    Yeah
    I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

    So tell me, why do you want another pro-amnesty, pro-immigration, pro-free trade globalist in the US Congress?

    Doug Hoffman from his website in his own words:

    "Where do you stand on illegal immigration?

    "There is no question that our immigration policies are flawed. The answer, though, is not to put up a wall and stop all immigration. The answer is to create an easier path for immigrants to enter the United States – and to work here – while at the same time getting tough on illegal immigrants who commit crimes."

    His biggest backer, Club for Growth who has contributed over $100,000 to his campaign:

    "Club for Growth is a national network of thousands of Americans, from all walks of life, who believe that prosperity and opportunity come through economic freedom. We work to promote public policies that promote economic growth primarily through legislative involvement, issue advocacy, research, training and educational activity.

    "The primary tactic of the separate Club for Growth PAC is to provide financial support from Club members to viable pro-growth candidates to Congress.

    "Club for Growth Policy Goals:

    * Making the Bush tax cuts permanent
    * Death tax repeal
    * Cutting and limiting government spending
    * Social Security reform with personal retirement accounts

    * Expanding free trade

    * Legal reform to end abusive lawsuits
    * Replacing the current tax code
    * School choice
    * Regulatory reform and deregulation"

    Bill Owens:

    Economy

    There is no question that America today faces a more difficult economy than we have seen in recent memory. Every day, more hardworking families in Upstate New York and all across the nation are struggling to make ends meet.

    Bill Owens thinks that companies receiving tax breaks from the government must live up to their end of the promise. That's why he supports holding big businesses accountable by taking away tax breaks from companies that outsource jobs away from Upstate New York.

    Moreover, the actions we take will have long-term effects on our economy, and our children and grandchildren will carry the burdens we fail to address today. Bill Owens believes that for too long, the politicians in Washington have been spending blindly, letting our federal deficit spin out of control. He thinks we must now restore fiscal restraint and get our financial house in order to avoid even worse problems down the road. That's why in Congress, Owens will fight for more balanced budgets and less deficit spending to help minimize the debt future generations will face.

    Bill Owens also supports an estate tax exemption for up to $5 million, a threshold that will make sure family farms and small businesses in Upstate New York are not negatively impacted. He does not support increasing taxes on small businesses or middle class families that are already struggling during these tough economic times.

    Bill Owens on Health Care Reform

    Bill Owens is committed to health care reform. He understands that we need reform for the millions of Americans who don't have affordable health care, as well as for those who have inadequate care or live in fear that their coverage may not be there when they really need it. As a Member of Congress, Bill Owens will fight for health care reform that responsibly fixes our broken system for us and for future generations.

    Bill Owens supports health care reform that accomplishes these goals:

    · Supports: Controlling health care costs for the middle class.

    · Supports: Providing access to affordable health insurance for every American.

    · Supports: Preventing insurance companies from denying coverage to anybody based on previous existing conditions and bans caps on lifetime coverage.

    · Supports: Giving small business and individuals access to the lowest rates available to federal employees and large corporations.

    · Supports: Allowing anybody to keep their existing coverage.

    · Supports: Using profits from repayment of TARP funds, allowing the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy to expire, increased efficiency in our health care system (like putting all health care records on-line and requiring insurance companies to accept payment on-line), and cutting special interest tax loopholes (like tax benefits for companies that offshore jobs) to help pay for health care reform.

    · Supports: Allowing states to use savings from elimination of uncompensated care costs (Over $100 billion annually) to reduce taxes. In New York this would help prevent property tax increases.

    Bill Owens is opposed to:

    · Opposes: Medicare benefit cuts. We can all agree that there are inefficiencies and waste in the system, but any savings should be used to strengthen Medicare.

    · Opposes: Taxing health care benefits.

    · Opposes: Increasing taxes on the middle class in any way.

    Bill Owens knows how important farmers and ranchers are to our economy, and to the values that guide us in our everyday lives. Farmers and ranchers in Upstate New York work hard to provide America with a safe, affordable and abundant food supply, and it is incumbent upon us to give them the support they need to get the job done.

    That's why Owens will fight to help local farmers and ranchers by using subsidies and import limits to make sure they get fair prices for their goods. And Owens supports Senator Chuck Schumer's call for an investigation into why dairy farmers are getting paid lower and lower prices for their milk, while the price of milk remains high in stores. Bill will go to Congress and work for farm policy that works for producers as well as consumers to make our local economy work better for everyone.

    Bill will make rural development a priority in Congress, and protect the agricultural jobs that sustain so many families in Northern and Central New York. From rural broadband deployment to issues of water supply and rural housing, Bill will fight to continually improve the lives of rural New Yorkers. In Congress, he will work to make sure that New York’s farms are kept healthy and strong for generations to come.

    Bill Owens is a leader on job creation in Upstate New York who helped bring over 2,000 jobs to the region. When the Plattsburgh Air Force Base closed, he helped create the Plattsburgh Airbase Redevelopment Corporation to ensure the land was used to create jobs, and currently there are more than 500 jobs based there as a result of his leadership. Bill also fought tirelessly to help recruit businesses from Canada to Upstate New York, and will continue his fight to attract new business in Congress.

    Owens laid out a seven-point plan for how he will continue his fight to support job creation in Congress.

    · Leading the Way on Green Energy:

    Upstate New York has already taken strides to promote a green energy economy, and that's creating good paying jobs for working families across the state. Whether it is solar, wind, biomass or other technologies, our Congressional District is already up and running with a green energy industry. We need to promote more of this kind of investment so we can continue to create better paying jobs for Upstate New York.

