Now that the Supremes have acted, the next step is getting the various Arizona County attorneys to implement the law. To date, only Maricopa County has the only prosecution with this law and the other counties have refused to even charge under this law.

Recent arrests like Chuy's Restaurants were charges by the Feds. Barbara Lawall the Pima County Atty made it very clear that we WON'T be filing charges on them as well. She could however, since they broke state law as well as federal.

The AZ state law penalties are harsher than the federal penalties.

Ask N.C. House Speaker, Your State Rep. to Pass E-Verify Bill

HB 36, a bill that would require state and local government contractors to use E-Verify, is moving to the House Judiciary A Committee after passing another committee.

Our friends at NC Listen tell us that state legislative leaders have postponed passage of most items until after the budget is passed. Although the budget is not yet completed, House Speaker Thom Tillis and your Rep. should be reminded that North Carolinians want legislation passed requiring all employers to use E-Verify.

Please use the instructions below to contact these Reps. and be sure to send the faxes available on your Action Buffet.

    Action for Speaker Tillis

Please call and email Speaker Tillis with the message:

“Please expedite consideration of HB 36 and amend the bill to apply its E-Verify mandate to all employers. Citizens should not have to compete with illegal aliens for North Carolina jobs.

Then these people would be breaking the laws I would think since Governor Brewer signed it

The Arizona licensing law is not impliedly preempted by federal law. At its broadest, the Chamber’s argument is that Congress in-tended the federal system to be exclusive. But Arizona’s procedures simply implement the sanctions that Congress expressly allowed the States to pursue through licensing laws. Given that Congress spe-cifically preserved such authority for the States, it stands to reason that Congress did not intend to prevent the States from using appro-priate tools to exercise that authority.

We finally have a ruling in favor of the sovereignty of the United States.
How does Beyer, Ginsburg and Sotomayor propose that we protect ourselves if we don't enforce our laws? Do they really care?

NEVER vote for a marxist or socialist to ANY elected office!
Let's be fair. There are alot of Republicans not pushing too hard for this either! McCain comes to mind (unless he is running for re - election).

Have to see where they stand and if they are consistent.
My point in an earlier post was that being active in the GOP means that you may be able to influence who runs and certainly who is selected in the primary. Yes, there are WAY too many RINOs out there and some of them are still in camouflage. We have to flush them out and get rid of them!!

This is going to almost force other states into adopting it. Many illegals left after they passed the law and either went to another state or went back where they came from. I know we noticed more U Hauls from Arizona and vehicles with Arizone plates in South Florida around that time. More are going to be leaving Arizona now and heading elsewhere. When other states who don't have the e verify and other immigration laws enforced wil be over run with them. In this economy states, counties and cities already have budget nightmares and have to cut funding and staffing. It is also the reason more people are vocal about illegals needing to be deported. The last thing we need is more illegals in Florida.
