monument, from the Alabama Supreme Judicial Building. Bill Pryor was

We must recognize that, although the OWG described in Revelation 13 is still future,

There were Three Soldiers that day at the Pre-Planned “Citizens Day Rally” in Morristown, TN. Reservations for the Courthouse Lawn had been made….speakers lined up…Permission to “Plug in” Power to the P.A. System had been given by County, Mayor David Purkey, in advance so ALL could hear the Speakers and Candidates for various National Offices ….but the Rallys’ fate had ALSO been PRE-determined by Mayor Purkey and his City side-kick (Police Chief, Roger Overholt) and his “Slicked Back Hair “YES,sir” man…E.M.A. Director (Eric Carpenter). Together, they planned to “Silence the Protest Lambs” with a massive planned “Over-Kill and overwhelming mass of “Homeland Security Toys”…..including an $ 800,000 Homeland Security Mobile Command Center with Satellite Communications & Digital Imaging, Critical Response Half-Track Tank, S.W.A.T. Teams in full body armor with loaded M-16 Rifles, Fire Trucks with unrolled hoses, K-9 Dog, Tenn. Highway Patrol (THP) Riot Squads, something that I called a T.H.P. In the crowd that assembled that Saturday afternoon to learn what they could do to STOP the “Illegal Alien Invasion”…there were two soldiers inside the gates and one on his way. Here are their names and this is their story:

EDWARD LANDRY: (White Pine, TN)…returned from IRAQ in NOV. 2005. On a late Feb 2006 night, he and his 15 yr. old daughter were enjoying ‘riding together on his Harley’ when a Drunk Illegal Alien pulled out in front of his Bike and crashed in Ed Landry and his daughter, Brandi . The Illegal Alien “left the scene of the crash” (but was later apprehended) and left Ed and his daughter severely injured on the pavement. Brandi died 4-5 days later…life support could NOT save her life. ED LANDRY, though severely injured, managed to hang on by a thread and, on June 24, 2006 Ed Landry ATTENDED a Rally where WE were to Honor him that very day.

Another Soldier (Veteran), TED RAY MITCHELL listed as a Disabled American Veteran, had to WALK 3 blocks because there were no “Handicapped Parking Places” available for people like him to park in. Nonetheless, Ted Ray Mitchell (61 yr old Vet from Morristown,TN ) proudly brought his American Flag fastened to a hollow Aluminum Pole with a PLASTIC Eagle with spread wings on top. He was greeted with some of “Morristown’s finest” (sarcastically speaking) (COPS) who “took him down” on a PUBLIC Sidewalk, ripped the American Flag from his grip and when they had him DOWN…one of them TASED several times ( PHOTO HERE ). There were many witnesses to that shameful act…..but there was ONE in particular that witnessed the atrocity……ED LANDRY from his Wheel Chair. (Someone said he wept !!)

The THIRD Soldier at the Rally was a young man….fixing to go off to Boot Camp in mid-July. His name was TROY WRIGHT and he said he wanted to ask me a question. (My wife, Audrey had told me about “Troy”…she had gotten an earlier phone call from him…he was “looking for Commissioner Lowe” and needed an answer). Early Tuesday AM, I received a call from the Fox News Network to appear on “Hannity & Colmes” that very night. I had just been home from work about 20-30 minutes and was looking over information before going to Knoxville to the Studio for the interview. I was rushed. Well, Troy called me. What he said in his very young voice was….”Commissioner Lowe…I need to ask you a question. I was at that rally and saw what they did to that Disabled Veteran”. I was floored by his ‘question’----”Mr. Lowe, I’m going to boot camp in a few weeks…then I may go to IRAQ. Do you think if I go to Iraq and serve, will I have a Country to come back home to!!!" After I got up off the floor, I said…”Troy, let me call you back when I get back from Knoxville tonight.” Troy said O.K. I was late getting back and called him the next morning and THIS is what I told him---"Troy….as long as there are Ted Mitchell’s and Ed Landry’s and Tom Lowe’s and millions of other AMERICAN’S dedicated to defending the American way of life, you're damned right YOU will have a Country to home to !!!”

Those pictures say it all, I think. You just have to wonder what their intention was. Armored vehicles, assault rifles, massive amounts of manpower, etc. I would have been intimidated to say the least.

Tom E. Lowe, a member of the Hamblen Co. Commission, pointed out,
"[A] key player in 'calling out the troops' on law-abiding citizens was Hamblen County Mayor, David Purkey,
[former TBI and THP trooper,] who hopes for Governor Bredesen's appointment as Tennessee State
Safety Commissioner. If appointed, he would control the TBI (Tennessee Bureau of Investigation)
and THP (Tennessee Highway Patrol)!"





Troopers apparently were told to expect Nazis and KKK presence.



But in the absence of Nazis or the KKK, Tennessee troopers targeted whoever was available,
in this case, 62-year-old disabled veteran Ted Ray Mitchell.

Now if they could just move that type of enforcement to our borders we would be in great shape.