    · Recruiting Canadian Investment:

    Throughout my career, I have worked to bring investments from Canadian businesses to New York to help create jobs. In all, I've helped create over 2,000 jobs for Upstate New York. Just recently, the Watertown Daily Times reported efforts are underway by St. Lawrence County and Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority to entice Canadian business and show that it is more cost-efficient for many Canadian businesses to manufacture their products here – these are exactly the kinds of steps we need to take to strengthen our local economy, and I will champion these efforts in Congress.

    · Keeping Fort Drum Strong:

    The talent, workforce and resources housed at and around Fort Drum make the base a tremendous economic engine for the region. As a Member of Congress, I will fight to keep Fort Drum strong so it can continue to be the engine of our local economy for years to come.

    · Job Training for Recent Graduates and America's Veterans:

    Recent college graduates and our veterans returning home from overseas are entering the civilian workforce in the midst of a troubled economy unlike anything Americans have seen in decades. Moreover, recently unemployed workers, especially older workers, need a way to quickly retrain and reenter the workforce at a job that pays as well or better than the one they lost. In Congress, I will work to invest in jobs programs at our local colleges and technical schools and create job training and job placement programs for our veterans.

    · Protecting and Improving Local Infrastructure:

    Upstate New York is blessed with an extraordinary workforce, but to attract businesses and create jobs for our region we have to maintain and expand our infrastructure to further incentivize the creation of businesses in Upstate New York. I strongly support the improvements necessary to keep the Port of Oswego moving forward, and as a Member of Congress I will fully support efforts to construct I-98 so we can move people and goods more efficiently through the state.

    · Making Our Universities a Part of the Solution:

    We have some of the best colleges, technical schools and universities in the country right here in Upstate New York. By supporting institutions of higher education here at home, we can continue to attract talent to our area that will support businesses large and small for years to come. Moreover, our colleges and universities are tremendous economic engines for the community, creating jobs in the short term and helping promote technological advances that will bring investment to Northern and Central New York in the long term. As a Member of Congress, I will work to ensure increased funding for higher education so that today's graduates can become tomorrow's leaders.

    · Protecting Our Farms Today and for the Future:

    Agriculture is important for our entire economy, and is a critical component of the markets that affect all of us. If farmers, including dairy farmers, aren't getting a fair price for their product, it's bad for everyone in Upstate New York. That's why I support Senator Chuck Schumer's call for an investigation into why dairy farmers are getting paid lower and lower prices for their milk, while the price of milk remains high in stores. We need farm policy that benefits producers as well as consumers, so we can keep our economy strong for all the hardworking families of Upstate New York.

    BREAKING: Scozzafava suspends NY 23 campaign

    Republican Dede Scozzafava has suspended her bid in next Tuesday’s NY 23 special election, a huge development that dramatically shakes up the race. She did not endorse either of her two opponents -- Conservative party candidate Doug Hoffman or Democrat Bill Owens.

    The decision to suspend her campaign is a boost for Hoffman, who already had the support of 50 percent of GOP voters, according to a newly-released Siena poll, and is now well-positioned to win over the 25 percent of Republicans who had been sticking with Scozzafava.

    Scozzafava has “probably made her last campaign appearance between now and Election Day,â€

    Republicans and Independents ... Dede Scozzafava is still on the ballot, so you can still do the right thing on Tuesday. You know her, vote for her. She lives in your district, vote for her. You know she cares about fiscal conservatism, vote for her. You know she supports law and order, vote for her. You know she opposes cap and trade because it will destroy our economy, vote for her. You know she cares about working Americans, not illegal aliens, vote for her. You know she's not in bed with globalist open borders free trade traitor millionaires, vote for her. Do the right thing, vote for her.

    Why are there people here at ALIPAC rooting for a pro Amnesty open borders agent of the Globalists over a candidate that is not for Amnesty?

    That sounds like a real shame to me. Anyone want to explain their support for the pro Amnesty candidate.

    ALIPAC is opposed to Amnesty for illegal aliens as we are opposed to candidates that support Amnesty for illegals like Hoffman.

    Need we add a rule that supporting pro Amnesty candidates is forbiden on the ALIPAC website?

    I would support such a rule, William. The purpose of our organization is to lobby against pro-amnesty pro-immigration free-trade globalists in the US Congress and State General Assemblies.

    It makes no sense at all for our members to support a pro-amnesty "create a path for more people to enter our country--and work here" candidate for a seat in the US Congress.

    What message does that send to other politicians and candidates running for office whom we try to secure pledges from to support stopping illegal immigration and excess immigration? Seems to me it sends the message that if you're pro-amnesty, pro-immigration, pro-trade but Pro-life and hate unions, you get a free pass. That is devastating to our cause in my view.

    No Amnesty candidates. Period. Amnesty is the spearhead of a push for the NAU. No way, no how.

    Exactly. Voters in the NY-23, vote for Dede Scozzafava on Tuesday. Her name is still on the ballot. She's been lied about and misrepresented by big money globalists who want to expand free trade and legalize illegal aliens to integrate multi-national populations including ours. Do the right thing, New York. Send Dede to Washington, not a pro-amnesty globalist PayPal like Doug Hoffman.

    And contributors to the "Minuteman PAC", next time contribute your money to ALIPAC who vets and cross-vets candidates before they issue an endorsement.
