nntrixie: These are several ways they get the merchandise for the garage sale: they steal the items, get donations from groups who help the poor, go dumpster diving which I see anot in my condo complex or get items like furniture people are throwing out and sell it. We have an area where they put the big items and the maintenance guy in charge tells the condo manager I will get rid of those big items for you for free instead of paying a garbage company to pick it up. They ended up giving it to him and his fellow illegals which in turn sell it. The cleaning and maintenance people would go dumpster diving on a regular basis at my condo even during work hours.

They left the kids there not just for a minute but for long periods of time even more than half an hour. The kids would pen toys, bounce balls, throw stuff on the floor, etc. And Walmart would do nothing of course. Either they were illegal or from across the border shopping, most people who have lived here for years and were born here whose family came from Mexico can't even stand these people but then again there are those who have also lived here years and act like savages so there are two types. All I can say is this new crop of IA and their anchor babies are rude and disrepsectful with a sense of entitlement when they don't even speak the language or have any loyalty to the USA.
And they wonder why we get so mad, I have all I can do to control my temper at times when the real blowup happens I hope it is in my lifetime so my kids wont have to deal with it.

It's so ridiculous! I see it every time I go shopping. Except in more upscale places for them like the mall. In places like Macy's etc they do not pull this crap because I don't see very many of them in these places. Especially in book stores, I now know why I love Barnes and Noble and Borders (lol) is because there are people there who have manners, who don't ride your a$% when you are trying to look at something, and they give you your space! You can spend hours in these stores and not be bothered, they are clean and nice and not have to trip over merchandise.

In regards to walmart, it gave my mother a job at a time when she was working two jobs and a single parent of 4 who couldn't even get help like section 8. So that there was walmart within walking distance was great for her and us because she was able to be home more. On the other hand it is a magnet for IA and people from across the border who have to respect for the rule of law and take what they want and if you're in there way they will push you aside or try to. I try to shop there as little as possible or drive about 20 minutes away to a better one where most Americans shop as it's in a nice neighborhood and you don't have to get hit by carts or rushed out of the way.

One Barnes and Nobles added a section for "spanish language books, magazines, and newspapers" and now the ILLEGALS "hang out" but mostly sleeping in the chairs and on the floor making it difficult to even walk in the store. Not to mention allowing their Anchors free run, I suppose it a training ground for crossing the border.

Yes, there are many ways, but things like that are not available in this small town. Of course, others could be bringing things they found or were given - I'll admit.

I'm not above a little dumpster diving myself.

But they do steal a lot and what do they do with it? I'm thinking they sell it.

Truly, we had a huge problem with the women at the estate sales.

My husband was raised in the Mexican culture, he talks like them, he understand them, and he has a real soft spot for Mexicans. When I would talk about these things, he would actually get miffed at me.

I fixed that, I made him help us and sit and take the money. When he saw things he knew should have been $5 with a .25 tag on them, or saw them hand things to their little kids to take to the car, he began to see what I meant.

I have actually seen him tear up after a day of dealing with them..

He said, 'this is not the Mexican people I grew up with'. Well, they aren't the ones I grew up with either, or the ones who are family members, or good friends.

The problem, however, is big. But they are here breaking dozens of laws, why should they worry about stealing directly from people.

One day I had caught a little kid, 7, making a lot of trips to the car. I stopped his mother and told her to have him bring things back, she 'no hablad' me, but the kid understood. He quickly explained to her as I was very mad.

As he was bringing the things back in, a policemean walked up. They usually shopped at the sales too. The policeman didn't say a word, neither the mother nor the kid was at all intimidatd by him.

After they left, I asked the policeman what he was going to do when that kid got to be 15. He said 'Retire!'.

    But really, illegals shoplift?? No.

I am sure all illegals do not steal, in fact I know some that I trust.

When I used to help a friend liquidate personal estates, at least 50% of the female illegals stole - or tried to steal. That is not an exageration, just fact. It was a constant battle. They would stuff things in their clothing, in babies carry alls, send their little kids to the car with things one at a time, or they would exchange the tags.

The odd thing was, I never had trouble with the men. It was the women.

I have gotten to garage sales and the young women holding the sale would just be in tears because a carload of illegals had swarmed in and stolen things. It has happened a number of times.
I know what you mean. We learned here in Fort Worth about 10 years ago that if you're going to do a garage sale, you need extra help just for security! My brother called me a couple of months ago to do security at his garage sale, and he will help me when I have mine in 2 weeks. We learned about this about 10 years ago when we had MANY things stolen. They try to use a distraction while their kids fill their pockets.

    Welcome, jshhmr.

How is the problem in Ft. Worth.?

I've heard it was bad, but we don't really have an opportunity to do more than pass through and stop at Starbuck's on Camp Bowie.

It breaks my heart to see young mothers who are selling things to make money for school clothes, etc., and see them after the illegals have stolen a lot from them.

My daughter taught me what to do about the switched tags.

She was haivng a sale to get money together for college, and had some nice clothing etc. They would come at her with an armload of her clothing, and she didn't even look at the tags, she knew what she had priced them at and just added up the real prices.

They're eyes would get really big, but they always paid.

So my husband would always call me when a bunch of them had armloads and I called out the prices - the way they were priced originally.

Sometimes they would look up at me and I would just smile.

Honestly I guess it depends on which ones you visit like with all stores so the one in eastlake I have never had a problem nor with the borders store I visit. I don't think I've seen more than one or two at a time and they don't stay too long. It's a quiet store so it's not like their kids can run up and down the aisles screaming and yelling and throwing things around because they'd get escorted out very quickly.

    [quote="nntrixie"]Welcome, jshhmr.

How is the problem in Ft. Worth.?

Well I was born and raised here. I grew up in a diverse but English speaking neighborhood. I was able to play outside without worry. I went to a diverse but English speaking Keller ISD. Now, I bought a house in the same neighborhood and I am surrounded by mexican thugs that scare me, my 5 year old isn't safe playing outside, and the same elementary school I went to has an ESL program so English isn't as important as spanish, and my property taxes are through the roof because of all of this! We are literally being taken over here in Ft Worth because of Sanctuary laws. Don't get me wrong we do have a rich and proud Hispanic heritage here, and I love the food and legal immigrants that are here. It's just for some reason in the past 10 years it has gone from immigrants wanting to be American and assimilating, to give them everything for free and demand that we speak their language. I'm sure this is the same story all over our great country. By the way if you like Tex-Mex, the next time you are on Camp Bowie go to El-Fenix. Same recipes by the Martinez family since 1912! Very good!

Regarding Barnes and Noble, Borders and Macy's; it depends where the store is. I was at one Macy's store and the woman ignored me and served other hispanics in spanish and another one was staring at me and following me as if I were shoplifting. In another department the women were have a loud gab fest in Spanish and not one offered to help me. It was only a black woman who actually served me and told me the items I was interested in would be 10 to 20% off the next day. I was grateful for her kindness. When I came home I sent Macy's an email about my experience at that store and explained how helpful the black woman was and how rude the other were.
